    I left this comment in your last 2024 Elite review: "to get more trunk space (if not storing the middle seat back there) you can remove those 2 plastic dividers and the lift up floor section can be positioned almost to the bottom of that area. This gives you more space without having to have stuff under that lid. I have a 2019 Pilot that that back floor can be lowered about another 3 or 4 inches and I wanted to see if the new Pilot's could also be positioned in a similar way so when I test drove one the other week I specifically tested this function and I can confirm there are indeed 2 possible trunk floor levels with the removable lid." Not sure why no reviewers in their videos show that you can lower that floor to give you quit a bit more space without having to lift the floor up to store stuff underneath. Gives you about another 6 inches deep of trunk storage if you are not storing the middle seat back there.

      I had a 2011 Envoy XL. there were three possible configurations to the hatch area. I don't understand why that didn't catch on with all SUV/Crossovers.

    The only thing I don't like about that middle seat is when it's removed there are no arm rests which is a little annoying.

    I think the lane assist camera on the passenger side of the older Honda models that comes on when you use your right turn signal would be such a great asset to this vehicle as the Pilot is slightly longer than the 2023 model. I believe it would help drivers who have never owned an SUV with estimating distance of other vehicles to their vehicles when it comes to lane changes.

    Just bought the Blue and Grey. Being made the last week of February. Can't wait!!!

    Really impressed with this SUV. Ready to trade in my '17 Highlander Platinum as the latest Highlander design does nothing for me, and the Grand Highlander (hybrid) seems very plain and even flimsy (I've see many reviews showing how thin the metal is), but I can't find a radiant red Elite anywhere in AZ. My understanding is that Honda dealerships are no longer able to order from the factory a specific model/color/trim; they are allocated whatever Honda sends them. Very frustrating to have to wait.

      Not True. I just ordered mine - blue and grey. My salesperson gave me the week it will be built. Last week of February. I'm in Ohio. Won't get it until the first week of March. Also did the very same thing two years ago with the 22 Accord Touring 2.0T. My salesperson told me the week it was going to be built, and it came that week - Even in the middle of Covid.

    Planning to buy a new or slightly used vehicle soon. This one is on my list. A couple of nitpicks on this Elite trim. The front passenger seat really should have more adjustment at this price. Not being able to go up and down is almost criminal at this price. I wish there were more external color choices. A nice forest green with brown interior would of been lovely! I wish you could get the ultimate Pilot by getting the elite trim with the Trailsport features. Some other vehicles I'm considering is the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid Max Platinum, a lower trimmed Lexus TX, and a Acura MDX Advance. I have mostly owned Hondas in the last 20 years so I have some brand loyalty as all of them have been very reliable and not too hard on the wallet maintenance wise.

      I agree with you on all accounts. This redesign has more misses than the out going version. I'm considering the exact group of cars as well. The Lexus looks a little blah inside to me for the price as well.

    I have and still drive the 2010 Honda Pilot Touring. I love this truck. She has over 180K miles on her. In the new one, personally I don’t care for the captain seats or the removable middle on the second row. That is a feature I wished they had left or at least give you the option to have. And I love the exterior of my 2010. It appears the newer models are smaller in exterior body. I haven’t done a side by side comparison yet but it will be a deciding factor when we start shopping for our next SUV.

      Funny thing is the Odyssey has more interior room than the Pilot. The Pilot is just more fun to drive. We have had both.

    The air conditioner vents aren’t large enough when temperatures get above 95 just like most Toyota cars.

    Tom, thanks for the review - this is right up there with the Grand Highlander and TX. Please, can you tell me what the blank button is (to the right of the liftgate button and the traction control button) starting at 14:55? If this is the top trim, what feature is it missing?

    Very nice but I was not expecting it to be that expensive. With the dealer add on I'm sure it would be closer to $55,000.00. The 3rd row is tight. I do like the removable middle seat and full spare tire. Sorry but did you mention the mpg? Thank you for the video

    • @billsmith3439
      @billsmith3439 9 місяців тому

      I don't think you'll find a roomier 3rd row unless you go to a Yulon or Expedition sized vehicle.

    • @KomarBrolan
      @KomarBrolan 9 місяців тому

      Since it is the top trim there should be plenty of room for bargaining. Start talking to two dealers and have them compete with each other.

      In my neck of the woods, they can't even get them in stock let alone pit one dealer against another. They'll get one in every month or so.@@KomarBrolan

      3rd row is tight? Shows you never even tried a back seat of this car. And yes he mentioned MPG. Lazy azz complaining loZer can’t even watch the video. Complains about something he doesn’t have or even seen in person.

    Honda went backward on this version. I have a 2018 Pilot and a 2021 Passport. I have owned Honda and Acura for the past 23 years.
    The Misses: The infotainment system looks very out of place. I like the way they integrated it on the previous models and this one is already too small. The console arm rest. I like the individual ones the previous version had because of their versatility.
    The middle row removable seat. If you take it out, you lose your arm rest in the middle as well as 2 cupholders. Also the cupholders in the doors aren't as accommodating as the previous design. Manual 3 row seats. My '21 Passport has a button on inner rear corner panel that will fold the seats down. Having to use a strap on an Elite level SUV is ridiculously cheap on Honda's part. Which brings me to front seat adjustability. There is hardly any. It should be 10 way on BOTH driver and passenger seats like the rest of the cars in its class. It's a joke that Honda is so cheap. Heated middle row seats ONLY on the Elite? My Passport Touring has them and so did the previous Pilot Touring. What's the point of the Touring in the line-up with this version. You get less than the Trailsport, and pretty much the same as the EXL.
    Lastly, color choices. So Honda can't come up with some new colors for the redesign? Seriously? The same boing, ugliest in class colors, minus an uglier change in the red and the gawd-awful sonic grey? COME ON HONDA!!! At least offer that green they came out with for a little while in previous version.
    The car industry has gotten cheap and stale. We should be able to order what color we want with what options we want. You used to be able to order cars with what you want, now we are offered less, not to mention Honda's inventory problems are ridiculous.

      I'm keeping my 2019 simply because of that infotainment system sticking out and Honda going back to that storage lift instead on the slide storage with the driver and passenger arm rest. I LOVE the slide because i can sit my eggs, purse, etc.. on it. I'm so disappointed.
