So what’s he supposed to do? Not soundcheck the riffs? The point of him doing this is to make sure everything sounds perfect for The Edge. From the pedals to the amps. He has to play everything pretty much the same to double check if the settings are right.

No, Edge is very song specific. A lot of his guitars are tuned for one song, so he swaps out after every song.

Seen U2 in 1988 in Wgtn NZ at Athletic Park, still recall those tones now. Edge has created some iconic riffs but not as good as jimmy page imo
