2-1/2 tons?!! 😮
Yeah, Paiste are the best!!
Amount of musicianship in BEAT is out of this world.
Danny, what national treasure!🤟🏽
Is that the drum set Carl Palmer played at California jam 1974?
Love you Boss
Buy It!!!
Those are awesome. I have drum patches that are super nifty - gradually morphing from kicks to snares to hats, all having multiple parameters that can be controled by the positions, they sound very warp style - but are also super expressive. I also have some patches that use the trigger as an exciter rather than a midi trigger for an electro-acoustic type drum sound generation also lots of cool sounds and super expressive. Would love to share them with you!
A lot of you in the comments don't know who this guy is.... Let me break it down in short form. HE IS EITHER THE BEST DRUMMER IN THE WORLD, OR TIED WITH THE OTHER TWO. You decide.
Cool to see that Danny is a true Kansas fan. For an accomplished musician, such as himself, to show that is almost brave at this point.
He does not look like a man in his 60s. What a machine!
is that a buchla marimba lumina in the background?
He's slowly turning into Clint Eastwood
finally, eco-friendly danny 🙌🏻
❤
Using these sticks - amazing sensation!
Ergo frjendly?
Nice thelemic society sigils in those hybrid Es. Showing the world how Spellcasting and demonic worship took him to this super elite level of rock drumming. How much blood was let and how many innocent lives were sacrificed for your 'art' buddy? We shall find out soon enough. Get all the tours in while you can Danny...theres a reckoning coming. Good luck surviving it.
Great sticks. Perfect balance. Wish I could get them in a lighter stick
I’m stoked he likes Killing Joke. Dudes a legend of my generation
Mr Carey, we all waiting the dance of eternity 😊
I still have a pair of those!!
Bought a couple of pairs some years ago- had to get some for my brother- who’s name is Danny Carey!
His playing sounds like he looks - he just flows along. I like watching drummers like this - Max Roach had a similar style.
A few years ago I ordered a pair just because I wanted to have some Sticks of my Favorite Drummer, without really using them. But when I tried them on my practice pad, I knew that I had to switch.. they are so damn good! 🥁 I've tried some other, cheaper Models but the DC Sticks always won the battle.
The first time i tried acid i was super sure that in 10,000 Days he was drawing constellations with the geometry of his drumming, i don't know it made alot more sense at the moment.
i know exactly what you're talking about. source: i heard fear inoculum while on shrooms
Channeling TANK from distant memory 😎
Love them sticks. They can just fly around but the grove brings it back to base after the chaos.
Ok that’s a cool but the Buddy Ritch kit in the back is probably yawning lol.
That center mounted hi hat is a bit of mind fuck.
I've had a few pairs of these over the years, Dave Weckls evolution ended up feeling better for me, my hands are on the smaller side, after all.
I switched to Danny's sticks for my group @plotbandtx for a bigger sound but the more comfortable feel. I'm able to use a back fulcrum and get a lot of volume with less effort
Love you Danny! "Good in 2 ways" lists three benefits lmao
Let me tell you a couple of three things
Three of a perfect pair
My favorite drum stick. Hits heavy, moves light, best of both worlds. It fucking rocks
I got a pair and they’re a lot heavier than I thought they would be, almost like marching sticks. His stamina is on a whole other level.
My next stick purchase. Got to give them a try!
They're good, but they're big and heavy so just be prepared for it. I have used them for several years now and the biggest downside is any other stick I've tried feels like I'm playing with pencils.
My first thought was "I didn't know Dana Carvey was a Thelemite weirdo" but then I re-read the title
eco friendly wood veneers
Size doesn't matter - what matters is how you use them
I've been using them since they came out! Awesome sticks!
I've been playing with those for a year. A game changer. I can't even play with regular sticks now. Thanks Danny Carey
Vic Firth break too easily.
Not these. Trust me I hit hard. Danny Carey hits way harder.
@yongyea4147 it doesn't matter how hard he hits because sticks are free. Vic Firth lasts a couple of days. ProMark lasts a couple of weeks. There's no comparison and no reason to trust you.
@@the6ig6adwolf Well I'll back them up and say the sticks hold up very well. I play hard, and ordered some more sticks about a month ago. Still on the first pair. Pro mark sticks are very durable, but I haven't broken a cymbal since I stopped using them, so I'd rather stay the fuck away from their metal destroying sticks lol.
If you break these you have a technique issue, not a stick issue
Only once broke a vic firth, and that was due to user error, I'd suggest ironing out your technique
I could use some new sticks, looks like a cool contender! Perfectly balanced as all things should be.
Big. I'll never play with any other stick after a year playing with them.
Hey Dan, I've been using the Danny signature sticks for 13 years and I can easily recommend them. Cheers!
Wow these are solid endorsements, thanks!
interesting to hear how the shape and balance of the stick impacts the playing 🤔 cool that it's eco-friendly too
They work. I love them.
The effect that drumsticks have cannot be underestimated.
If you are a drummer it's so important to find sticks that are right for "you" it's one of the most important things for playing drums actually
@@thepluggy1 100%. I know drummers that would scoff at that, and think that any old stick will do. But it's so important to have something comfortable.
Right down to the size and shape of the tip even not to mention nylon tip or wood tip!!! You can spend a few months trying all the different sizes and lengths. Been playing since highschool 30yrs and still haven't tried every kind yet but I'm having fun trying😊😊😊
Would these be available at most music shops?
@SalamanderBreath-z4d Sweet, I forget sometimes Amazon really got everything too. 💪
eBay has them too
I've found them in 2 music stores in my area, and I'm in south africa, where Tool has never toured, so chances are you'll find them somewhere
Walked into my local guitar center and bought mine right off the shelf
Love his signature sticks been using them for over 15 years! 👍🏻
Same here. A game changer.
wonder how long a 5A would last
Depends on how and what you play. I gave up from 5A since I couldn't find the one that last long enough and to be affordable at the same time. Now I'm using carbon 5B
Ilike your funny words, magick man
Miss those days at the Loft.
Danny ain't the only one who laughs and says trying to play Tank. I've never done that ... .... .... ROFL
