at first i didnt like this new enemy because the video i saw covering it removed the invisibility effect to showcase its movement pattern. all i could think was that the design was too flat for the game despite lethal company's absurdity but then i saw it how its actually meant to look and i wouldnt change a damn thing, perfect. practically speaking, its perfect for the threat this enemy holds to be immediately emphasized the second you notice him, those massive scissors. really triggers the fight or flight when you feel like its one move away from chopping you in half. on a first reaction, anything else about it would be a distraction, you just need to know this motherfucker has something sharp and dangerous and only gave you the courtesy of finding out once you got within like 3 feet of it. from a design angle, i'm much more accepting of the barber's appearance now that i know it can go invisible. i mean nothing about it really screams camophlage, but the simplicity of its appearance i think works well with the fact its invisible 90% of the time. like some kinda higher dimensional entity, or goofy ass specter. love tbis game
The barber is my favorite entity actually. Besides the thumper and tulip snakes. I just love how it sounds when it’s like 2 rooms away and new players walk toward it like “what’s that?”

I love it that the barber’s unique sound effects just trick players who are new to the update, and make them walk toward the sounds from 2 rooms away like “what’s that?” (YT removed my reply? 🤔😂)
Honestly thought it was something similar to the Butler and that it was a taller, slimmer humanoid filled with more aggressive wasps and it would fly randomly in various locations while snipping randomly. I assumed wasps given the weird trumpet like buzzing noise it was making and the increase in pitch coincided with the wings fluttering faster to propel it forward.
I'll watch this video in a couple days, because I think that's fair to you, but I haven't played the new version yet because I want to see it with friends. In the future, is there a way that you can do thumbnails that do not show a picture of the enemy if the update has only just released? Knowing the name is more than I want, but at least a thumbnail that doesn't show the enemy lets it still be much more of a surprise. I don't know, I guess I can also stay off my recommended page a couple days after an update in the future. It's just something I'd appreciate if you'd at least think about.

It's just a tough spot when there's an update and new content for a game - everyone starts uploading videos as soon as possible. If you don't include it in the thumbnail it won't do well, I'm sure you'll notice quite a few other videos where he's in the thumbnail (in this case the video is literally about the Barber, so not including him would hurt). But I would never want to make a thumbnail with a 'spoiler' like ruining the end of a game or movie or something. That being said, I TOTALLY understand your point and wanting the new enemies to be a surprise. It's just difficult not to include things like that on UA-cam when it comes to the thumbnail.
