Hey, Buckin! I just wanted to make a comment on this video and let you know how much you’ve inspired me. I’ve watched you on UA-cam for the past year and a half or so. The kindness that you share is very rare and very needed in the world that we live in today. Everything on social media nowadays is so corrupt that when I get on UA-cam and see someone like you spreading kindness and showing what true passion looks like for what you do, it just really inspires me. The past three or four months I have had the opportunity to obtain some new power saws (including a Mac 10-10s) and started cutting lots more firewood and swinging more axes because of you. I’ve always cut firewood, since I was young, but I’m now just realizing how enjoyable, and how much of a passion I have for it as well. I just wanna say thank you for what you are doing in this community. It is very much needed. Keep doing what you’re doing brother and always do what you love.🪓

The kilties are more for protecting your foot from the pressure points of the laces than they are about saving the tongue I believe. Also everyone I know laces the hooks two at a time. Saves a bunch of time when your tops are 14-16”s 👍🏼
hi buckin, why am i here?. because i have friends here who radiate love and kindness and have experienced a sense of togetherness that i have never had before. and you are there my friend... btw, great boots! if you want to get rid of your old pair, you have my address, hahaha.... what are you doing on the shoe seam? is that wax? see you sunday in the lifestream, love ya brother
I like the way you tie your boots. But that thinner, softer leather that is protected by the false tongue is called the vamp. And you are supposed to fold that vamp in a specific way after you do it a few times it will build a memory and automatically fold for you. If you don’t fold it, you’ll get a hole in it and it’ll also be uncomfortable on your shin and it looks like your toebox has a safety toe in it and that’s why it’s pushed up the way it is your other boots have no safety toe. Also, the construction on your boot is called a stacked leather, stitch down construction. It is the most durable and re-buildable style of boot. You should check out the Knicks builder pro boots. They have a rough out leather lower that is extremely abrasion Resistant.
Logger since 64, retired a few years ago. The loose insert flap is to protect from stick jill-pokes, with bottom fingers to act as a kick-off so sticks don't hang up in the laces. I would underlace the lowers to keep laces undercover... and not wearing out... but personal preference I guess. Yeah. always laced the loops through the eyes at the top as you did with crossed over ends poked thru. Standard logger practice in BC forever, but I would never do the extra tie deal. You're just creating another loop to get hung up on knot. I see a lot of guys, loggers and fire crew guys, from the states on about their fancy boot ties. All of which are some kind of shoe-tie knot at the top. The old standard BC logger is much safer and easier and never need to tying laces all day. In fact I've often wondered why the Workers compo don't teach the tie style in all work boot users industries to reduce tripping hazards. Even hockey players could learn it for that matter. Works anywhere the top eye grommets are big enough.
You should sell those handles on your site I live so far away from shops that sell things like that...and I know if you carried them they would be great On the boots ..very nice kicks as we say here...I like my carolina loggers...in my budget...worn them to many fires too..
Im from europe and the government in my country is currently banning wood stoves and burning firewood in general. Dont even know what to say anymore but your videos are awesome to watch right now.🙏

Your a very inspiring human!!
Love ya brother glad you do what you do!??
Keep up with the great videos!🧡🧡🧡💪👌🌲🌲🌲
The kilties are more for protecting your foot from the pressure points of the laces than they are about saving the tongue I believe. Also everyone I know laces the hooks two at a time. Saves a bunch of time when your tops are 14-16”s 👍🏼
,MOST DEFINITELY A PROTECTER OF THINGS
hi buckin, why am i here?. because i have friends here who radiate love and kindness and have experienced a sense of togetherness that i have never had before. and you are there my friend...

BOX OPENING!.... WOW AESOME BOOTS!.... BE KIND.

They have a rough out leather lower that is extremely abrasion
Resistant.
Those Nickbergs are good looking boots...
Good boots are needed in the woodyard!

Hey Buckin, I had an idea I think you'd like. I was thinking how fun it would be if next time you're dropping a big tree, you aimed it at something to be smashed!
