What is NFC and how to use it on your Samsung phone or tablet

What is NFC technology?
Near Field Communication or NFC are short range transmissions that require devices to be in close proximity. This technology allows users to:
1) Make secure transactions
2) Exchange digital content
3) Connect electronic devices with a touch
The most common use of NFC technology in your smartphone is making easy payments with Samsung Pay.
So how do you turn NFC on?
1) Go to ‘Settings’
2) Tap ‘Connections’
3) Select ‘NFC and contactless payments’
4) Tap the switch to turn NFC on
Now that NFC has been enabled on your Samsung phone or tablet, you can change your settings for contactless payments
1) Tap ‘Contactless payments’
2) Select your preferred mobile payment service
3) Follow the on-screen instructions to finish setting it up
Follow the steps below to turn NFC on or off quickly
1) Swipe down from the top of the screen twice to access your quick settings
2) Swipe left to see more options
3) Tap NFC to turn it on or off
