Thanks Morrie I have recently purchased a PSR E473 I haven't recorded any audio files yet, but I plan too. I didn't know you could do that, I thought you had to first store them in the internal 10 slots as you mentioned then transfer them to a usb stick. Looks like I made the right choice in owning a PSR E473 I can't wait to give it a try. It would be perfect to use the keyboard to sketch songs out to develop later instead of roughly writing them down which is time consuming. Thanks again Morrie you're a star! 😀👍

The PRO of using the 10 internal user songs are: you can record 6 tracks step by step (5 melody tracks and 1 style or song or groove = 6 tracks) per user song. Save one or all user songs to USB thumb drive and reload it later. User songs used small space on the drive (fast reload time). AUDIO used 44,100 stereo samples = 176,400 bytes per second. Another point you can modify your user songs with your DAW on MAC or PC and you can replace/or record any individual track of 6 on the keyboard if the result isn't what you would accept 😃

I appreciate an answer from you soon. I wanted to buy a music keyboard like this but I repeat I need to export to a Pendrive midi file created before inside the Yamaha piano to a pen drive. What do you recommend for flash drive to get to work with a Yamaha psr-ew425 I bought cheap one a vansuny 129gb. I formated it but wen I save anything not doing anything live like wat you just did I'm talking about like a single recording on the user 6 tracks I save it to thumb drive but wen I plug thumb drive into my alesis command x mesh special edition electronic drum module the thumb drive processes but wen I open up file or try to load the recording I did not there so I don't know if I'm saving it wrong wen thumb drive is in keyboard? So wat you do to you save a simple 6-track user recording to thumb drive in wat file these different places options can save to while in that mode so I don't no wat to do if can answer and thanks 🤙
I have 10 songs I’ve made already in the user section. Would I have to walk through your steps and instead of playing the song I can go to the user section and hit play for an existing song?
Hi Morrie. I recorded my playing onto a USB. All went fine, and I was able to play it back. However, when I remove the thumb drive and then stick it back in, I cannot find my AUDIO01 wav song. I press the Song button, dial to #41, and nothing is there. Am I missing a step? It does show up on my PC , and I've tried it with two different thumb drives. How do I get to play it again through my keyboard?
I finally found the problem! I was pressing the Song button to try to locate the song. That's wrong. All I needed to do was press the Audio button lightly, then Play. I'm soooo happy I found the solution.
Hi, I've recorded many tracks on the usb. However, the levels are low at times but I fix them in WAV Editor. Where in the functions I can increase output to USB. Say, not fully to 128 but say 100. Just curious. Thanks, M.

Mukisa, transferring one of your recorded songs out to a thumb drive does NOT delete the song in your internal memory of your keyboard, where you can store 10 songs.
absolutely, all you have to do is load in oriental styles. If you'll post your mail here in these comments I'll email you several dozen oriental styles I've collected ...to get you started.

Can I play the user songs (6track) from the usb drive to an audio device? Or only audio file tracks?

Supose someone ataches another keyboard or sound device on the auxiliar port. Will this be recorded as a wave file normaly in the thumb drive?
And you can rename these to song names after storing them on a PC.

There are times when I’ve had to try three or four times to get a sing to load off a thumb drive.. my advise is keep trying several times
