I started modeling again back in November after not having built anything for more than 50 years. Luckily I found your UA-cam channel. Which has helped me get up to date on; equipment, paints, tools, etc. Today as I was cleaning up after working on a few items I thought ”I need to get a better light” Finished supper and went to watch your latest video. There it was just the kind of light I need. Thanks again. cheers!
I’ve got an idea that will possibly get your attention. I’ve got eight air brushes that I’ve been able to store in one box. This is how I did it. I purchased two pieces of foam from Walmart. I quite don’t remember the exact dimensions on the foam but I think they’re about 2 inches thick. Previously I purchased a HART plastic tool box and cut the foam for the size of the box. I outlined the details of each airbrush with a marker and then I started cutting away at the outline and digging chunks of foam creating a pocket specifically for the contour of that airbrush. My airbrushes are safely stored in this tool box. I can send you a photo if you’d like??
If anyone is curious, Plano makes a lot of tackle boxes and organizers similar to the Harbor freight products. For a few dollars more, you can support a company that produces their products in the USA. Thanks for the video Rex!
Bob, I really enjoy your channel. Even though I am a miniature figure painter, I have used many of your tips. Thank you. You are like the neighbor I have always wanted.
I am retired now, and getting back into my old hobbies! Car modeling. I’m watching to get tips on items to work with . Thank you for the excellent tips and reviews.
Congratulations Jeff 👏👏 My goodness Gaahleri you guys are killing it, STANDING OVATION to Gaahleri Always love the tips and tools. As always Thank you very much for sharing and hope your wife is continuing to get better every day. Everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy and remember to SMILE 😊God Bless 🙏
Oh yeah, I love these tools and such videos. I find clamps are like paint clip sticks, more is always better. Especially if you find yourself squirelling between a couple of projects. Would you consider filming the building of the r.c. car? Maybe like a short WIP series? That would be rad. Another awesome tools review, have a good day yall.
Thanks, Just ran to my local Harbor Freight and picked up one of the small storage cases. Using it for all my many airbrush parts. Thanks for all of the reviews that you do.
@@twig4590 Cant. I already received and have used them. I did get both from subsequent runs. That being said mine do seem to be in perfect working order.
Hello Robert ! I hail from Rhode Island as well. Great to see someone from my little state as interested in the hobby as I am. Love watching your new product testing so we don't have to. ;-)-Ted
The scriber is a great tool I got one and it works in both directions.... I can cut the doors and trunks out of model cars easily and cleanly well worth the money spent. And it's a strong stable tool.
Congrats Jeff! Great name btw. I have a scribe like that I bought from Amazon and it allows me to insert the blades a little further in. It works great for scribing panel lines. It works great when I deepen car model panel lines that are faint. Good chisel point too for removing unwanted items on plastic prices.
Edit: Wait... mine wasn't from Harbor Freight. It was some brand sold on Amazon for the same price and looks exactly like the one in the video. (Original message below) I had that scriber. It sucked! First, the allen wrench screw stripped out. The allen wrench simply rounded out the hole. Second, several of the chisels snapped in half during use. I personally wouldn't recommend.
May give that desk light a go! I have one currently which is decent, but it only really shines in one area of the desk, and this one looks like it will light my whole work space. Before I heard the price I was thinking, “this thing is over $200,” and was shocked to see it go for so low! Also the Golden Maple brushes are solid, synthetics, and glad you mentioned them, cause for the price I can’t complain
Congratulations Jeff! And a really informative video bud! Thank you for all you do for the community! That airbrush is intriguing, but I'm getting to the point I have more airbrushed than paint. Lol
Just bought and received your Barbatos Rex Gaahleri Swallow Tail. I love it, love the weight of it, and has a great spray pattern. It will be great for painting wings and fuselages. Thanks Bob!
You can always cut some length off the chisel that sits in the handle (although it won't be but 1/2" or so) with a dremel being careful not to get it hot. Then when dull a cheap fine grit diamond hone in about the 400 range would put a new edge on it real quick. That small storage case, you can remove the 2 smaller brackets and only have the one. I've done this to the ones I use for fishing terminal tackle. It's still waterproof but easier to open. I also get all my fishing boxes organized to the sizes I want and then I hot glue the dividers in as they always are to loose or get to loose over time. Lil dab on the top where it inserts and then cut off what's to high. Can also do that on the black/yellow box.
man gaahleri is doing a great job with there products i have the ghad-68 and is a amazing airbrush gun I'm planning on get the Mobius 0.3mm but now they going to come in a set man that is a hard choice to take.
Congrats to Jeff!! No surprise to find that you found more items that are very handy for the hobby. That light looks like the magic light for the bench. When are you going to test the new air brushes, as they look very nice. On that note what needle size do you recommend for paint and which one for primer? Thanks for all you do for all of us out here.
4 ft led lights at Canadian tire are super bright and u can join them comes with mounting clips makes for a bright clean bench top with out clamps and arms in ir way
Great stuff! The air brush clip idea is awesome and I'll be getting some for storing my brushes also. I might have to pick up one of those desk lamps at some point too. I picked up some LED shop lights on sale and mounted a couple to some old desk light arms I had around and they are great, but I could always use some more lights for some of my other work areas. I have some similar paint brushes to those, but they didn't come in that packaging. Nice brushes and I think I got more brushes for less money. Sometimes I think they package things that way to make you think they're special and charge more money. Take care!
I was in the same boat and after getting it I have to say it’s an absolute steal for what you get, super bright, tons of range on the color hue and brightness, and great adjustability Actual hobby game changer… it outcompetes lights 4 times the price imho
So happy you reviewed those brushes! I've been thinking to get them for a month now but hesitated as I was unsure to the qualiy. Your video reviews have been super helpful to me. Thanks for everything you do & please keep it up!!
started back into miniatures after a very long hiatus. Watch your channel and learned a lot of things; had some questions and got prompt responses from you. I appreciate all the advice and help!
I’m glad you found Harbor Freight, so many great deals on everything from tools to consumables- I get all my gloves, sandpaper, needle files etc from there.
Might want to invest in JIS screwdrivers (rather than Philips) if you are going to start building many RC kits - especially Tamiya. Helps to not strip out the screws and offers better engagement than regular Philips. Love your channel!
Great tip on the light just ordered one on prime. After taking 25 years off from modeling and getting back going last month, I have discovered I can’t see now 🤣, thanks Robert appreciate all your knowledge.
Robert, one nice airbrush holder to check out is DSPIAE's. It holds trigger airbrushes pretty well. I have my 2 Mobius, my Grex Genesis, and your swallowtail in it.
Thanks for all the great hints and tips you provide. I just ordered the desk lamp from Amazon USA. I hope it arrives to me here in Japan in one piece. It was twice the price over here, so worth waiting the extra time for shipping.
Congratulations JJ on winning the waterfall spray booth. That chisel kit looks interesting, if I didn't have a couple nice LED lamps for the bench, I would definitely consider that light you showed us. Robert do you ever use a rivet tool with your gudam/gunplay models. I've been looking for one and haven't made up my mind what to get. Can anyone recommend a riveting tool or kit?
I’ve never been so excited to see my name before, I can’t thank you enough Robert. You are amazing.
You are so welcome 👌

I order one of those lights which arrived yesterday. It's perfect! Going to order another for another desk. Cheers! and thanks again for the tip.
Glad to finally see a channel that is about the hobby and not about click bait and adds. Can't wait to see bumblebee in full.

You mentioned the Name Trudeau at 16:50. I live in Canada and I refuse to buy anything with that name on it, let along have it in my house lol.
Bob, I really enjoy your channel. Even though I am a miniature figure painter, I have used many of your tips. Thank you. You are like the neighbor I have always wanted.
Congrats to the winner and thanks Rex for being so generous.
I am retired now, and getting back into my old hobbies! Car modeling. I’m watching to get tips on items to work with . Thank you for the excellent tips and reviews.
You're welcome James, thanks for watching

Thank you for showing us new products to make modeling better…appreciate you. Congrats to the winner…
Exciting to hear about a Brass, finding a good brass metallic is surprisingly tough. Not many get made and even fewer get stocked lol.
Thanks, Just ran to my local Harbor Freight and picked up one of the small storage cases. Using it for all my many airbrush parts. Thanks for all of the reviews that you do.
You're welcome Robert
My wife me those brushes for Christmas, absolutely love them!
I love that bumblebee optimism prime behind you! Super cool !
I actually just bought a lamp very simular to that one for my desk for when I build Gunpla. It's decent for the price.
Congratulations to the winner!!
I have been watching sooo many of Roberts videos my eye are bleeding Metallic blood!!
And I just bought both of the Mobius brushes...
@@twig4590 Cant. I already received and have used them. I did get both from subsequent runs.

Newbie follower. Enjoying your work tremendously. Love the positive attitude. Keep up the good work
Thanks Steve, it's very much appreciated

OMG!!! I love that Optimus Prime Model!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome! Congratulations Jeff!

Congratulations buddy and thank you barbatos rex for all the info on the products
Congratulations Jeff.
Love that light, I need to get me one of those. Decent lights that aren't crazy expensive are hard to come by.
Always love the tips and tools videos
Congrats to the winner and as always great video.

Wish that Mobius was a .3 and .7, personally. .2 and .3 are so close together. It looks great, though. Congrats on the booth, Jeff!

Congratulations Jeff on the winning pick for the paint booth
I'm in for the light and the Gaahleri set. Again, YOU are the man!!!
I have that same light over my painting station. Works fantastic. The base that attaches to the desk could be better well built.
Love the Asia shirt!
One of my all time favorite bands. Bought the debut album the day it was released
Congrats to the winner! Have an awesome day all! Cheers!
Congrats Jeff
Thank you for the desk light suggestion. I've had a trusty lamp for about 25 yrs but I'm curious if this is even better so thank you.
I was in the same boat and after getting it I have to say it’s an absolute steal for what you get, super bright, tons of range on the color hue and brightness, and great adjustability

If you recommend it, it must be good. Light bought!
Congrats to the winner! Great vid again!
I use garden tool holders for my airbrush holders,it's got 2 claws and 3 screw holes
Jeff congratulation on your win!! Robert thanks for the product reviews!!!!!
Congrats Jeff.
I bought that exact driver and bit set about 2 years ago and i use it all the time! Great piece of kit for the price.
Thanks for the video! Keep it up! Really enjoy watching your videos!
Congrats to Jeff. I'll be ordering that set...If I am so lucky.
So happy you reviewed those brushes! I've been thinking to get them for a month now but hesitated as I was unsure to the qualiy. Your video reviews have been super helpful to me. Thanks for everything you do & please keep it up!!

Gotta get the clip for my Swallowtail!
I’m glad you found Harbor Freight, so many great deals on everything from tools to consumables- I get all my gloves, sandpaper, needle files etc from there.
Thanks for showing us the setup and tools
Perfect timing on this one. I almost bought another brush set for a LOT more money but I'll try these first.

Robert, one nice airbrush holder to check out is DSPIAE's. It holds trigger airbrushes pretty well. I have my 2 Mobius, my Grex Genesis, and your swallowtail in it.
I bought that lamp in October and it replaced 3 smaller lamps. Love it!
Thank you very much for covering all aspects of airbrushing. 👍🏼
I love these videos of just testing stuff you find
The desk light looks great. I have put this on my Amazon shopping list.
Harbor Freight also has those clamps in a kind of bucket. I cant remember what it costs, but it wasn't expensive for a whole bunch of them.
have a similar scriber. Had to put a dowel in the center because the chisel would just slip through
The scribe tool is awesome for aircraft
Congratulations to the winner. I'm now currently using a cheap ringlight, and it's quite good. And the scriber i have, that's really good to have
Congrats to the winner
Thanks for all the great hints and tips you provide. I just ordered the desk lamp from Amazon USA. I hope it arrives to me here in Japan in one piece. It was twice the price over here, so worth waiting the extra time for shipping.
Congrats Jeff, that booth looks fun to use.
You've made me much more knowledgeable about paints and painting. Thanks for all you do.
Congrats JJ!
Congrats Jeff!
Another great video! Congrats to Jeff on the giveaway.
Cool video. Handy stuff to have. However, I did not see a link for the scriber set.
Plenty of storage options from Harbor Freight. Get one every other visit there.
Cool rc's, I have a few rc's crawlers and a few drifters , my crawler is the most modified with scale features
I haven't used one but a buddy does. I'll check on which one he uses
@barbatosrex9473 wow. Thank you Robert.
That work light looks awesome, thanks.
I want to get a different paint mask. I have seen that you advertise one. Can’t find viedo
You always find the greatest stuff for us. So helpful.
Thanks Robert. Cool tools for the work bench +
Got that panel liner kit on Temu for less than $10. Had to wait a few weeks but nice tool!
Congrats to Jeff ! Love the goodies, Thanks for sharing.
Congrats jeff!!!
Can you include a link for the paint brush set please?
I’m getting a lot out of these videos! Thank you!
