for nekomata players it is VERY important that you place nekomata after a Support, for her quick assist core passive (+60% dmg)
Wait i have a question, since im running a f2p team consisting
Nekomiya
Anby
Nicole
What order should i do with?
Nekomiya, Anby and Nicole? Or
Nekomiya, Nicole and lastly Anby??
@@IForgor2769 the first team will work, you want Nicole's EX skill leading into Nekomiya
if youre using the starlight engine which essentially has the same passive as nekos but on a weapon, the same logic applies too
@@Ixs4i does it boost nekomiya's performance?
@@IForgor2769 If you're talking about Chain Attack phase when the enemy is stunned, put Nicole last and swap to Nekomata to activate her Core skill and Starlight Engine effect.
I kinda wish defense units could also proc quick switches because if you could quick assist into soldier 11 after Ben does a chain or skill then it would be a pretty good team
You can animation cancel his EX special follow up. Just swap as soon as the animation starts and he’ll still do it.
Seth will proc Quick assist with the character before him
Well… just wait for Seth
@@thetruestar6348 yeah but like I think it’s silly they put that mechanic in another defense unit and don’t just put it as a mechanic for all defense units
Why the focus on Soldier 11 here?
The first hit getting fire supression is nice, but it's not like her quick assist wirks like her skill/chain attack etc. where she gets guaranteed fire supression hits?
0:00 TLDR
1:14 Support Assist
2:38 EODGamer's Nicole position
3:57 General team position
5:08 Rotations
This channel quickly become my go to ZZZ guide
I like his guide. No waifu/husbando bias, just pure meta discussion which is what I want to find in a guide
I like this channel got no BS. Just directly to the topic within seconds.
Great timing! I was chatting with someone about this very topic. Didn't realize this wasn't intuitive to a majority of players.
Thanks!
I think it's interesting since I was running Nicole in the first slot and Ellen at the end. I use the Nicole/Lycaon combo for the small guys and bring Ellen out when the big guys come out
There's going to be an upcoming Defense unit that will trigger a Quick Assist, but for the PREVIOUS unit. It's going to make "on-fielding" and Defensive Assists more interesting.

How the fuck would nintendo know about zzz updates?
@@ethanwebster3764it’s a meme, not literal.
@@ethanwebster3764you gotta be kidding me
this aged well right?
I recently saw a video comparing character speed and contrary to popular belief Ellen is slower than Lycaon.
I always run Ellen first slot, soukaku 3rd slot.
Every other team i keep daze, support, DPS order
For mono ice the best way positioning is Soukaku, Ellen then Lycaon. Soukaku quick assist ellen with non ex skill for atk buff+10% ice res> ellen does charged atk for 3 stacks > immediately switch to lycaon (preferably before switching to try to do assist follow up)
This is the same thing as Ellen, Lycaon, Soukaku
The order matters but the position doesn't. DPS only needs to be to the right of Soukaku in order to quick assist off of her. This applies if the DPS is on the left most slot and Soukaku is in the right.
@@taxenofhearts no it isnt the same because you start of with ellen. if you start with soukaku, ellen immediatly gets get -10% ice res and the atk boost when she build ups stacks
2:35 why not just ellen lycaon soukaku, the quick assist just wraps around and you want to open with ellen to dash in and get stacks to start
Yeah this. Seems like most of the comments and the creator of the video don't know this
I like making my support the last chain attack because then you get a bonus quick assist at the end
Eod stands for
E-No
O-Time
D-Wasted
Koleda, Lucy, Piper has been my team. Koleda gets a quick stun, chain into Lucy who shoots the boars and quick assist Piper right into the enemy with Koleda on deck to parry. Or on Bosses with two chains: go from Koleda to Piper, then into bangboo which becomes Lucy, quick assist back to Piper and start shredding.
For my Mono Shock team, I use Grace, Rina and Anton in that order. Grace procs the shock as fast as possible then swap into Rina do the Skill and give the extra Pen buff on the DPS which is Anton who keeps re-triggering Shock with his Core skill for a butt load of damage.
For me the best and comfiest playstyle is use (stun quickdodging) -> (support for the buff) -> (attack hittting the stuned enemy) BUT once they release more anomaly characther I think a playstyle with quickcounters will be the second best way to play.
You’re my favorite ZZZ content creator, thanks for your insights and guides :)
So basically Dps > Stun > Support but for me I do rather do this Support > Dps > Stun
because I like seeing Nicole's Stare in the intro LMAO I'm fking downbad
Awesome guide, makes a lot of sense and the gap-closing tactic with Nicole is definitely something I'm gonna use!
I'm glad that my habit of putting Ellen in Slot 1 is the right approach!
Very helpful video. Thank you
Thank you, this guide really helps as I'm still confused about whether I need to DPS or stun first.
pure gas, pure guide, no yapping about how the author is the best at fighting games or bs
lol the yapping about being good at fighting games sent me
I only care about who’s intro animation I see and build around that lol.
You can also quick assist backwards by pressing C instead of spacebar
Super helpful to learn. Didn't realize it for so long.
Also reminder when using soukaku, if you can do a full 3 chain always stun the enemy with soukaku or ellen
Anton and Ben really the expectation.
Ben simply to slow, his kit revolves around countering hit.
While anton needs his bro to fist
very useful
In the Lycaon/Nicole/Ellen team, can you sub in Rina for Nicole if you have her, or is it better to use Nicole? I was going to level Nicole, but Rina seems to do a similar job to Nicole and I've already leveled her a bit.
I think you can use Rina especially if you need her for Electric shields.
But Nicole is extremely flexible because of her defense shred. She also doesn’t care about her bonus passive for most teams which adds to her flexibility. On top of that, she’s the only ether agent on release.
Generally speaking, Nicole would be better for a F2P team
so good. was wondering why Ben would always get tagged in by Lucy
Oh wow. This makes me consider putting Anby in the first slot over Anton due to how fast she is.
Thx for the guide!
Half the time my Anby ends up outdamaging my Ellen even though she is only half as build haha. I think it might be anomaly damage procs, but Anby is just really good too I feel like.
i think if you use nekomata, you should still place neko on right after nicole, because neko must quick assist to get dmg buff
Mono fire with ben and lucy is what im using and im loving it
I’ve been using soldier with piper and Lucy, but might go back to Ben. I don’t really know what I’m doing with piper and it seems to interrupt the stuff I’m trying to do with soldier.
I tried piper too its also good just to trigger disorder i usually switch to piper before the enemy is stunned so that i can use soldier for the damage during that phase
@@rodelcorton8815 thanks for the tip. I just got the steel cushion weapon from standard banner. Do you think it’s better for soldier than the A rank starlight?
I have an issue where I essentially never swap to my bangboo cause it will force me onto my stun when I want to swap back to Ellen. Other than that I usually aim to stun, swap into Soukaku, then swap to Ellen, then do my burst. It does feel kinda tough to take full advantage of Soukaku sometimes as the prompt to swap comes almost immediately.
yeah make sense bro thanks 👍👍
Very oddly specific request for a menuing, hotkey shortcuts, fast travel, and WHERE to buy items and spend stamina guide. It took me awhile to get down which location to fast travel to, and at what interknot levels each thing unlocked like disc drive domains
my goat fr
very helpful!
Rina) anby) anton its a very good position for electric team
What positioning do you recommend for an anomaly centered team?
Support->dps->anomaly. For example soldier 11, Lucy and piper. The dps is who will trigger the anomaly so you want to go from them into piper to trigger disorder then swap into Lucy to ex skill into soldier 11 to start dps. The character building anomaly should be followed by the character triggering disorder, because the disorder dmg is based on the first element applied not piper. Dmg booster -> element applicator -> disorder trigger.
very informative
Do you recommend doing dps chain into support then quick switching again into dps or support chain for the buff into dps chain?
the current team i'm building is lucy + grace + ben. i saw somewhere that lucy should always start first to activate her buff before switching to dps (grace), plus she also activates quickswap to grace. and i like ben and his blocks, so i put him after grace, especially on those moments where dodging is difficult and would probably better to use ben for blocks (also satisfying to use him lol). any tips or things i could tweak?
i honestly want to use corin or billy lol they're quite fun to play but i have to use my current line up and build my other team when i have more resources to spend. i do wish to get ellen cause she immediately looks fun to use.
stun -> support buff -> dps
is it possible to use 2 supports with ellen? i have rina and soukaku but only anby as a stun char in the account, but i need anby for my main team which is S11, anby and lucy
It's possible. That's what I'm doing at the moment since I lack Lycaon; Ellen-Nicole-Soukaku for Defense 10.
Yes, buff doesn't expire after switching like wuwa
@@jc_mosh Yeah, but from what i understand Rina s buff lasts like 5-6 secs so its kinda hard to manage with 2 supports, unless there is a way to increase her buff duration
@@lordkaizer44 You could apply buffs using swap cancel or chains
Newie question: My supports always seem strapped for energy. Should I be giving them more field time, or just focus on dps/stuns in the meantime?
disk drives
Give them energy recharge w-engines and energy recharge disk drives
Thank you for posting this. I feel as though most CC's aren't giving rotations enough attention.
ty for the guide
I saw you're using Nekomata + Grace + Piper for your team in Shiyu defense, is this team is also good for main team ? Especially for Rally mission or challenge?.
If it's good then iam going to all in for them, currently iam using Anby + Grace + Nicole (i just got nekomata yesterday, until recently the only attacker i have is Anton)
Edit: th reason i ask because iam interested to build Disorder team
❤
I put Ellen in the first slot so I can watch her intro
Why don't you use ellen after nicole so she can come out through quick help with an accelerated charged attack? why do you use lycaone after nicole? in your case, Lycaon uses quick help from Nicole, is this really more profitable?
could you please explain?
Yo EOD, when do you stream?
Why sometimes when I stun an enemy I get to do 2 rotations and sometimes 3?
So the only reason you should start with the attacker instead of a stun character is because of movement speed?
The slot position doesn't really matter you can choose the next agent to take action using L1 or R1 on 🎮. Don't know the mapping on keyboard. During chain attack it literally shows which button to press for the next agent.
it matters for supports that can trigger quick assist since you cannot choose who to swap to
I have a team of Billy/Piper/Nicole in that order, but would any of you guys know when I would need to switch in or switch out of a character when needed? cause I really want to try to unstand the combos for this is game
My biggest problem is, i don't know how to handle the anomaly char like Grace
Do i hold her on field until her shock procs or schould i do it with assist ?
If I don't have lycaon, but want to use Nicole who do I use? Can I use Nicole Soukaku Ellen?
on the bigger bosses with the longer chain potential if your stun character gets the stun is it better to stop the chain after stun -> support -> dps or is it optimal to do the full chain into bangboo and switch back to dps? or does it basically not matter / is team specific?
Stunner/DPS/Support
For bigger bosses I usually do is to chip the daze bar and the one to trigger the chain attack should be the DPS
DPS=>Stunner=>Support=>bangboo=> DPS
Hope it helps
@@deusaugma this is bad for mono ice team. for mono ice you want to start chain with soukaku always
I do 1. Dps, 2. Stun, 3. Support, cuz my thought process is that i will mostly chip enemies with my dps (before any big dmg combo) but i want to parry with my stun character since they inflict the most daze
please tell me the rotation for S11/LUCY/PIPER AND GRACE/ANTON/RINA
This is why i prefer to play on controller, you can actually choose whwther you want to switch to the next or previous agent.
how did you get to Ellen at 7:25 without cycling through Soukaku? or was the switch so fast that it didn't put Soukaku on the field?
Well i think he is playing on PC or PS5 Cause on PC you can press C to switch to Previous Characters and not have to go in order and also on PS5 can do it too
if you dont want to switch to the next character but the one after, you can click an alternate key to switch to that character. The default key for this on keyboard is "c"
Oh wow I didn’t know that. Thanks
Will you ever make a video about which standard 5 star w-engine is worth buying from the shop?
Can you switch backwards on mobile?
How do i backwards switch on mobile
So Anby nicole billy for f2p?
Great guide, although personally i thought the whole process of the party order was very intuitive and easy to learn, don't think a 10 minute guide is very needed but i might be wrong
What determines which character follows from a bangboo swap?
It's always the 3rd character to do a counter, think about starting the chain with lycaon, then Ellen and if soukaku is the last one we'll the bangboo will appear as the option to go before her
I'm gonna be honest, I think the reasoning for using assist as gap closers is super weak.
It should be the character that has the best quick assist effect.
You can make use of the good quick assist effect and then switch to your "slow" character and he's right next to the enemy where you want him to be too.
Sorry to say this , not all player got Ellen - hope you post some F2P friendly stuff included in your content. Nevertheless good content 😊
Don't you watch the video?
The important one to look is the character role and skill, not the char itself
TLDR the most common formation you should use is 1. Attacker 2. Stunner 3. Support
i put lucy at first
"tldr if no support its ok"
i may be poor but i get things right
