Ssangyong Musso - How To Bleed A Diesel Fuel System When It Is Totally Dry.

How to bleed the fuel system when it is totally dry. This applies to all Ssangyong 2.0 & 2.2 4 cylinder diesel engines as fitted to Musso, Korando sports, Rexton, korando, Turismo & Rodius.
The battery MUST be in good condition and fully charged, it will never start if the engine doesn't crank fast enough.
If after doing this the engine cuts out at idle, take it for a drive to clear the remaining air from the fuel system. It may cut out a frw times when stopping at junctions, just restart and keep driving till it stays running.

You wouldn't need to do this unless you run it completely out of fuel.

I have a Ssangyong Rexton 2.7 i have ran out of fuel thinking i can make it a few kilometers then got stuck i then changed fuel filter

Now it starts then idles for 40 seconds then dies

Drive it untill it stays idling, it might cut out a few times when you stop but just restart it and keep driving. It'll take a while for all the air to bleed out.
