Wow thank you so much for giving this lengthy song of ours a chance! I guess we also owe your Patrons a huge thank you for requesting this song. Keep up these awesome reaction/song analysis videos and thank you again! :)
My god, I can actually hear the bass and it's sooooooo warm and buttery! Thank you for that! Great work you guys, and kudos to whoever did the mixing for turning the bass up! This was awesome!
It was an absolute pleaser to experience Avaitions hard work and the passion of creativity, musicianship, and pushing your music forward was a blast to react to! AWWWRIGHT!!
So glad you enjoyed the video Geebz! It was awesome to hear your take on the song and that you singled out the fact that we must've been REALLY stoked to release this tune when we did. I can tell you that we REALLY were that stoked and still are! 🤩
God-tier reaction video. Thank you so much for the compliments to my pipes and my fellow shredders in Aviations. We appreciate you listening and analyzing this monster. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!
This is where UA-cam is a blessing instead of a curse. So many people are hearing this via reactions channels. It's how I first heard it about a year ago. For you to release it from Patreon will help it be heard even more. 🙂
Always a pleasant surprise the songs that come through here. Never expected aviations to make the list. Keep in mind "dizziness explained" for your next song by them 🙌
Wow.... just wow..... i'm crying here with how amazing an experience that song and reaction was. Thanks for creating this Aviations, you've made a new fan out of me. And thanks for sharing and reacting Geebz. So much appreciation!
It’s cool seeing so many people discover this group on your channel. This is one of my all-time favorite songs. Talk about a journey! They’re a pretty underrated band IMO. Thanks for sharing their music Geebz!
First off, Good morning Geebzs & to all! This is my very first listen to the band Aviations and I really really love their potent blend of beautiful melody with the piano piece alongside the intricate, powerful, & completely outstanding musicianship. What a great song. Beautiful voice also! I'm checking out their discography now. What a cool surprise for today! 💜🤘🎶
As opened minded as i think i am, i still get stuck in ruts. and every once in a while i’ll hear something and go “ Wow!” This is one of those. thanks Geebz
Wow glad i checked this video out, never heard of this band before even though im a progressive metal fan. Sounds like a love child between the contortionist and arch echo and its amazing. Thanks Geebz!
100%! Don't know Arch Echo, admittedly, but The Contortionist is a top 5 band for me and the parallels are definitely there. Kinda sounds like if they mixed the Intrinsic sound with Clairvoyant. Really sold on this band after this one song.
Man talk about an early present!!! Didn't think you were doing anymore vids for the rest of 2021 much less one of my favorite songs! Glad you liked!! 🤘🤘🤘 Thanks to MetalBirb for highlighting this over a year ago where I first discovered it, thanks to whoever recommended this to Birb, and thank you Aviations for blowing my mind. 🤘🤘
For those of us that were raised on Prog (Genesis, Floyd, King Crimson, DT, Flower Kings, Fates Warning... etc.) - This band is such a breath of fresh air! This is one of those songs that you go out and upgrade your headphones for.
your channel showed up randomly which makes me very happy. i absorb music like a heart and love it like a robotic sponge and this video really let me connect with someone that appreciates things musically as much as i can. OUTLIERS. it’s pretty it’s brutal it’s a feeling. i don’t have places to use my words for this feeling but i’m glad i said what i said.
With the start i thought it was gonna be almost like a meditation track then turned into a 80's ballad about holding on, then goes math rock, then full Djent mode and then a 90's heroic movie score. It's a journey like a pink floyd song. 16:35. That's what i said lol.
Surprisingly enjoyable and relaxing, very intricate in places, supremely well played and sung, will have to look them up further in the near future, big love bro 🤘
My God!! What a beautiful composition, damn right, buddy!! Love that sort of music! Inspiration for the music of my own band too! That phenomenal combination of gorgeous ambience and melodic pieces with heavy riffs thrown in. Absolutely love it! I’ve been playing drums for 26 years, and would love to develop and have a further comprehension of progressive drumming! Thanks, Geebz! Really needed that tonight! Love the Forrest Gump impersonation btw!😊👍🏽
As always, awesome reaction Geebz, and many thanks to you for introducing me to a new band! However regarding the song itself, to me it felt the entire time like they were just showing off their (admittedly awesome) musicianship, but it didn't work as a track/song for me I guess I don't have the capacity to fully appreciate it like you said..
So glad you finally did this song! I've been waiting ever since you started your channel for this one. One of the best songs to come out of the 21st century in my humble opinion.
Absolutely brilliant composition! What bothers me about most crossover metal bands is that the transitions between sections usually feel forced or are poorly executed. This group is masterful at utilizing contrast (if everything is heavy, none of it is) and isn't afraid to show genuine passion and craftsmanship. Superb. I'm usually a fan of more extreme metal, but this band blew me away.
One of my best friends graduated with these dude. I've been listening to this EP since the day it came out with very few listeners on Spotify. Underrated doesn't do this band justice
Great 'new to me' band to check out. thanks. Your comment about 'listening stamina' is spot on. A lot of people, and even those who appreciate music in it's many forms, don't make/take the time to fully listen to the depth (and length) of tracks like this and bands like this - in the 'prog' or experimental spectrum. Attention span to fully appreciate is absent. I often get comments that bands I like have songs that are too long! Yet that song has had about 3 or 4 movements/sections that sounds totally different and unique. Sure, it might be more challenging to listen to and digest and appreciate, but damn the pay off is sweet.
Great reaction, really hope you check out more from these guys. I would highly recommend Captain No Beard, which they put out a video for not too long ago, and which i think might be the most rhythmically satisfying song i have ever heard in my life. Other than that, Nineties Nine Ties and Dizziness Explained would be the go to, though there are still some other really solid songs on their Light Years album.
I agree with what you say about the structure of a "song." I shared this tune with my brother after watching this video, and he took a week to listen to it because he had to be in the right mindset.
By God, I'm on a wave of brilliance here. This has never been my type of music (math fusion metal???!???) I guess...idk...lol. but these guys are awesome
When I was in high school I had to read les miserables and it was kind of a struggle to get through all of it because it was so long, but it was so worth it by the time I finished the book. Listening to really long prog songs like this kinda feel like I'm reading that book again.
Late to the party... came from Geebz's analysis of "Pure". Wow Wow Wow!! Usually I'm wary of this genre because I feel like too many musicians just treat it like technical death metal. Not that I don't love some tech death, but what I mean is they (in my opinion) use the genre as a means to express technical mastery at the expense of something lyrical. For me this track is a crowning achievement of progressive metal and music in general! ❤
A few more for your consideration: . Hiatus Kaiyote - Jekyll (black and white video) . MoonChild - NPR Tiny Desk Concert . Outkast - B.O.B . Outkast - Hey Ya . Common - When We Move . Janelle Monae - Tightrope

Since 2011, the band has comprised Wiwczarek on guitars and vocals, guitarist Marek "Spider" Pająk, bassist Tomasz "Hal" Halicki, and British drummer James Stewart. have you considered doing some reactions to electronic music? I Broke My Robot (the solo project of Robert Hartless) is something i think you could really enjoi. "The Afternoon We Tried Suicide" or "Take Alphacalm" are great reference points.
Have you discovered Fear Factory yet? The album “Obsolete” from 1998 is a metal tour-de-force .. crunchy and meaty with tons of double bass chuggy riffs ..
You should react to some soundtracks since you used to be a composer. I recommendThe Island by Steve Jablonsky, Battle Cry by Two Steps from Hell and Arrival to Earth Transformers.
Please decompose the band Telesma with the song Amor Fati. If you are into the band Tool, they got plenty of influences. The utilization of the didgeridoo and other exotic instruments is really awesome!
Hey Key of Geebz, literally no one on youtube has reacted to Metallica's Iced Honey. It's off of what is considered their worst album [Lulu] it's a cooperative album with Lou Reed from Thr Velvet Underground. I want to get your opinion on it though. I think it's the best song on the project
Wow thank you so much for giving this lengthy song of ours a chance! I guess we also owe your Patrons a huge thank you for requesting this song. Keep up these awesome reaction/song analysis videos and thank you again! :)

You guys deserve a lot more attention. You all rock!
Whoever recommended Aviations to Geebz, you’re doing good work out there!
This is like a perfect blend of Tesseract + The Contortionist + Animals as Leaders. Amazing!
Whenever I don’t know what to listen to, I check your channel and I discover fantastic songs such as this. Thanks Geebs!
Absolutely true! It has been a long time since i've heard such a fantastic clean singer in a harder prog band like these guys.
This is where UA-cam is a blessing instead of a curse. So many people are hearing this via reactions channels. It's how I first heard it about a year ago.
For you to release it from Patreon will help it be heard even more. 🙂

Extremely underrated. Even their debut album that this song was originally on is a masterpiece.

Same. Blew my socks off in a way that I know I've heard this kind of thing before, but to hear it so well done...well, it's something special.
And yet again, Geebz introduces me to another band that blew my mind. These guys will definitely be added to the rotation. 🤙

Heh. Played a show with these guys in 2014. They were sick then and they're sick now. Great analysis.

Coming back to this again it’s still hilarious when you say
“I’ll be here for 2 hours!” 😂
this is music for musicians, and I say this in the most complimentary way possible
Wish they included the piano part the skipped out on in the music video, it's beautiful
Thanks to your patreons and you for releasing it! Great stuff! Awwright!
Aviations are amazing. They are all Berklee School of Music graduates (Boston, MA) - so definitely well trained. Such a great band.
Boosting engagement 👍. Awesome stuff!
