This seems to be a hunt well suited for shotguns and maybe even a Norwegian style of roedeer hunt? We use dogs (often small) and shotguns, combination guns(one shotgun and one riflebarrel) and drillings (sbs shotgun with a rifle underneath). Some use plain rifles but for running shots on such a small game a shotgun is a true advantage.
I know it'd be frowned upon in the UK, but since they're not much large then a big hare or a fox, I'd assume using shotguns with either large shot like T or larger, or a small buckshot like #3 or #4 would be the most beneficial, especially in dense brush and thickets.
Great video. Well this had a dozen pages on stalking directory UK with self appointed Deer Manager spokesmen saying you don't need it you only need to stalk in the UK, surprisingly these guys are also the seem to have the biggest opinion one which thermal vision is best value. Doing 40 driven hunts a year on foxes, rabbits and deer down here I can say, as you know it takes a lot of resources, co-ordination and capital. Especially if you are using dogs such as beagles to push them out, which means kennels and more money. Also it takes some skill to shoot a moving deer and some people don't practice and have trouble on a benchrest getting a 2" group at 100m let alone hitting an animal running at 60km/hr at 50m. Look no further than the difference of quality between high seats on the Continent versus the UK.
Roy has had 26 operations on his hips. He was born with dislocated hips and the operation he had as a baby to correct them went wrong. He is now powered by titanium!
Hi..it's the Shotkam - Shotkam.com... It comes with 12 guage mount but with rifle shooting I've asked the guys for the 28 gauge mount and it works well...still need to "zero" it using the phone app as you would with the shotgun. D

@@fieldsportstv thats cool
I think that a double barrel shotgun wood be more practical because I wood use 5,2 mm lead shoot and if fox runout
Great hunting and filming. It proves once again shooting driven foxes is far harder than boar or deer lol!
We've had some proper murder-fests on fallow by driving them onto gun lines. Usually the muntjac are a by-catch.
Very nice 👍
Waidmannsheil! Which shot cam are you using?
