@@thepluggy1 100%. I know drummers that would scoff at that, and think that any old stick will do. But it's so important to have something comfortable.
Right down to the size and shape of the tip even not to mention nylon tip or wood tip!!! You can spend a few months trying all the different sizes and lengths. Been playing since highschool 30yrs and still haven't tried every kind yet but I'm having fun trying😊😊😊
They're good, but they're big and heavy so just be prepared for it. I have used them for several years now and the biggest downside is any other stick I've tried feels like I'm playing with pencils.
The first time i tried acid i was super sure that in 10,000 Days he was drawing constellations with the geometry of his drumming, i don't know it made alot more sense at the moment.
A few years ago I ordered a pair just because I wanted to have some Sticks of my Favorite Drummer, without really using them. But when I tried them on my practice pad, I knew that I had to switch.. they are so damn good! 🥁 I've tried some other, cheaper Models but the DC Sticks always won the battle.
Depends on how and what you play. I gave up from 5A since I couldn't find the one that last long enough and to be affordable at the same time. Now I'm using carbon 5B
@yongyea4147 it doesn't matter how hard he hits because sticks are free. Vic Firth lasts a couple of days. ProMark lasts a couple of weeks. There's no comparison and no reason to trust you.
@@the6ig6adwolf Well I'll back them up and say the sticks hold up very well. I play hard, and ordered some more sticks about a month ago. Still on the first pair. Pro mark sticks are very durable, but I haven't broken a cymbal since I stopped using them, so I'd rather stay the fuck away from their metal destroying sticks lol.
Only once broke a vic firth, and that was due to user error, I'd suggest ironing out your technique

A lot of you in the comments don't know who this guy is.... Let me break it down in short form. HE IS EITHER THE BEST DRUMMER IN THE WORLD, OR TIED WITH THE OTHER TWO. You decide.
Love his signature sticks been using them for over 15 years! 👍🏻
Same here. A game changer.
interesting to hear how the shape and balance of the stick impacts the playing 🤔 cool that it's eco-friendly too
They work. I love them.
The effect that drumsticks have cannot be underestimated.
If you are a drummer it's so important to find sticks that are right for "you" it's one of the most important things for playing drums actually

I've been playing with those for a year. A game changer. I can't even play with regular sticks now. Thanks Danny Carey
My favorite drum stick. Hits heavy, moves light, best of both worlds. It fucking rocks
I've been using them since they came out! Awesome sticks!
Love you Danny! "Good in 2 ways"
lists three benefits lmao
Let me tell you a couple of three things
Three of a perfect pair
My next stick purchase. Got to give them a try!

Love them sticks. They can just fly around but the grove brings it back to base after the chaos.
Using these sticks - amazing sensation!
I still have a pair of those!!

i know exactly what you're talking about.
source: i heard fear inoculum while on shrooms
I've had a few pairs of these over the years, Dave Weckls evolution ended up feeling better for me, my hands are on the smaller side, after all.
Great sticks. Perfect balance. Wish I could get them in a lighter stick

Bought a couple of pairs some years ago- had to get some for my brother- who’s name is Danny Carey!
I could use some new sticks, looks like a cool contender! Perfectly balanced as all things should be.
Big. I'll never play with any other stick after a year playing with them.
Hey Dan, I've been using the Danny signature sticks for 13 years and I can easily recommend them. Cheers!
Wow these are solid endorsements, thanks!
is that a buchla marimba lumina in the background?
Would these be available at most music shops?
@SalamanderBreath-z4d Sweet, I forget sometimes Amazon really got everything too. 💪
eBay has them too
I've found them in 2 music stores in my area, and I'm in south africa, where Tool has never toured, so chances are you'll find them somewhere
Walked into my local guitar center and bought mine right off the shelf
Size doesn't matter - what matters is how you use them
finally, eco-friendly danny 🙌🏻
❤
wonder how long a 5A would last

Ergo frjendly?
eco friendly wood veneers
I got a pair and they’re a lot heavier than I thought they would be, almost like marching sticks. His stamina is on a whole other level.
Vic Firth break too easily.
Not these. Trust me I hit hard. Danny Carey hits way harder.

If you break these you have a technique issue, not a stick issue
