To be entirely fair, I'd thought it would be a Vlog of brickworld chicago, but it was surprisingly fun and laid back video regardless. You guys are a fun team to make these kinds of videos.
Hi there! I wanted to clarify the pricing for this set! (I'm one of the owners of Bricks & Minifigs Grand Rapids). We base our pricing on the average US listings, not the average worldwide listings. Worldwide listings don't take international shipping, conversion rates, and different economies into consideration. The average US price on Bricklink for this set is $92.72, and we priced at $94.99-so right on target for Bricklink average! And, you don't have to pay shipping when you pick this up in store, so it's cheaper than average for US Bricklink purchases. We also guarantee every part for a certified set, which means that if something is missing, we pay the cost to find it and get it to you. Hope that helps explain things, we highly recommend comparing US prices to US prices instead of US prices to worldwide prices. :)
@@BricksMinifigsGrandRapids I appreciate your response and understand that you are comparing to US prices. That said last six months average *sold* is $70, with the highest priced actual sale going at $85 in the US. When you only compare to current listing average, you get a skewed price. There are three copies in the US listed at $60-73 but the average is much higher because someone has a used copy priced at $130. Just like the new average listed is averaged at $525, but the minimum and maximum prices are $150 and $1000 respectively. Even taking shipping cost into account, I can have the same set at my house for under $80. Not trying to throw shade, just absolutely don't understand why people are spending far more than they need to. :)
Certainly, if bottom line cheapest pricing is what you are looking for, online is the way to go usually. If you come to our store, we have a total team of 13 employees that would absolutely love to talk LEGO with you and help you with anything you are looking for. You can browse our selection in the air conditioning all day, enjoy our sitting area, put your builds on display if you are local, and come to our kids and AFOL events, many of which are free! (I’m sure you can see I’m pointing out the overhead on a 3,400 sq ft store with employees). We also sponsor lots of local charities and school fundraisers, and we are a small family owned business. Yes, our prices won’t always be the cheapest (sometimes they are, just depends on the situation), but we offer a lot more than buying from an anonymous bricklink store. If being part of a local store that loves the people it serves is your jam, come on by any time. We also have a rewards program that automatically gives you 6% back on your purchases (not probably found on Bricklink) and we offer regular sales, including on our certified sets. ☺️
Was able to meet you at bwgr last year and was hoping to see you on Saturday at bwc but I must've just missed you a few times! Had a great time regardless and I see we both got the hookup from mayday and orbital. Look forward to seeing you at future brickworld events
Target has failed me too many times on the deals. Once fell for a clearance sticker that actually wasn’t on sale. Suckers. “Car haul! Car haul! Car haul!” lol gotta keep that.
@@Firebird-Extra I swing in there every time I go to Costco and always strike out lol. Once they add the Lego store to Woodland I'm going to go broke every time I go up that way 😅
Okay, Target just made a liar out of me 😅. Went in there tonight and they had a lot of clearance tags out. Unfortunately the sets were already cleared out.
One of you just mentioned you were in LAN and you probably shouldn't be there, does being a LAN member mean you can't make LEGO purchases through anyone other than a LEGO store or LEGO online? Genuinely curious :)
No way, he went to his local bricks and minifigs to hunt for rare Lego sets
I love your videos and congrats on the move
First time for everything. Had to visit my local Bricks and Minifigs for Rare and Retired LEGO!
Lmao bricks and
Mini is so trash
Love the cars in the car haul
Car haul with cars. Can't be beat imo.
Yo! I’m subed to all of u! As well as emma!
When you go Lego shopping with a bro, you are 90% probable to make financial decisions that wouldn't have happened otherwise
This is very true
"WeLl AtLEasT OuR SchOoOoLs..."
Damn that hurts
Only 1 comment on a 150k UA-camr??
Super jealous! Looks like a great time!
I can hear Harri shuddering when you went by all the cloths and capes that weren't printed 💀
Harri will get into customs someday, mark my words.
Great vlog man, you and Harry are so funny to together 😂👍 Cars Duplo was a good pick up 👌

Glad you enjoyed it! I decided not to vlog at brickworld just because of how busy it was. Maybe next time!
@@Firebird-Extra Hey no worries, this was fun too.
BAM pricing stuff at 50% over Bricklink average is WILD! Why does anyone shop there?
They are usually pretty good with stuff at my BAM.

DUPLO is SO underrated too!
Damn... Harri is STILL a purist after CAC? lol
I don't understand him.
He just needs to build his own house so he has room for more LEGO! It's that easy!
W video, didn't know u had a 2nd channel
Yooo, glad you had better luck at target than I did.
The Quest for the Wallet! Don't worry Harri I lose my wallet all the time haha!
He kept saying "No I dont normally lose my wallet" but it definitely happened at least 3 times over the past week.
Loving the Duplo love!
I was really surprised how much old Lego sets clone army customs were selling. I for some reason thought they only had customs.
They have a decent selection of stuff!

Same. It’s almost always a disappointment.

As in Australian Holly on film?
We have department stores in Australia
On sale 🤷♂️
Am I on target?
Yes, but she lives in Florida now, so she was talking about Target in the US. Sorry! Hope you all get some good sales as well.
