09:54 big clue as to why the set marked with the lowest price ($27.71) is selling the least…..look at the delivery cost! Another $21.80 for delivery whereas the other two listings are free delivery!
Great video as always! Appreciate the thorough analysis on these sets. And thanks for introducing me to Brick Bucks Ignite! I am getting to the end of my free trial. But planning to continue to be a member. The content there is amazing!
That megalodon listing with the least sales but lowest price is kinda misleading, its 27.71 but with 21.8 shipping. So roughly 50$. Definitely a good set, was looking more at grave digger but could never get that on sale. Walmart had the megalodon on clearance at 4$ which was such a steal.
The Monster Jam sets totally slipped past me. I can’t believe how strong the demand is for them on Amazon right now, even at those elevated prices! Moving from eBay to Amazon has been the best decision I’ve made for my LEGO investing business. I’m excited to see your success on Amazon as well!
I think Amazon buyers more than any others disregard MSRP and simply ask "does this set at a glance appear to be worth the asking price?" so small sets benefit, since they could easily pass for $15 sets or $35 sets. That small price point would bog down an ebay business but with FBA it's no problem! Cheers to us :)
With the confirmation that the C-3PO figure in the new buildable set is the same as the ucs landspeeder I think that’s the final nail in the coffin for the landspeeder ucs to be an decent investment what are your thoughts?
Great video DG! hahaha on the noodle shop. I remember you liked that set during some of our podcasts...and I was negative on it, soooo I guess point for you! 🤣
I really enjoy your content, but to be honest, I am not sure it is helpful to discuss Amazon prices in these kind of videos. For whatever reason, Amazon prices are way higher than on any other platform, and I would think that only a very small percentage of your audience actually sells on Amazon. Many people could be mislead into thinking that they can actually achieve those ROIs. Megalodon for 35USD makes no sense whatsoever, it does not sell even when listed for 15USD on Bricklink in the US. It seems to me that currently many LEGO resellers are entering the Amazon space. Who knows, maybe this will lead to a collapse of the prices to reasonable levels.
You have a fair point. It's a known fact that Amazon > Ebay > Bricklink prices and that's why I show all three in my videos. Megalodon sold 800+ times last month on Amazon and on Bricklink it sold...9 times. They're very different marketplaces that appeal to different groups of buyers. You could be right about too many sellers beginning to sell on Amazon and that sell pressure lowering prices in the future. That'd be an interesting video topic. Cheers!
Remember leaving a comment about the chess set. That it would be a banger. Again I’m right but for the wrong side of the pacific, I’m French and here it’s not going anywhere Edit : same goes for the noodle shop I loved that thing but it’s going nowhere here. I’ll let you know because it looks like I’ve got good flair but only for the US
Could you ship me a pallet of chess sets across the Atlantic? I remember you predicting that, and right you were! For now though, the new Traditional Chess set is going to keep the price down on 40174.
Great video! If you can miss it, just goes to show it's a tricky business picking a winner😂 Megalodon selling below RRP in UK on Ebay, looks like 1.5x RRP on Amazon (100 sold in last month). UK very different market to US.🤔
Just like the Galaxy Explorer here in the UK. A set that was discounted to 50% in the US, yet here in the UK I don’t remember it being on sale ever. This was a £90 set, already up to £120 ish on eBay. Despite all the US UA-camrs I (we) watch, I chose to buy a few.
Different markets indeed! I'm unfamiliar with the retailer mix in Europe, but Walmart discounting Galaxy explorer to half off will have a permanent impact to its aftermarket price.
@@DGBricksYT I remember you guys talking about it. I had everything crossed we’d get a good discount here in Q4 but it just never came. We never had that discount code for it on the Lego website unlike the Medieval Blacksmith and a few other sets. It was a Smyths Toys exclusive here which is a big stand alone toy shop we have nation wide which pretty much took over after Toys R Us went down. I’m confident if a set never goes on sale, it means it’s selling well enough that the retailer never has to reduce it to move units and it went out of stock pretty quickly in January
Hey DG, love the vids and the look backs...super cool and interesting. But wanted to ask what you thought about the Target Red Circle deals going on now. If you can get Eldorado (10320), SW Mando v Tie (75348), Cody Helmet (75350), UCS Landspeeder (75341) at 36% (30% + 5% red card +plus 1% Rakutan)...would you think that is worth a buy? None of those sets were on my buy list but wondering if it would be worth it in your opinion.
Thanks so much guys! I really Value the insight. I did go for the cody helmet (6 total) and a couple eldorados. I always worry about not enough demand on ending sets of an ending theme hence the hesitation with Cody. Now if I could get the same amount of Rex's sub $35 so I can sell them as pairs!
So much to learn from our mistakes no laughing at you we’re laughing with you

Great content as always. Thanks
I picked up a couple of mobile cranes from Target immediately after watching your videos. Target had them for around $22 each at that time.

Kmarts here in Australia have been flooded with Creator Noodle Shops recently. Great parts pack but would never invest in that one.
I picked up as chess sets when they went on sale. Have already sold out.
Nicely done, I missed that chess set when it went on sale from S@H 😢

Are the buildable character sets the new helmets? I think UCS will always have some appeal but that landspeeder is dog water.

Score one for the Republic!
Considering the mobile crane in this video, do you think the recently released excavator and larger mobile crane will be good investments?
Perhaps. We'll look at those in a video soon.
Great job i love your Channel...last year i missed the Thor's Hammer...😢😢
Thanks, so did I!

I sell on Amazon

@@DGBricksYT could you please make a video on your experience selling on these platforms Pro vs cons ? Thank you
@@OneMaverick7 I haven't sold on Bricklink so I can't say much about that experience.
