I'm impressed how accessible the engine is on the 349 -- major kudos to having it seem like its up higher and not down behind the front engine access panel like some older IP's 😍
I love the design of this interior, could easily be a live aboard boat. Sailboats always seem to have so much better use of space compared to compact motorboats (even non-planing ones).
wood is beautiful but to maintain it is expensive. Every other year the external teak has to be stripped and restrained. It’s getting harder to find teak workers. When the boat is in FL or anywhere in the south the job needs to be done during winter (summer is too hot for this type of work). I’m about ready to roll up my sleeves and dive into the job myself for my 485, see how far I get 😂. Yes, IPY is smart to get rid of the wood. It’s just a huge hassle to maintain it
Love the fact that there is no bright work to maintain !! She has lovely lines on her too !!
Another beautiful rig.
I like that self tacker without the boom. Saves a lot of space.
Very much!
Beautiful 349!!! Ty for sharing -- always enjoy watching the changes and selections owners make. ⚓💙

My soon to be dream boat❤ can’t wait to see the sailing video. Plenty of 439 sailing but no 349 sailing!!
Just stunning.
Beautiful boat. My favourite size IP
absolutely gorgeous - thank you for doing an excellent job introducing the 349, enjoyed it

That is a beautiful vessel, and even a bad day at sea is it better than a good day on land?
right?!!!😂❤
Each Island Packet boat is a little special. Some other boats in the class don't have character.
Is it possible to heave-to with the self tacking jib?
Where is the tack point for the spinnaker?
Please publish the sailing video.
That Iverson Dodger is fantastic. Has Iverson's opened an East Coast office or do you bring them out from PNW to do the work?
Give them a call and see what they say
Please let them know how you found out about them.
Can the engine be lifted out if you need to change it completely at some point?
Yes the companionway is large enough for the engine to be removed. With proper maintenance I have seen Yanmar engines with 15,000 hours
@@IslandPacketYachts Thanks for your answer 👍
What brand refrigerator/freezer is that?
It’s a Vitrofrigo 12v and 120v
wood is overatted and boring
good thing it's not your boat then, isn't it ...
Go clean your bedroom kid. Get off the internet.
