Silicon only sticks to silicon which is useful if you don't mix enough as it allows you to do a second pour and still have a one piece mould. The issue you would have had with the card is that it wasn't sealed properly so the silicon would have seeped into the card. Tee hot glue is also not an issue so making a mould bog from plastic is simple, just cut the pieces from an ice cream box if you don't want to spend money on acrylic or EPVC, I have also used Lego with a cheap glass cutting board as the base and wood - although this sticks like the card but is more rigid to remove. Great to see the tiles look so good though. And as an extra hint, I did use casting plaster for tiles which used an acrylic additive to add strength after which I tried adding PVA (professional grade) to the water used with the plaster, this worked well but for either small casts - mini bases - or thicker, 5mm+ casting.

That's incredibly helpful, thank you! I've since bought some flexible mould things that you clamp together, so I'm interested to see how they work as mold walls. Will do a video on them soon!

Look forward to it. I am planning on building a Necromunda board and a Carnevale board soon and you have given me some great ideas. I also hate the fact we can't get the thick XPS that all the Canadian, US and Swedes have cause they are cold countries -like we are so warm!@@questsquills

I'm sure we must just have better insulation 😂 it's a shame the Kingspan style stuff doesn't carve or hold together, because we can get a tonne of that!

Also forgot to say, much respect for what you are doing with the schools - are you involved with the Warhammer Alliance (free minis and paints for schools) and not sure if you were aware that Edge Hill University partners with Crooked Dice, the makers of 7TV as part of their creative writing degree so gaming and education is a wider thing. @@questsquills

@anthonywaggett9317 Ooh I wasn't aware of Edgehill, I'll have a look at that. I've done a fair bit with Alliance, I did an unboxing video for schools maybe six months ago, it's such a great scheme.
