Have a TS6.130... had to grow on me a bit, but I've grown to like it so far. That thing works great for mowing, raking, bale hauling, and odd jobs. Very stable tractor for ditches. Couple things I don't like about it, but it's nice much lower cost machine. Looking at least starting $10-20k lower price vs a t5 or t6 for when you don't need all those features. As for the rough shift up for highway gears (3rd or 4th high), back off on the RPMs simultaneously when shifting the dual power up... Think of it driving a big rig floating gears.
I've watched a LOT of your videos so far. I really do appreciate the extensive information and the great camera work. The extra effort is appreciated! I'm in Virginia, but I'd consider buying from you guys.
Maybe the "TS" relates to the old familiar ts series... Like ts110.. With dual command transmission ??? The hi-low is very old school carried on by Ford/Fiat and was very popular and can also be very useful when ploughing for example,, being able to powershift down when the going gets tough is very handy!!
@@ferguson20diesel49 not really... SLE was powershift.. Only troublesome when the tips of the switches which told the ecu which range/direction you had selected wore out. Update them to the later type with metal ends and keep it calibrated and they were sweet. SL box was manual without a powershift function. Trans shown here is dual command
Andrew Gaulton had both. Sl-dp and sle. Box went in both. Cable stretches on sle and won’t stay in gear. Fuses. Bad wiring. Once you know those things they were great. But neither was a fantastic puller even with a turbo fitted. Our fiat 110-90 always won that match even tho it’s just a straight 6
@@ferguson20diesel49 yeah the cables were a problem.. But easily replaceable! I thought the 8340 pulled like shit on the road.. Plenty of power!! I'm a fan of both.. I can't choose one or the other.. Fiat/Ford!!
Geeze now I feel old. I ran an old international 1206 back in my teens (almost 50 now, what the hell happened?)that you picked your gear and took off. Also ran an 806 that had the high low shift which I really liked. And now I'm watching Niel shift a tractor like a pickup truck. Geeze...
do you really mean they scrap them (as in, they have no value)? or might it be they are instead selling/trading them in to buy newer versions (simply because they do hold good value, or they have budget they "need" to spend, or perhaps they're simply on a 5-year depreciation schedule)?
@@CharlieArehart1 They get scrapped, as in they have no value left due to corrosion issues. These tractors spend all their lives going up and down the beach pulling beach groomers or being used to empty trash cans and similar chores. EDIT: I should point out that I live in Florida, and beach grooming is a 365 day a year chore for the County.
Sandy you don't need to work a tractor on the beach where I am in Scotland for them to get severely rusted out. We get 50mph wind commonly in winter and it blows salt spray from the sea all over our island and in just a couple years trailers, power harrows, ploughs etc. can rust solid if left out in the elements.
That transmission seems very similar to the old Massey Speedshift transmission. It's not a bad transmission but you don't want to kid yourself into thinking that it's a partial powershift transmission like the others. Still not too bad for an economy model.
Nice video, though it may leave more questions. I assume it has a power shuttle as you somewhat demonstrated with the backup alarm. Since I may be in the market for a boom mower, looking for the best option for a power unit, be it green, blue or red, but want to get the right features. It would seem to me that the CVT would be the ideal choice for a boom mower as opposed to the dual power.?? And is this the 25 mph transmission for roading?
From my guess its the same as the dual power of the older Fords it's better then a t/a thought. Hence the dual power name under the model. I'd take the standard transmission over the new electronic bs any day

I've noticed that my state has gone to Ventrac for highway mowing, great on side slopes.
It’s basically the old transmission like the 8600 7710 and the Tw series just has sincronisers in the 4 box
Great overview video Neil! Keep them coming!!!

Andrew Gaulton like the troublesome sle year box in 40 series ford

Nice feedmixer tractor,Nice and cheap, has everything you need for it
Our JD 2440 has a thing like that dual power. Super nice for baling small square bales
My county seems to buy these for beach sweeping and then scraps 'em every 5-6 years.

The rear end looks a lot like the older Fords and the dual power is a definite take away from them but the button used to be on the floor.
Nice Tractor Neil. I like Blue too.
We have a ts6.140 pretty good tractor but a little light

what horse power do they range from how much from and too?
Just for fun do they get the loaders painted yellow or orange if the tractor is ordered that way.
That is a real tractor, like it
That rear end looks awful like the older Fords..... which factory is the TS6 series assembled?
England!
valleyboy Ummmm i dont think so, Its a US spec tractor they aren’t sold here
They are assembled in Mexico just like the 10s series
May you please make more videos about new holland and case ih tractors
High spec new holland tractors in usa are like basic spec new hollands in Ireland or UK
There’s not much farming done in the uk or Ireland the farms up in Montana are about the size of Ireland
@@jacoswan3719 ya so manufactures look at the usa with a quantity over quality perspective
Jaco Swan There’s a fuckload of farming done in these counties😂 Hours on the clock are still hours on the clock no matter what size farm
@@Andy-mj6up harder driving too, its not srt out in a straight line for half an hour
Jack d Exactly😂 Tractors actually get driver and driven hard on all conditions not guided by satellites on smooth flat land😂
Neal, Thanks for another informative video. 👍👍

Which is cheaper, clutch replacement or CVT upgrade, or more PS range?
I personally love Green, but grew up on Blue and faded red, and our trucks are red.

I know the title is mislabeled but is there any chance they make a TS6.100 or a Workmaster 100?
Very same back end as the old TS range
For a cheaper line up, i would expect older engines types. Is this correct?
No, modern engines.
Epa prevents older engine. I wish I could get a new tractor with an old school mechanical Injection system with no electronics.
Shredxcam22 you can, it’s what i call a “third world special “
Neil i notice this looks a lot like my farmall 75c cab, does case offer an economy tractor this size? I guess the t4.75 and 75c are identical correct?
Farmall 100A I believe. In this size, yes the Case and NH models are the same. There are more differences as the tractors get larger.
Nice review.
Noce reviews!
I need to change my coolant on my Masse Ferguson gc2610 and I don't know wath type of cooling to use. Is there any special coolant?
Thanks!
Have a good week
does the hi/lo work like a t/a?
yes

Same tractor as a caseih 100A?
Air ride seats are a standard feature now wtf!!
We dont have a TS 6.110 in ireland
Why don't Americans use hook link arms? Just about every tractor I've driven has hooks instead of ball link arms.
Masseyman6480 and there so much nicer we have older tractor than we have 5 never machines and there a dream to run it
oliver did
