Ill keep watching and hope I am not disappointed by another bad US interviewer.
A search of "Pointfest" videos on UA-cam uploaded within the last month shows 14 of the 17 most viewed videos to have Band-Maid in the title. The other 3 are Bad Omens videos. Someone should maybe take note of that.
Me too. It's always fun watching the rest of the band when Kanami is about to say something in public. They often tense up and everyone tends to look at her because NO ONE knows what Kanami is going to say, anything could come out. 😆
Akane loving Maximum the Hormone, that make so much sense. She plays the drums like Nao. I had no idea Saiki was into Muse. Misa loving Smashing Pumpkins is awesome. They also had a female bassist who was kick ass.
Saiki being into Muse gave me a chuckle; a Maid is into Muse? I also had no idea. Just a name coincidence though; in my case I'm into Throwing Muses, quite a different band... 😁
The thing with BAND-MAID is that these new fans are getting at these festivals is not really BAND-MAID. You need to see them live in a smaller setting, even though they are on the verge of finally being allowed to play bigger venues (by allowed, I mean that they have really started gathering the fan base needed to play much bigger places and venues). See BAND-MAID live is like nothing else you have seen or heard or experienced in the past. First it is the maid outfits, which is the perfect contradiction to the music that they play. Then there is the Omajinai Time (Magic Spell Time) which is this nearly indescribable "event" that takes place in the middle of the concert. The band stops what they are doing (playing music) and they all take a much needed break while Miku interacts with the audience and gets them even more pumped up for the second and third acts of the concert. When I say she interacts with the audience , I don't mean the lame banter that most bands shove down the throat of there fans. Miku really gets up there and makes that moment something special. During the 2022 US tour the WHOLE band participated in Omajinai Time, Misa (Bassist) added her "Opening Ceremony" as she cracked open a beer in front of the mic to give it a little ASMR effect, and of course the fans go nuts. Then we have Saiki (Lead Singer) and Kanami (Lead Guitarist) doing their "Japanese Word or Phrase of the Day". Which has led to some hilarious moments. Finally there is Akane (Drummer) doing a banana peel toss out into the audience. See Akane eats nearly a bunch bananas while on stage to help keep her energy level up. The Banana peel toss started some early on in the 2022 US Tour and originally management did not approve but they did it anyway and it became such a hit during the tour. Akane would come out eating a banana and then she would sign the peel with a Sharpie and toss it out in the crowd. Recently in Tennessee they played a venue that had bowling lanes right next to where the stage was, so during Omajinai Time Misa, Saiki, Akane and Kanami all left the stage and each threw a ball down the lanes as Miku stood on stage and pumped up the crowd. This, this is the real BAND-MAID. They are extremely talented, dedicated, funny, adventurous, exciting, masterful and just the most unique thing in the rock world. Don't get me wrong BAND-MAID at any venue large or small is worth the ticket price. But in order to really understand why fans love them so much you have to dive head first into the music without hesitation and then you have to see them live in a small venue and experience every minute of Omajinai Time and the 20+ songs that they play. Donny and the people reading this that have never seen BAND-MAID live, I really urge you to get out there and witness the most insanely fun band on the planet.
I’ve seen them in that setting at the S. F. and L. A. shows from last years tour, plus Houston this year, and Sacramento upcoming in August, so I know exactly what you’re talking about. Plus I saw them at Aftershock festival last year, so I know the contrast. We are privileged to see such a talented band in sub 1,000 capacity venues, and I have some awesome pictures and memories from those shows. They deserve to be rock legends playing sold out arenas, but I cherish the small venue gigs that they do. I’m also seeing BlackPink in August at Dodger’s stadium, which holds 57,000 people - that’s the type of crowd that Band-Maid deserve!
“You’re kind of a new band” he says to them during their 10th year anniversary tour. I find it much easier to watch if I just skip the parts where the interviewer is talking. 😂
Well. I would say that we ask them the same questions. But at least there are no dumb questions. The good thing is that they invited all five. Now it is enough for the radio station to broadcast their songs. Good translator.
this intwerview was much better, the Host was actually trying to ask questions while the girls kind of followed even before translating. STILL, as a MAIDIAC, I wish somebody would interview the girls while having knowledge of their past and create substance for an Interview that is suited for a Band that deserves way more recognition.
@@Greish-esquire I agree, Michelle can interview them easily with SMILES 😁During Saiki & Mincho's Q&A time in Nashville, Band Maid ended up reacting and getting surprised by her because Michelle gave back all her praises to Band Maid, and in Japanese! Even from Michelle's video in New Jersey, at the ending picture with Misa II/Sound Tech, she seems like she was having fun talking with Michelle. You can't fake SMILES and Rock and Roll signs. Michelle is full of surprises, I think she would do a good job if she interviewed Band Maid.
Scrolling through the 105.7 The Point UA-cam home page, I see 1 video they have uploaded that has more views than this interview. Most have a fraction of the 8k+ views (so far) this has brought. I wonder if The Point will catch on.
I appreciate the interview, but the interviewer really needs to make the questions more concise. They all understand at least some English, and Miku, Kanami, and to an extent Saiki are pretty good at it, but when the questions start to ramble, you're going to lose them.
The only currently active band with a World Tour (2022-2023) & new album released that they mentioned as one of the influences is *Muse* . Muse is arguably the best live band & rock band for the last 20 years! Won multiple awards for their album, live & even contributed their songs for movies! They were also one of the opening acts for London Olympic. They have inspired their contemporaries like Dream Theater (thru songs like Stockholm Syndrome) & they are also music idols for *The Warning* , who have just collaborated with Band-maid! *Band-Maid* is a great young band with so much potential. Hopefully they can emulate the success of bands from the past!

they're my japanese beatles; melodic, charismatic, eclectic, and innovative.
I also find myself thinking of the Beatles when I watch them. The same humor, charm, and charisma-not to mention the astonishing musical abilities.
I spent 3 and a 1/2 years in Japan. Translation on point. 1057 it be
Best Band!!. Thank you for spread the word.
Michelle ! 😉
@@Greish-esquire I agree with Michelle!
Incrível, apoio de Portugal 🇵🇹
💕❤💖LOVE 🎀BAND-MAID🎀 😍🥰😊
Theyre such sweethearts
Good interview, I wish they had a more professional interviewer at Sonic Temple.
Amazing band !
AA hearing akane say maximum the hormone made me so happy, I love their stuff!!
♥ these girls!
It might be impossible to find a more diverse collection of influences for these ladies, but whatever it was, it worked.
Scrolling through the 105.7 The Point UA-cam home page, I see 1 video they have uploaded that has more views than this interview. Most have a fraction of the 8k+ views (so far) this has brought. I wonder if The Point will catch on.
Short and concise, straight to the point. 👍
Band Maid restored my faith in rock! Kanami!
The absolute brilliance and dedication of these insanely talented women should bring tears to the eyes of every music lover.
Yeahy, Kuruppo Interview!
New band? They've been around 10 years.
New to the mainstream world
New to the USA. We are still waiting for Lovebites to arrive, and Wagakki Band to return!
They look amazing as always.
I could listen to Kanami-chan read a phone book.
I love their speaking voices.
Thank you so much po~
I can't with this girl .... she is so freaking adorable. Gotta love the pigeon po
Miku and kaname are so darn adorable cute and beautiful !
Thanks for having them ❤❤❤
Best rock band on earth.
Many many memories with you, oooooooooooooooo!
I appreciate the interview, but the interviewer really needs to make the questions more concise. They all understand at least some English, and Miku, Kanami, and to an extent Saiki are pretty good at it, but when the questions start to ramble, you're going to lose them.
It was a good day to relax.
