We headed over the other side of the Pennines to enjoy a day out in Blackpool, we stealth camped in a pub carpark then called for a hike up Pendle Hill on our way back.

This video was so easy and relaxing to watch - coincidentally, me & my better half have just been to Blackpool (drive thru - trip up the coast) and saw all your ports of call.
Last year we did Pendle - we went on The Pendle Sculpture Trail - great fun looking at all the sculptures dotted about in the forest (take a look at it sometime)
We live in Preston - but originally I am from Wakefield - so I think that was -art of the reason, you were both so easy to watch & your sense of humour was just what I miss about Wakey…
I see that you have a video from there (my next watch, in a few minutes 😉) & also many others video locations from my childhood - perfect!

When nearly at the top, I got my binoculars out, and thought I was seeing things when I saw what looked like Blackpool Tower..BUT IT WAS! 😃 and Liverpool and wales and the sea, as well as the Lake District or were they Scottish mountains too! 😮

The pine forest you walked past on your left hand side is called ‘Low wood’ and is reported to be haunted. We have hiked Pendle a few times. Secondly, we know the The Shovels pub well as we live round the corner from it. 😊

We love watching your videos and we are really thankful that there’s a back catalog as otherwise we’d have to wait for next new one, but thankfully we can fill the time by going back in time. You do an amazing job with the editing & music mixing.
Love it....The Chuckle Brothers! You two do make us all laugh. It's so fun to watch your videos. Hope you're hip is okay Helen. I was having trouble with my left one and found this supplement that did the trick, it has avocado and soybean unsaponifiables, the mixture reduces swelling in the joint. You have to let it build up in your system for 6-8 weeks and then it just seems to be like magic, the pain is gone. I love how you two are prepared for any kind of weather when you hike and just keep going sun, rain or snow. Looking forward to see what you two will be doing as Summer approaches. Have a good week!

Great vlog. Am originally from Nelson so spent a lot of time up Pendle and the surrounding pubs,left the area about 30 years ago but always go back.

I left home when I was 18 and moved to Blackpool in 1968. It was a lot of fun then. Haven't been back for years. Too old now. I'll stick with the hiking.

highlight of the video was David Carradine's homage to death race 2000 on his mobility scooter lol. I always hated those pastic pink horse carriages....they remind me of another movie homage.... the boy in the plastic bubble lol... sorry, but Blackpool brings out the worst in me. 3-40 for some chips..... Think I'll cook me own in the van lol......preferably parked at Lytham 🤣 great video as always both of you. Bessy regs-Kenny

Brilliant as per, Pendle Hill, reet in my back yard, can easily recommend settle, plenty of pubs and a cracking carpark you can stay in overnight near the rugby club, right int centre, tek care both o'yer

Blackpool looked very quiet, but it's still early in the season yet,the story that Helen told about the pendle witches is really fascinating, I read up on it a few years back as a fellow you tuber MCM outdoors goes up that way alot and does camp overs 👀..anyway I looked up the story and it's very fascinating indeed. Looks like you had a great weekend again,and Helen get that hip looked at!

A way of getting further away but not having work and family commitments being a problem, you drive out to France or Italy, so on then Helen get's a flight out. Get a flight back, and you can stay on a while longer. I saw flights to France for under £10, Its crazy! also saw Rome for £25 once.

I go up Coast a mile to st Anne’s n stay in t Campervan on the front next to the lifeboat hut it’s great there’s about 15 pubs you d like there

your walk up Pendle Hill & sudden weather change - i thought “typical changeable English weather!” I also thought when you arrived at the Pendle Inn & the van you would feel like a warm shower after the exertion. Where would you find a warm bath or shower? Guess a mop down with hand towel & warm water in back of van would be nxt best thing.
