Not many sites that have these ingredients: kindness, honesty, hard work ethics, old school ways and positivity, along with True life happenings shared, personal likes, dislikes, and reviews on what works as opposed to what doesn't, the positive vibes are contagious and appreciated, Buckin you are down to earth and spreading Love, truth, and hope, these are just a few of the reasons I continue to come back to the Buckin community, life is hard enough without all the negative websites on media these days, your channel is a much needed break from all that Mr. SMITH, JUST my opinion, can't thank you enough for being the positive inspiration you are . I also appreciate your knowledge and the sharing of such, thanks a million friend. 👍🙏🤝

I follow a rock climbing discipline called bouldering. I am capable of doing it, but not other physical sports, because of certain things. But the community at my local bouldering gym has been so good to me over the last few years. That’s why I keep coming back, good people and learning to push beyond boundaries

Not checked in on your channel in some time but found myself considering investing in some decent boots and figured Buckin’ Billy Ray might have a word or two to say on the subject… checking out various relevant old videos of yours… Had forgotten how much I love your energy - the train of consciousness… Only a few minutes into the video and you’ve already put a smile of my face. Thank you.

Hey, Buckin! I just wanted to make a comment on this video and let you know how much you’ve inspired me. I’ve watched you on UA-cam for the past year and a half or so. The kindness that you share is very rare and very needed in the world that we live in today. Everything on social media nowadays is so corrupt that when I get on UA-cam and see someone like you spreading kindness and showing what true passion looks like for what you do, it just really inspires me. The past three or four months I have had the opportunity to obtain some new power saws (including a Mac 10-10s) and started cutting lots more firewood and swinging more axes because of you. I’ve always cut firewood, since I was young, but I’m now just realizing how enjoyable, and how much of a passion I have for it as well. I just wanna say thank you for what you are doing in this community. It is very much needed. Keep doing what you’re doing brother and always do what you love.🪓

I’ll cut my own tire tread soles and use Barge glue. Thanks for sharing

I'd like to ask, do you wear a different pair if boots daily to give yesterday's pair to air and dry out? In order words, two boot sets would alternate, if three it would be every third day. Of course there's diminishing returns with more boot sets and costs. Rebuilding is the way to go. Cycle the new ones into the lineup. Are you required to wear safety toes? The rebuilt Nick's looks like it has a higher toe profile, safety toe?

Such an infectious good mood, LOVE it! I don’t want to rain on your parade, but I got a couple things to say about Nicks. I had a couple special requests for a pair of boots, things that I know they can indeed do, and they said no, scram. Kinda disappointed to see them go out of their way to do something totally new for them, that they have never done before for BBR. Presumably to help promote themselves, but when some average joe comes along and asked for a few tweaks, they say no. And there is a PNW boot maker on par with Nicks that has a nail bottom construction boot as apart of their standard catalog, so….. but glad you are stoked your pair and to each his own.

I like the way you tie your boots. But that thinner, softer leather that is protected by the false tongue is called the vamp. And you are supposed to fold that vamp in a specific way after you do it a few times it will build a memory and automatically fold for you. If you don’t fold it, you’ll get a hole in it and it’ll also be uncomfortable on your shin and it looks like your toebox has a safety toe in it and that’s why it’s pushed up the way it is your other boots have no safety toe. Also, the construction on your boot is called a stacked leather, stitch down construction. It is the most durable and re-buildable style of boot. You should check out the Knicks builder pro boots. They have a rough out leather lower that is extremely abrasion
    Resistant.

Logger since 64, retired a few years ago. The loose insert flap is to protect from stick jill-pokes, with bottom fingers to act as a kick-off so sticks don't hang up in the laces. I would underlace the lowers to keep laces undercover... and not wearing out... but personal preference I guess. Yeah. always laced the loops through the eyes at the top as you did with crossed over ends poked thru. Standard logger practice in BC forever, but I would never do the extra tie deal. You're just creating another loop to get hung up on knot.
I see a lot of guys, loggers and fire crew guys, from the states on about their fancy boot ties. All of which are some kind of shoe-tie knot at the top. The old standard BC logger is much safer and easier and never need to tying laces all day. In fact I've often wondered why the Workers compo don't teach the tie style in all work boot users industries to reduce tripping hazards. Even hockey players could learn it for that matter. Works anywhere the top eye grommets are big enough.

You should sell those handles on your site
I live so far away from shops that sell things like that...and I know if you carried them they would be great
On the boots ..very nice kicks as we say here...I like my carolina loggers...in my budget...worn them to many fires too..

Hey Buckin, I had an idea I think you'd like. I was thinking how fun it would be if next time you're dropping a big tree, you aimed it at something to be smashed! Something like a rain barrel that would explode or maybe a post to see how far it gets driven into the ground haha I know I'd like to see it!! Love your vids and your message! Thanks and take care!

a friend of mine wants to know who you spoke to at Nicks
he has a 20+yo pair of their boots that WERE originally nail down but in rebuilding came back stitched.
He agrees with you & prefers the nailed boot.
