Pro-Palestinian protest encampment in center of USC campus cleared; no arrests reported

- Law enforcement officers in riot gear cleared another encampment formed by pro-Palestinian demonstrators on the campus of the University of Southern California early Sunday morning. A statement issued by USC's Senior Vice President of Communications Joel Curran just before 7 a.m. Sunday confirmed the removal of the encampment and said that while some protesters were not peaceful, no arrests were immediately reported.

Why weren't the law breakers who created this filthy mess arrested or charged with any crimes? Tacit approval by the authorities. They should at least be given hefty fines to pay for the work to dismantle their "encampment". I have been involved in many, many, protest marches during my youth, but it was always understood to be a "pack it in? pack it out" situation. There is innocent, civilian, blood on the hands ON BOTH SIDES of this conflict, but how these dirty and dangerous "encampments" hope to improve the situation is beyond me. Students who participate are risking their entire education, their entire career, perhaps resulting in many thousands of dollars in debt and no way to earn to pay it off, and for what? Who did they save?

With this new wave of terrorism, institutions need to sit down and create new policies , on acts of terrorism; vandalizing of school ptoperty; skateboarding; trespassing of property past school office hours, library hours etc ... the students don't own the schools. They are there to study; interact with other students, school staff, and other ancillary staff.
