And we end Christmas Day's uploads with - rather appropriately - a closedown! More Christmas-themed uploads to come tomorrow! :)
I don't have the junction to the Christmas Day epilogue that was sandwiched between Clockwise (the end of the previous upload) and into this film, as both the previous upload and this came from tapes from two different sources.

Wow! That is beautiful! The world as an ornament!
It’s a spinning top.
@@stickytapenrust6869 Now I see it. Sorry for that. 😂
@@WolfKing-dv6xd I thought it was a bauble too but when I looked closely at the top and bottom I knew it was a spinning top

@@gazza1196 He sounded like a great man and a hero. So sorry your time together was cut short. Thank youGazza, you’re so kind. Cheers to christmases long past with our lost loved ones.
Merry Xmas STAR, and a happy new year!
The anthem in the closedown is in the wrong tune. It must be the G tune. Not in F# tune.
I think it’s more likely the playback speed on the record player or the cartridge tape player was set slightly too slow…
Anything in the F# tune sounds beautiful, but that's just my opinion
Did BBC Radio 2 sign off at 4 a.m.?
No, by that time it was 24 hours.
They were on all night long.
