    I have one. 2.4 miles per kilowatt consumption over 14,000 miles. Which I think is roughly 26 KWh per 100km. Taken plenty of long trips including southern UK to south west France. No other electric vehicle can seat seven and still have space for a wheelchair, dog and luggage. I'd like it to be more efficient sure but as Bjorn said it's basically a 3 tonne brick! BTW in the UK it's much cheaper to run than a diesel due the tax system here. It's about time Ford & VW released something to compete against it. ID Buzz is far too small. Charging curve at fast chargers is super flat at around 110kw up to 78% then tapers down gradually to around 30kw. It is very sensitive to outside temperature. Consumption increases in steps below 15, 10, 5 Celsius.

      The ID. Buzz will have a long wheel base version soon. It will be standard for the US. I am certain we will have a 7 seat Buzz by next years. Also we should see the ID. California some time soon

      @@arthemis1039 buzz is significantly smaller inside than this though. It's essentially a smaller size van. Even the long wheel base won't be close to the volume of this one or the stellantis vans.

    • @jamesclerkmaxwell8020
      @jamesclerkmaxwell8020 Рік тому

      Does the consumption increase at lower temperature because of higher heating expenditures ? Or did you drive with heating off ? Thanks

    • @peterbrook6866
      @peterbrook6866 Рік тому

      @@jamesclerkmaxwell8020 on a dry day 20 Celsius I can get almost 3 miles per KWh on local driving and about 225 on a motorway trip. Today -4 Celsius I got 1.8 miles per KWh on a 25 minute run with 4 in the car, I estimate motorway driving range would be down to 170. I usually just have heating set to 20 Celsius on automatic with air conditioning on.

    • @matthiashejlskov5008
      @matthiashejlskov5008 Рік тому

      @@jamesclerkmaxwell8020 all EVs lose range in cold weather. The batteries don't perform as well when cold, and it just drains more power.
      Most counteract this a bit by heating the battery, but that uses power too, so it's a tradeoff.
      Heating the cabin air is usually quite a small impact overall.

    This generation V-class is introduced in 2014, it is still basically the same van, but electrified. The interior is the same as the 2015 C350e my dad used to have. It is pretty outdated. It is the time for a new V-class (and EQV) with the EQE/EQS interior and software!

      not the same interior.

    • @AOTanoos22
      @AOTanoos22 Рік тому

      @@long-black-vietnamese-man The design is literally the same, only thing they changed is remove the rpms from the tachometer and replace it with the electric stuff, replace the infotainment screen with a slightly bigger one and replace the wheel-control of the infotainment with a touch pad. Everything else is 100% the same. It even has Mercedes' outdated and discontinued steering wheel from 2014, which you can't get on any other vehicle.

    I have driven mye EQV 2 times 3k km roadtrips this summer. First one was holiday loaded with 6 grownups and luggage. Average consumpion landed at 25kwh/100km. Second trip Bergen-Lofoten and back with only me and my wife landed at 22 kwh/100km. I take that as fylly acceptable, with above 400 km total range theoretically. Wet roads sucks extra energy though.

    This looks like a classy van. Quite expensive for families. Likely a good option for limousine or bus work like airport shuttles. Maintenance and cost of operation should be way better than gas or diesel plus much better for the environment of course.

    Hi Bjørn did you forget about the stellantis cars (toyota proace, citroen e-spacetourer, peugeot e-traveller and opel)? They have quite simmilar range with the bigger battery pack. Same size like EQV tho. I have e-expert 75kwh and averaging around 26kwh on summer tires and 29kwh on winter tires with studs.

    For vans given current technology, only hydrogen actually makes sense a little range-wise. It is the unfortunate truth. But try driving in winter on highways with battery-van and you get a terrible results. Not much space for aerodynamic improvement either. 😅

    such an expensive van with just 200km range of the highway 😂 and the charging costs you arm and leg at current kWh prices.
    of course it is hige and cannot be compared as you say to a Model 3 but the range for me is half of what it needs to be ...
