Never blind bought so fast in my life. I've become addicted to open-back headphones and was hoping that ChiFi would start getting into open-back IEM's. Not only has KZ done that, but the graph looks amazing, and judging by the included case it seems that they're finally listening to customers and reviewers.
This looks really really interesting, I couldn't take it seriously because it was KZ and the name is just, weird, but your comments have genuinely piqued my interest. Although, I'm curious, how do these compare in techs(soundstaging, detail retrieval, imaging) compared to popular 50 dollar sets?
I purchased my Ling long after watching your video. First impression, sound is a quite similar to CRN ZEX Pro except Ling long has slightly lower on the air. For the price, I think it’s worth as I can also wear it outdoors on the go because of non earhook design. In general, I like both my KZs 😂😂😂
The voice is close to the ear, the overall tuning experience is good, the analysis is very strong, you can hear a lot of details, and the degree of separation is very clear. I am very satisfied with the experience of the voice.
Hey! Great review! What would be better for gaming for soundstage, easier to locate enemies, KZ Ling Long or QKZ x HBB Khan? With which one it is more 3D? I watched sounstage part with auto translate, it says ling long is little better for soundstage, am i right? + 1 Question, is Ling Long more fatiguing to listen compared to Khan because it has not that much of a bass as Khan?
Surprise surprise, didn’t think much of them when they were recently introduced as moss 6mm drivers don’t have the airiness or extensions I like. Btw what happened to your voice Ian? Caught in the rain while visiting Fatfreq?
The build quality seems top of the line. I've seen dozens of similar earphones without strain reliefs where the cable connects to the earphone and it's the most common point of failure ( I lost my Quarks because of it)
I ordered them last week! I have a soft spot for bullet-type IEMs like these ones. What happened to your voice or mic? You voice sounds much more different. Geeetings!
Agreed. I used one Signature Acoustic O16 iems. It was so good for seperation and openness. But sucked at other things. I have it to my friend in 2014 thinking I will buy similar iem. Never found any. Coming 2023 and this is the first open back iem I'm seeing.
Wow, that looks really nice, and not just for the price, like in general really fucking good. I hope they have good QC, because you never know with these ChiFi companies.
Footsteps can be heard well enough on Moondrop Quarks DSP. Quarks DSP actually beats Moondrop Chu in terms of footsteps, rustling of the leaves or grass, bullets firing at a distance etc. So I feel DSP is the best option for gaming. This is my opinion. You might have different one.
Buddy, I now understand. You apparently received TRN MT4 for review, for promotional purposes. But they sent them to you before the world release. You just rushed to release this video. I hope the MT4 review will see the light of day
Nice tuning though. But!!! The cable is horrible! I like this, I was disappointed with Ola Bass because it has a damn big mid-bass but none of sub-bass, the rumble basically gone. KZ, if you read this… Make more of this with CRA-like shell. That bass is good, also the treble don't have that jankinesss between 5k to 8k. This is a God-tier! The cable is disappointed me.
Great work, Ian, cant wait to compare them, my pair coming in week or less than 2 weeks;) Got them, and kinda felt disapointed, they should call them pingpong, soundstage isnt better or wider like you said, its taller and vocals seems to jump up or down, kinda strange feeling, thats why i said they should call them ping pong, resolution and imaging arent close to qdsp, qdsp is much better product than this ping pong, bass on ping pong is more punchy but in same time muddier, qdsp have nice clean bass... This iem isnt better than Quarks DSP;) Even i had expectation they will be better than quarks;(

Tuning is more balanced, very listening, will not feel dizzy after listening to it for a long time. It feels very good. I like it very much.
I'm loving these new bullet style releases! I think I'll grab this set once it becomes available in my country

Excellent and detailed review. You're always the man to come to. Keep it up!

Great, honest and straightforward review !
as usual always the best suggestions.
I hope kz linlong can go to Indonesian market asap
Surprise surprise, didn’t think much of them when they were recently introduced as moss 6mm drivers don’t have the airiness or extensions I like. Btw what happened to your voice Ian? Caught in the rain while visiting Fatfreq?
Hey Ian. Could you compared the Lin Long to EDCX and DQS? Which one should I buy because there's no point to buy all three?
estaba esperando esta reseña desde que los vi en el mercado hace poco, gracias.
I just ordered one. I like the sound of quarks dsp . I think i will like this more.
The build quality seems top of the line. I've seen dozens of similar earphones without strain reliefs where the cable connects to the earphone and it's the most common point of failure ( I lost my Quarks because of it)
It looks so awesome!!
KZ finally matched the storage box, and the quality of the storage box was very good, which was unexpected. This headset is very comfortable to wear.
Nice review, gonna buy one if it is ready in my country 👍👍👍
I ordered them last week! I have a soft spot for bullet-type IEMs like these ones. What happened to your voice or mic? You voice sounds much more different. Geeetings!
How's the linglong's cable durability? I'm gonna use it as a sleeping earphone
Yes open back equals soundstage!
compare to tanchjim zero which is better in treble? thanks ian for review.
tanchjim because it sounds brighter. Down to personal preference.

This is the best option for $16,there are even free cases
Wow, that looks really nice, and not just for the price, like in general really fucking good.

seems like a slightly better quarks. if only they could tune like this with the traditional iem shape
I enjoy that little Quarks DSP. Well done KZ is they've beaten it or at least trade blows.
Ian is the linglong really open back or is it just for aesthetics pr something
yup it is open at the back as when i put my finger on the back it affects the sound
Now i get suprised by the case.... good job
This is the 2nd time i watched... now i get overthinking of your opinion 🤣
this products Worth Trying.
What is the nozzle diameter of this IEM? Will the Final Audio Type E fit in this?
Probably a dumb question, but does the open back mean people on the train can hear what I hear?
Yes if you use headphones, but driver this size is impossible
Are these as sibilant as the Tin T3's (og ones)? As I can't stand them so would rule these out I believe.
Found anyone wondering, they are not.
How does it sounds in comparison to cca hm20, tuning is similar and also both of them has xun driver.....
look nice. I think I will try it.
Is this good for punk rock music?
I was wondering whether that bass glide is to mimic dsp-tuck-in-bass and it seems i was right.
How it compare to qkz x hbb iem ?
Very curious about this too
It has totally different tuning.
Ling long vs waner or 7jz sero?? How is it?
Is it better for gaming ? and also how it is compare to truthear zero ?
It doesn't have a lot of midbass for hearing footsteps, I imagine

@@peacefulman2426for sure because there's more bass
I'll pass since I prefer a mildly forward vocal presence, sets like Kiwi Cadenza. Thanks for helping me make an informed decision.
comparison with tanchjim zero?
ThanksMuch!
this or the eda balance?
which is better 7hz salnotes zero or kz ling long
KZ LINGLONG better. More natural
@@adnanibnkhaldun1414 what about Ding Dong and Waner?
@@lrvan overall KZ linglong better. Linglong build quality is nice, that’s all metal.
Interesting IEM for me)
This or the waner or qkz hbb?
objectively, this is better than waner and qkz hbb
What about driver flex on this one?
Still there
Plzz tell iem for edm and pop under 20$
this one
my quarks are 3.5mm
What's up

Poor man's Variations.

Probably cuz of the dac you're using?
