I haven't built a kit in many years, but I really enjoy your videos. Especially the painting part, which really makes them come to life. Thank you. :-)
I'm used to master grade gunplay and some Tamiya military kits. This is what I need to get myself for Christmas.
The more I watch this video the more I want to order this Falcon & an air brush kit & attemp this build & paint. I've been wanting a Falcon to display for a while but some kits are so expensive but this Bandai kit looks really cool.
L. Hanson Go for it! Get a cheap revell plastic kit to test your airbrush technique on and have at it! Also some clippers for the little fiddly bits.
Great kit - it has heaps of detail. And your weathering is spot on! Nicely done!
+Ostrich Longneck THANK YOU
Love the choice of music.
Tchaikovsky is always a win
Andy, it's really good to see other stuff get done too... :) oh yes...
Nice video! And glad I found this channel as I have been to the store many times! Will have to look for the kit and any additional upgrade parts!
Very, very crisp and deliciously detailed kit.
thank you sir I did order some from amazon can't wait!!
Nice job! Turned out really nice!!
I would have liked to see the painting process that you mentioned you did..since I plan on picking this kit up asap!
Looks like an amazing model!!
I have this kit on order so found your build vid very useful. Thanks
+Armour Empire You will love it goes together great and crazy detail
Great videos mate! It's great how you show the build of kits. I liked your reviews of the new Tamiya products you got recently. Can you do more product reviews like them? They are fantastic and I like how you show a demo of the product and it is explained very clearly!
Great work. Decals are my nemesis. Tchaikovsky is nice to listen to too.
Great job on the Falcon. The finish is fantastic.
Bill.
Nice video. You earned yourself another sub. I mainly build Gundam kits but recently these Star Wars kits became available where I live so I will be getting as many as I can.
+Kevin Webster Thank you
Awesome video especially for me who hasn't build a model in 30years!!!!
Gundam kits used to be my life. thinking of getting this with one of the really nice lighting kits. seems like fun.
a great tutorial video ..Thank you very much. .wonderful end product
+Darth Vader Thank you
The backround Classical is great !
Great video...excellent work as always!!
+MuttModeler Thank you
Sir I loved your paint up of this. Some guys rely WAY to much on streaking, and get heavy-handed. I really like your approach. I know it's some years later but this definitely still holds up! V
Superb build. I'm always fascinated to see how people do weathering and panel lines etc. The wash did a great job. I might use this for my own kit. My only negative on this kit is that it didn't come with the LED lighting kit that's available for it. I mean seriously 2 or 3 LED's and a battery holder really doesn't cost much these days. I've seen the lighting kit available for the insane price of $50+. I think I'll make my own to suit. Many thanks for the build, I really enjoyed watching it.
+Sean Curtin Thank you I know I wish it had had the lighting kit , it would have been a nice touch.
Holy.....crapshits, I am ordering one of these for sure now. This will be my first model since I was a kid. Absolutely love Star Wars and no better way to get back into models than with the Falcon.
Kit looks damn good.
+Matthew Sinclair THank you
Amazing build. I know this video is 4 years old but i got a question regarding the decals. I saw that after you where done painting you went straight to decals. Did you coat the surface with clear before the decals or you went straight to it without clear? Do the decals move freely without a smooth surface?
Great job on this. Do you recommend a certain airbrush for something like this? What are you using in this video?
If you get this kit be sure to pick up the recently released Paragrafix photoetch set for it. It's awesome. P/N: PGX200
приятно слышать классику на звуковом сопровождении. кстати классная работа, много чего полезного я же подчерпнул
Looks nice Andy
Nice model
Really nice job! Is it possible to add a light kit? (maybe a sound as well)
Nice shading. What about the exhaust port streaks? Would you do them with an airbrush or weathering kit?
I thoroughly enjoy all your videos I did have a question on painting. It seems you don't prime your models before painting you do an undercoat would you consider this your primer coat?
Very nice work on this model. I just picked one up and I am wondering what the correct color of it is. Is it more of a white or like some videos I see is it more of a grey. Any help would be great. I was leaning toward Testors light aircraft grey.
wow!.... Andy.. Star wars!.. you sneaky! ....didn't expect that one :).....will be looking forward to the armour build has well... ;)
+Alan Sheppard Yes I love star wars, Just started the new Tamiya M4A3E8 SO look for new video soon. Thanks for watching.
Wow, looks great!
Btw what type of airbrush primer do you use?
It is a beautiful work, could you tell me what colors did you use to paint? I have one in 1/144 scale
nice paint job
Hi, great paint weathering job. Did you use a gloss or flat white to mix with the German grey?
Love your building videos, and love the music! thanks
Great work on this fantastic iconic piece! Please advise if the cockpit comes with a clear plastic to represent wind screen?
+deserthawk07691 yes it comes also with a clear cockpit
Great build as is the weathering. Can't wait for Tamiya Sherman.
Nice Video!
was there an option to have the round radar dish (pre battle of endor ) in the kit?
wondering why you did not spray the bottom pieces before fitting in .
+Thomas Ong no only the square dish
Very nice! :)
Being a Filipino in the UK I miss the Philippines toy stores. I just got this kit on my holiday their and spent an hour deciding which kit to buy as they had everything
I miss uk hobby stores they used to stock absolutely everything back in the day but unfortunately most of them have died out.
There a lot of UA-cam falcon bandai builds but saw a Star Wars slave 1 on the store shelve wondering when someone going to do a video on it hope soon!
AWSOME!!!!
Please build more star wars stuff. Thank you!
you know the colors on the back of the book, do you know what they are or did you find the closest to it?
Very nice, what do you use to take the kit apart for painting?
Hello! What solution you mentioned when you applied the decals?
Watching you airbrush is so satisfying.
I hope you make a 1/72 XWing building process too!
Nice job!
Thank you
Hi... I would like to know if the kit can be built as the "A New Hope" Millennium Falcon? does it come with the Circular Radar Dish to build it as the New Hope Falcon.
that time I'm having hard time which one to pick from I think 1/144 x-wings, this millennium falcon but end up buying the real grade kit of 00 raiser. next time it's either this one or the x-wings
There's 1/72 x wings not 1/144
a little off topic but do you recommend Vallejo surface primer? im nee and i paint WWII 1/35 kits and learned it works great if i dont make a little mistake and have to sand or anything. anyway to make it sandable or workable at all?
Awesome job! Hey what kind of paint did you use? I like that look you gave it... I wanna do the same for mine...
Would be my first time air brushing. Could you point me in the right direction for a dummy/novice in air brushing on what paints to get and air brush that is decently cost effective. Thaaaanks!!
totally mind blown.
What air brush paint equipment did you use? I am shopping for air brush equipment to paint this same model for my home so would like to consider what you are using. Thanks.
Nice! I getted (got?) my Falcon today from Japan. H A P P Y ! ! !
Any chance you can list all the equipment and paint you used on this. What type of paint did you use
Loved that u even noted what paints you were using. Truly fantastic job 👏
Question, why'd he spray the engine looking parts around 7:00 separately and not as it was attached to the model?
I do the model kit as well on this moment. But I have problems to fit peaces c18 and c19, can u show us how to do it, because I dont' see these parts in you're vid.
Hi there Andy! The bandai millennium falcon build was amazing. You mentioned the use of micro cell I think that's what U said. To be painted on the decals. What is it ? And what brand to use ? Thx Steve
micro sol, it is a decal softing solution, also you should try Tamiya mark fit strong works great
Do u have to paint this or would it look fine with just the stickers?
very nice.
Just wanna ask if u didnt use a primer for this kit. Is it necessary to use primers for this particular model?
Andy, I have a question for you. Are Vallejo paints easier to work with than Tamiya paints? Vallejo are acrylics correct?
I haven't built a model since I was a kid about 20 or so years ago but I'm building this model now as my first since then and having great fun and impressing myself with each step but how the hell do you paint the people. Under a magnifying glass I can see a lot of detail but I've got no clue how to paint them
Fantastic work, I really want this kit, but I want to build it as per the original trilogy......is the radar dish the only difference, as im thinking of ordering one and just holding onto it until someone comes out with an optional part? like the 1/72 kit, i just cant justify £300 for it.
This looks fantastic, did you clear coat before adding the decals?
+WhiteLine Fever Yes I did
What color/brand of paint did you use for the "off white" color?
Nice work! What dimensions are the kit?
Is that why you airbrush on black then white with grey? For weathering?
una pregunta alguien sabe si esas stikers son normales o hay que pegarlas con agua?
por favor díganme quiero adquirirlo pero primero necesito saber
In japan we can get this in department stores and hobby stores like it's gundam kit
I was the 700th Like. Great job!
Damn!!! That looks really cool! I wonder which part needs to be separately painted?
been wondering.........can I paint the model without model paint but with normal water color?
lovely video! im new to modeling so forgive my ignorance, but what did you soak the decals in?
Best practice is just warm water
@@cleverusername9369 i forgot i left this comment! Ive been modeling for 2 years since this and use warm water for all my decals lol!
What exactly is the microsol for? 10:08. What does it do?? What would happen if you didn't put "lots of coats of microsol"?
nice thank you
Does it have optional landing gear?
Are the decals dry rub?
awesome job!!!
which store did you got this kit?
+Juan Carlos Cuevas Hi Thanks, It was actually given to me by a friend .
Man that thing looks good man, I've always wanted to build the millennium falcon since I was a kid, but damn that looks good man
also is it not necessary to use primer on this? I usually use a good primer on all my painting. I'm currently waiting on some Mr. Surfacer.
I don't ever prime , never had a need for it
Did you prime this kit? or any kits?
I just bought this kit for a gift, and now I am concerned if the receiver is going to need an airbrush kit?? They aren't into airbrushing or modeling, however, HUGE Star Wars fan and especially likes the Millenium Falcon.
Do we need glue to build this? my order is on the way, want to prepare all the tools, :)
+Baskoro Juwono no but I would use it just to be sure
I love Tchaikovsky
I know it has been 4 years already but does anyone know any dealer for this specific model?
Hobby lobby, I think?
Hi, I got this model, but I am wondering if I can find building instructions in English??!! Also I a wondering if somebody tells me where I can get battery kit to light up this model?
Nice! This is 24 bucks on BigBadToyStore, might pick one up!!
What is the weight of the finished product? Thanks.
I have my Bandai Falcon on order as well as Bandai's LED kit. I've watched a few videos & think yours is painted the best. I'd like to try & replicate yours if that ok with you. May I have a list of the paints you used in your video sir? Is there an airbrush system you'd recommend?
Thank you so much for your help & advise. It's definitely appreciated
+L. “ROA” Hanson Hi the base coat is TAMIYA XF 69 NATO BLACK and the next coat is white with about 10% german grey added
+Andy's Hobby Headquarters
Thank you very much
do you have a website for your store also do you sell the bandai star wars kits?
+Dennis G No I don't have a website and bandai star wars are not allowed to be imported by the manufacturer , get them on Amazon
