Co-relates with what Rinpoche said said Death meditation. If you contemplate on the transitory/temporary nature of being, your innate [positive priorities start to manifest. What you treasure, seek and desire also changes, from the mundane [gross-mind] to the spiritual [subtle -mind related] We should not try to control , possess or dominate with negative or ego driven motivations as we cannot truly control, possess or dominate anything in a temporary existence. Holding on will only entrap us further in our ignorance, and make our attachments stronger. A moment for the person mentioned at the starting. Thank you, as always for your teachings.
+Layal Hassan : Glad that Rinpoche's teaching benefited you. Mind sharing with how it has helped you? Have you checked out H.E Tsem Rinpoche's blog? You can go here : www.tsemrinpoche.com

Have you established a relationship with the elementals that create the body? I agree it is only here to give us a chance to manifest on earth and spiritualize matter. We are in a mutual evolution and this must be respected and honored.
thank you very much for this simple but yet very powerful teaching Rinpoche. For me by meditating about this subject alone can generate compassion and makes us less selfish day by day. We will be less and less bitter at the same time more forgiving by realising we don't own this body of ours and is only a vehicle for us to make this life even more meaningful by of course benefitting others. The world alone will be a much better place if people apply to this teaching alone. Thank you again Rinpoche. _/|\_
Thank you Justin for teaching us. This video reminds us to be a selfless and generous person all the time. We know our body this life are not own by ourselves and it is impermanence. We can see this body as a vehicle to transport us to our next rebirth.
yeaa exactly i just find it weird.. like we own our bodies for a temporary period of time just like how we own homes. I like to think our body as like a home which is temporary but we still own it. If we didnt own it, it’ll be easy for others to abuse us. Like what?- I don’t own my body so I should simply just let some stranger abuse my body because that body is borrowed then why should I even care? this guy makes no sense as his argument sounds very absurd when applied practically so i don’t understand tbh Also it’s very contradicting as he continues to address the body as “your body” it basically is also giving ownership to our body?
@@morningglory.213 Feels like religions are trying to make you have nothing and be happy, just like Claus Schwab. And you are not allowed to think that you might be one of those who have created this world. For some reason not any God need any creator, but you all the sudden do. This is super weird.
Rinpoche some humble correction. The world worships certain ppl bc they are easily led to admire the famous. Oftentimes it's the simple merchant noone even knows who may be the most compassionate and enlightened. To say we should not care about those whom the world doesn't recognize is also wrongful thinking. Fame and money does not always equate to good karma, in fact...it can be a damning hindrance which binds a person to samsara.
I think, Rinpoche's point is not that for the people who have nothing or not much should not be so particular about their bodies. The body is a vessel for us to engage in dharma practice, it is important we keep it healthy else, how do we practice? But not to overindulge the body or spend all our times pampering the vessel and not spend anytime developing the mind. Yes Rinpoche also have said wealth can sometimes can be the results of bad karma, as that wealth helps the person to create more negative karma.
what this guy says makes sense and i agree with him. We should not because of our own selfish desires, do things to pleasure our bodies but I disagree with the point he say : find refuge in yourself, find refuge in your truth, find refuge in your contemplation. All things he say has one common factor : "YOUR". The word your is still referring to one's ownself and relying on one's effort to get certain things done, it is still selfish. The only way is Jesus Christ . Find refuge in Jesus Christ, Find refuge in Jesus Christ, and contemplate upon things of Christ. This is the REAL solution.
In Christianity we view the body not as a tool but as having an eternal dimension. Matter, the physical body is is an expression of God being and power in the moment. We can honor God in the body while we are alive. You honor God in the body by realizing your eternality in the momentary.
What do you mean eternal? Coz most Buddhist view the boy like a hotel or motel room, when we pass away we will take on a new vessel/new room. Hence we don't deck up the hotel / motel room as much. We focus more on developing the mind that travels with from lifetime till lifetime.
Wai Meng Wan Eternal is not a long time. Eternal is not horizontal but vertical. Eternality is in the here and now. The body is sacred it should not be discarded as only a vehicle . You honor God in your body when you see that the whole body is not only yours but God. God incarnate in people in the present moment. By God I do not mean a being but being itself. God is not an item in reality like an object.
Christopher Cedre if you meditate upon body you see that there is nothing sacred. It is simply made up of bones, skin, mucus, blood etc. Dhamma practice is seeing the reality as it is, and not imposing a dogma.
@@wanwaimeng Im sorry, I didnt mean to offend anyone. Please forgive me. I had a different idea of a spiritual teacher. I didnt think about how the world is subjective. Great Video Wai Meng Wan!!
The venerable master's words continue to touch thousands across the globe even after he has left his earthly body. Gratitude & Prostrations.

No offense, but you dont look like you take care of your own vehicle.
We don't value how a spiritual teacher looks on the outside, as much as what he can teach us and the dharma he imparts to us.
