  • This is a short solo I’ve been working on over an eight-bar chord progression in A minor (Am-F-G-Em-F-Dm-Esus4-E), incorporating some tapped and natural harmonics, whammy bar dips, and bends into an arpeggio-based melody.

How did you know where to tap?

Tap on the fret corresponding to the small number in brackets

I learned that you can tap harmonics five, seven, and twelve frets away from any fretted note. For example, when you’re holding down the 7th fret, you can tap harmonics at the 12th, 14th, and 19th frets by directly hitting the fret wire. I hope I’m explaining that right. The math is confusing. 😅
