Alexandra O'Neil shares her name with Marisha's character in Taliesin's Cthulu One Shot. That character in that One Shot looked different though. But I don't think the name is a coincedence
Charlotte is very protective over Auggie, almost a maternal instinct... Did Charlotte lose a son long ago and is surrogating Auggie for the lost child? Or could there be a familial bond? Arlo will be the character I'll keep my eye on the most, Laura portrays this weird character so well! I want to know more! what happened to her arm?!
*fake posh accent* Well, actually... you are not supposed to wear a hat indoors. It's very bad manners. I know it's part of the outfit, but even in the victorian age, where men wore top hats, they would never have worn them indoors. *adjusts glasses from tip of nose*
It’s true, in Victorian England. But maybe not in Newfaire or wherever this fictional place is? Maybe you’re supposed to keep your hat on all the time!
I have a theory that Arlo's hand has something to do with her first encounter of Bleed. A relative? Her mother's passing but also not and turning into an angry spirit? No mention of a father so far. Maybe something to do with this Eddie? Was it said that Howard was Arlo's professor? Maybe that's what Howard's gilt is about is tied to Arlo and this Eddie person? Knowing Laura we'll probably get some great story beats or small lines of information of backstory.
This was a great entry episode for this new show and system, can't wait to see who else runs a game. Who else plays and what other stories they're going to tell?
arlo’s the weird little girl representation i’ve been waiting for 🙏🏼🙏🏼 (but really i’m so curious about her! she reminds me of theo crain from haunting of hill house though that may exclusively be because of the glove)
It was such a good episode, very much enjoy having a game with a completely different vibe! This first episode took me a while to get through, but mostly because of life reasons on my end... I very much want to play this or a similar ttrpg soon! Also you eye shadow is on point for this episode!
I can definitely feel the Blades In The Dark influence in this game. In my head canon the Blades universe, with it's somewhat chaotic spirit world and out of town wastelands, is where the Candela universe ends up if the various factions trying to understand the bleed end up failing to control it. (Disclaimer: Most of my knowledge of BITD lore comes from the Oxventure series, not actually sure how much of that is wider BITD canon!)
I feel kind of weird saying this, because it isn't something I usually notice, but Darling your eye make up is ON POINT! I'm very happy I stumbled upon your chanel because adulting sucks and good recaps are desperatly needed to keep up with all things CR.
Okay, finished the episode not too long ago and my theories of realtionships being Arlo and Howard share their first case together or at least the case where Arlo's hand got a bleed and he blames himself for what happened to her. Then we have Charlotte and Auggie. I think Charlotte is Aggie's mother, given how protective she is of him to have a cot always ready for the boy. Especially if he wandered late at night and she was out and she couldn't help herself. Then with Gertrude is perhaps a realtive of Charlotte's and is kept at arms length after whatever happened in her first case which is why she left Auggie at the orphanage doorstep.
Matt was billed as the GM from the beginning, and it will be a different GM after the next two eps. It thought Taliesin was going to have a greater role in this too and not just do an intro for it, was hoping for something mechanical kinda like Ivan in Undeadwood 😕
The cast had Auggie as the audiences substitute character is a good choice for this new system and new story.
I love how taken in Ashley gets in these games, then gets mad when they finish
I said it once and I'll say it again. I'm living for Ashley's accent.
Lubo's rock'n it today. Love how the neckline peekaboos the tat.
Slightly trippy though, I thought she'd lost an arm at one point!

Oh that's neat, I didn't know that!

Can I just say that Robbie looks good in *any* hat he wears? I am jealous. I can only wear a fedora.

Ngl Auggie gives me Pete from the unsleeping city vibes and I love it
I love to think that outergods just give powers to mortal cause there so board, like Netflix hasn’t been made yet they need something to watch

finally caught up enough with the CR shenannigans to watch your recaps/theories immediatly.

Your content is engaging and fun because of you! I’m here for all of it 😊 I’m so happy you’re doing what’s right for you 💜

Gotta love luna time when I get to remember what the heck happened in Critical role episodes😂 also, I love your outfit and makeup my dear!🥰🌈
I wonder how long it will take for Charlotte standing that guard (who knows her name, face, and workplace) up will come back to bite them in the ass.

Awesome choice of outfit Luna!
Excellent recap as always
love your breakdowns! Thanks for making this more bitesize and manageable.

I liked this episode. Happy to know that table top isn’t all about high magicK! 😂😢😅
As soon as I saw that old war vet, I Knew he was going to die.

5:00 I completely agree with this
Hmmm will do a breakdown of Dimension 20 and Worlds Beyond Number
Anyone else notice Matt using a fungal plot device, as he is in a different game?
Your outfit looks great
I was about to say that!
Somehow the show gives off a vibe similar to Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within
Maybe I should watch the full episode before I watch the recap... Nah!
When I heard Talisen would be the "lightkeeper" I thought that meant he would be the GM. I was honestly disappointed when I saw Matt in the GM chair.

beep boop
How is magik with a K different from magic?
It isn’t, I just find it funny how authors always try and differentiate it with different spellings
@@Luboffin gotcha, I wasn't sure if there was something I was missing or an old cr joke
Well obviously, magick is old magic. (There's an old CR joke for you.)
@Luboffin cute top!!
