That means putting an end to modern entertainment.

McDonald's transition over the years has been interesting. They went from promoting themselves as a kid's restaurant to completely changing to more of an adult coffee house look. They even changed the way the restaurants looked. They went from being bright and colorful to more adult colors. I don't even think I have seen a new advertisement for a happy meal in years.
Thank you VERY much for the work you did to compose these old commercials. I actually remember some from my Saturday morning cartoon days. My 12 year old thinks that their slogan "Its a good time for the great taste of McDonald's" Should make a come back & stay.
OMG I remember these commercials, the McNuggets, I used to love them, I thought they were so cute, I miss these days, the 80s were a wonderful time to be a kid.
@@bradbradthebrad While Ed Wynn voiced the Mad Hatter, I’m afraid it’s not possible for him to voice Mayor McCheese. You see, he died in either 1965 or 1967, which was before Mayor McCheese’s debut. I reckon another actor provided his role.
it was my favorite restaurant as a kid in the 80s and early 90s... my favorite food, with nice toys, beautiful characters and colors everywhere... + i played in the kid park in the restaurant, it was GREAT.
I was watching a morning weekday tv game show. The name "Ronald McDonald" appeared on the screen and the contestant must guest what his/her partner is giving out by saying the clues. The partner said,"red hair, clown, big macs",and the contestant trying to figure out didn't even know.
Moe H. I think it has something to do with the remnants of this era being prevalent in the restaurants- the ones with playgrounds especially. One of my local restaurants had paintings of all of these characters on the wall (including the fry guys, which I hadn’t seen anywhere else besides these commercials) and I see pictures all the time of the old seats that looked like burgers with eyes.
I can't believe I remember all these commercials (minus the Japanese ones lol) I was only 2 in 84 and 3 in 85 but yet I can't remember what I did yesterday lol
Yeah. Plus the most interesting fact about this commercial is that the hamburglar’s voice actor Charlie Adler reprised his role thirteen years after it aired.
Does any of these collections have the original "Do You Believe In Magic" commercial, with the line "Hamburgers that talk, chicken McNuggets you can take for a walk"? ISTR it coming a lot earlier than the 1992 ads.
The entire McDonald's roster was great, some may have been bad guys, but they all got along and had fun at the end of the day. I'd love to see McDonald's commercials be more like these being aired today, these are way more effective then the bland stuff they show now. 🙄 😒 😑
Michael Reyes In 2003, debated started with the company if they should continue to use these characters, or spam the "I'm Loving It" campaign. The latter option was chosen, and the McDonaldland characters were phased out. :/
I never new that McDonald's was this popular my mom has always said to me that I would hate it but when I went in I was hooked with their fries and burgers also their McNuggets and yummy pancakes but after a while we never went to McDonald's anymore then when 2016 began we went back it was odd that was the day my dad told me I sickened him because I refused to put on pants that were so not comfy
My dad’s name is Ronald. When I was little I was certain that he was really Ronald McDonald. One day, when I was maybe 2 or 3, my mom said we were at McDonalds without my dad and I saw a huge picture of Ronald on the wall. She said I pointed and shouted, “LOOK, MOMMY, THERE’S DADDY!!!” People just gave my mom weird looks. I’m just saying, though - I’ve never seen my dad and RM in the same place.
I'm about 99.9% certain Sam the Olympic Eagle was voiced by none other than veteran voice actor Frank Welker, of Scooby-Doo game (Freddie) of many, many, MANY, others.
Welker also voiced Megtron, from Transformers, Abu in Aladdin (The older, animated version; he voiced the Cave of Wonders in the new live-action one) and countless other animated characters. i grew up seeing mac tonight commercials
I love the old days
In some countries they were still using the entire McDonaldland characters in the 90's.
These commercials are a lot more fun than the modern ones
There needs to be more creative commercials like this

Honestly, it reflects the world. It used to all be fun, happy and carefree. But now, it's all bland, miserable, and "grown up".

Of course the chicken McNuggets are boneless, that is because they are also chicken-less, lol

If only we could go back in time and enjoy the simpler life of the 70s and 80s.
I miss the 1980s so very much
That Scrooge Christmas party with McNuggets one was adorable. ^^
The weird moment when Hamburglar was suddenly a little kid instead of an old guy.
Jonothan Thrace yep irk they had to redesign him again
They had to make him look more kid-friendly
Jools Harmes When did people get so wimpy
