    I remember this from many years ago it bothered me so much. I don't understand how or why people call in false information and waste so much valuable time and then the cruelty of calling the parents like that is beyond me.

    Watched this earlier today and can’t get over the fact of the ‘friends’ leaving both Wendy and Jesse stranded..taking Jesse’s car. Who does that?! It’s not like they were around the block from home. Can’t imagine that they don’t think of that on the regular. If they hadn’t taken off in that car..Jesse and Wendy would likely be alive today.

      Exactly. How come the parents of Wendy didnt call the police. She was 16. Everybody claims to just look at them going away, sending money for the trip....i dont buy this. At all.

    I'm happy he actually told them the truth and where to find her. Most don't do that and it makes it harder on families. He got what he deserved but, at minimum gave the families answers.

    Oh boy did this one hit home. I had bought my first house for my daughter and I. It was at a dead end in our Illinois town. Lovely old bungalow. Train tracks maybe 2oo feet away or something right on the other side of the street that curved around into an alley. Not exactly a total dead end I guess but anyway...we ended up selling. We had a peeping Tom. Came home and our next door neighbor was sitting on our porch steps with a rifle. It was during the time Resendez was riding the rails. We'll never know if that was him thank God. Loved that house but there was also constant gang tagging and they broke into our garage and car. I feel so bad for those kids and their parents. Horrible monster. Glad they got that one. Thanks for the vid🙏💔

    Aw, my heart breaks for these families.
    My mother Yolanda Griffie murdered Mar 1 1980 in San Diego/La Mesa at the Helix cross and is a cold case. I'm not articulate enough to keep trying to find justice for her and it saddens me so. I live in Idaho now. I am glad they did get some closure at least, but yes it's always going to hurt.

    Ok. Here we go.
    First questions that overwhelms me right now at just a few minutes in:
    Why did they run away?
    Nobody stood their love in the way?
    Everybody claims they knew they were made for each other.
    So why this "running away in order to start a new life?" That is very much confusing. I need popcorn for this.
    Also: the murder weapon strongly suggests that young man was "hurt" in a train.

    Dunno why the killer wanted immunity from the crime as he could of had his death penalty postponed for the trial if he'd been smart. If he was really lucky he might have been taken to Florida for trial and not given a death sentence there(altho unlikely being Florida) and had Florida insist he finish his sentence there first, before being transferred back to Texas to finish the remainder of whatever sentence he was already doing, even the death penalty. I mean it would be a long shot, but can't see that he had much to loose and everything to potentially gain.

    • @ChooChewChu
      @ChooChewChu Рік тому

      That's not how things work. You don't commit murder in Florida, get a life sentence without the possibility of parole (for example), serve until you die, then go back to Texas as a corpse to finish off you death penalty sentence. It doesn't make any sense. If a suspect gets convicted of the death penalty somewhere, other cases may never be tried because it's a waste of money. S/he's already being put to death, so all that matters now is extracting more information from the suspect to give the victims closure.

    The narrator states “ due to the court Oder preventing detectives from speaking to Resendez, they sent the letter”. It wasn’t a court order that prevented the detectives from speaking to Senor Resendez, it was his own defense attorneys who, rightfully so, stopped Resendez from speaking to the detectives. Just a minor detail but in cases like these, details matter.
