You are seriously so awesome. I’m so grateful for your channel! If it wasn’t for you, I would have send the wrong sku to my supplier! Not only that, you’re so thorough with all your videos. Thanks crescent! 🙏🏼
FYI, the rewards cc links don't seem to work anymore. Kudos for this video man! This is super comprehensive and easily explained. I've no doubt you've saved me so much time and money with this one video. Def gonna check out the rest of your stuff :)
Best video I've watched so far, broke down everything detail neatly, so precise..I couldn't help but like and I'm subscribing right now. My confusion has been cleared. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much and love you for sharing Calculator and also explaining about fees. For a starter like me, I thought I bought an item for 0.30 and sell it on Amazon for $5.00, I thought I can make huge profits but after watching your video now I can calculate each product. Love you and whoever god u follow bless ur family.
You're welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful! Finding profitable products to sell takes a lot more effort, research and analysis. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/W5sFpD0RIaA/v-deo.html
Just a comment: I got about 10 of my products returned by customers, my products were made of good quality. I have no idea why they got returned. Thank you for all you do for all of us.
Might as well do fbm & store our own inventory. It's less expensive. Members in my family do it with their own businesses ( not Amazon ). This all looks so complicated just to do.
In most cases, that's not true. If you do FBM, you have to handle all the of the logistics from taking orders, packaging, prep, printing labels, shipping and handling, customer support and returns and refunds. And you have to buy all of the shipping and packing material. With FBA, for a small fee, Amazon takes care of all of it and you don't have to store your inventory at home or at warehouse. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/jK05lTLZ3No/v-deo.html
Thank you for your videos! I have several questions. I’ve been selling for about a year now. #1 is there any way to not be charged a removal fee when an item has to be removed due to customer damage? #2 How can sellers be better protected when Amazon loses or miscounts inventory? I have sent many packages that were triple counted and included a packing slip and they still claim 1-5 units are missing. It doesn’t happen all the time but it makes me super weary to send in large quantities of items, also if they claim items are missing can you get reimbursed for the new placement fee since it’s per unit? #4 do you know of any additional insurance sellers can buy when shipping items in the the FBA warehouse that protects us against “lost or damaged” items?
Thank you for this incredibly insightful video, we have been trying to figure out all the fees so this helps! Do you have any new videos on inventory management? Also, just a thought - you mention how storage fees are higher during Q4 and to properly plan so you don't have excess inventory. However, with our supplier, we realized they shut down for Chinese New Year so we'll probably need more inventory arriving in November/December to make up for that 1-2 month loss during the beginning of the following year. Thoughts on this?
You're welcome! I'm glad you found value in the video. This goes over inventory management: ua-cam.com/video/PjrwZJlCvzc/v-deo.html As for CNY, talk to them to see how busy they are and if they can supply you with what you need before they shut down. This might help: ua-cam.com/video/HCnqkBIi0io/v-deo.html
Why does FBA charge me fees in the individual account when I had to wait 3 weeks for Fba to add my inventory for sale. They charged me 6.55 when I first sent in shipment and now they charging me another 6.55 tomorrow. But since June 9th until now I was unable to sell anything because they took 3'weeks to stock inventory.
@@Bert-lw7pi like I said, it’s hard to say without seeing it. Even if you don’t sell anything you still have to pay storage fees. If you’re not clear on your charges, contact seller support.
Great video--thank you. I'm wondering if you know where those "placement fees" show up on the unified transaction report in the payments dashboard? Meaning what are they labeled under? Being able to isolate those fees for analysis on whether turning that feature on and off would be nice to know for determining if speed is worth the extra LTL fee/shipment. Thanks in advance!
I'm glad you found value in the video! You're not going to find that fee on any reports if you haven't already used it. The fee starts at $0.30/unit. Just do the math yourself and decide if it's worth it or not.
@@CrescentKao Gotcha. Thanks for the response. Let me rephrase. I've been selling on amazon FBA for quite some time. I use the Unified Transaction report to export all of my financial data, monthly. I haven't been able to track down where those transfer fees are located. Do you know how those show up on that statement?
Another question, if I have inventory that is moving consistently, how do they track which inventory is new vs long term storage if all of the product labels are the same? I just want to make sure they aren’t charging fees that are unnecessary since I know they like to do that
They don't physically track each individual unit. If you sent in 10 units and 9 didn't sell for 365 days and you send in 10 more units, you still have 9 that are 365 days old and will get charged long term storage on those 9.
Hi there! I am new in the seller space and wondering if I can get more info on some FBA elements: for example Have you heard of FBA Opportunities tab in Seller Central? Have you seen it?
Hi Crescent, thank you always for your great videos. I have a question about shipping into Amazon. I have an old package for a product, and a new packaging that is an inch bigger in dimension (small size). Amazon still has a couple hundred of my old smaller packaging. How do I send in the new packaging without causing problems? Thank you for your time!!!
Hello, you're welcome! I'm glad you're finding value in the content. Just send in the new units, as long as it doesn't change the tier your product falls under, it won't matter. If you don't want to mix the two, then you'll have to do a removal order to get rid of the old stock first.
Dear Crescent! Could you please explain how to switch to the FBM to be integrated with 3 PL companies? I’m going to do so and I am afraid to do it wrong. Thank you 😊
So if I sent my inventory to one warehouse I have to pay a fee for this? And if I choose to split my inventory to more than 1 warehouse, my manufactured will charge me more for the shipping and I must to choose the best option?
Hello. Yes, as I explained in the video, turning on the Inventory Placement Option has a per unit fee. You don’t get to choose to split the shipment or not, Amazons system makes that choice for you depending on what your shipping in and how many. This goes over it: ua-cam.com/video/S_oNiDvgxQs/v-deo.htmlsi=ngbPMgb0Dlc2NFLp
Awesome video! One question when I try to test the FBA calculator for some reason the fulfillment fees are super high compared to the size/weight of the product I'm adding. Is that tool really accurate?
Glad you found the video helpful. Yes, the calculator is 100% accurate. Either you entered the wrong size/weight/details, or the fees you expected to pay is wrong.
Can you explain fees for the individual account why is Amazon charging me 6.55 twice a month. I thought there were no hidden fees in the individual account.
@@CrescentKao I know about that link. So basically a fee is waived off by Amazon because u helped direct traffic to their site (Amazon). So would an example be putting the Brand Referral program code into ur UA-cam channel/video? You should make a detailed vid about that. Than there is also a tax form u need to fill???
How does Amazon take away the Seller account fee? Is it deducted from the total balance of your sellers account? It only deducted from my credit card the first month, then the second month I see it deducted from my total balance on sellers account.
Any money you owe is always deduced from your revenue first. If your revenue doesn't cover the balance owed, Amazon will debit the balance from your credit card.
What can i sell on US amazon FBA, if my legal entity type is individual, can i start doing wholesale? or is this entity type only for reseling used items? im not registered as sole trader.
The business type has nothing to do with what you can or can’t sell on Amazon. You can sell whatever you want as long as it conforms to Amazons guidelines, Amazon allows you sell it, and you’re legally allowed to sell it. I suggest watching this: ua-cam.com/video/weQAaY_ezoI/v-deo.html
Why wouldn't they? Netflix charges you as soon as you sign up. Your cell phone carrier charges you as soon as you sign up. If you don't want to get charged, use the Individual Plan.
It’s not 1/3 in most cases. It’s over 50%. They steal 50% of your revenue. If your COG is say $3 and you sell for $19.99 via FBA, your GP is barely $6. Not many products can have a COG of $3 with a selling price of $19.99. There are 2 groups making bank in this e-comm model, Amazon and China based sellers.
The fees go up significantly if your product is no longer in the Small Standard tier. If you stay within small standard, the profit margin is around 1/3 like I stated in the video.
