As a 2019 Grand Sport owner, I found this video enjoyable and informative for the masses!
Well done.
Thank you Eric for taking the time to say that!
Great informative review. The Grand Sport is arguably the C7 that gives the most bang for the buck for most Corvette owners who don't go to the track but yet is track ready for those so inclined to do so.
I love your car reviews man! Always very entertaining. Keep up the good work!
That really means a lot! Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Bossman me&wifey say you&your buddy nailed this one we thank you two for this awesome video.
Thanks for letting me know that! I hope all is well with you guys! I haven't seen you post in a while!
I love the Grand Sport. Nice info on the hashmark stripes.
I didn’t know that. Learn something new every day.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful Grand Sport! 👍🏻👍🏻🏁🇺🇸
Thanks for letting me share this one with you!
You’re very thorough and detailed with you’re videos... keep them coming!👍
That is so very awesome of you to say! Thanks for watching!
The C7 is going to be really tough to let go. I LOVE this piece of art work. This is my bucket list car. 7 speed GS. I’m in
I am right there with you sir!
I kinda like the idea of a future "Joe's Garage" (just like the Frank Zappa song), where there's a Corvette (you choose the flavour Joe), a GT500, a Focus RS and chuck in a 2021 Mustang GT for a daily driver. There's room in there for a sweet ride for Lori (whatever she chooses), and a visitor's spot for Tom "Big Guns McGee" Moschner to park his car of choice when he comes by for a visit. Keep growing Joe, and make it happen!
That would be amazing Sophie! Thank you for believing in what we are doing on Raiti's Rides.
gotta love those Vettes! I'd be happy with just the base model stingray. But it would be nice to be able to afford the ZR1! That Grand Sport is a beauty. Great Job Joe, Keep em' comin', thanks.
I totally know how you feel Paul! Thanks for your awesome support!
Great video as usual, Joe, but please show off that beautiful blue CTS-V Wagon next to that Vette!
Great video bro. Love how easy and clear you explain to us vett novice all the details and history. Big fan from the Dominican Republic
This is my dream car. I'll get it next year if the prices go down a bit lol! Thanks for the review!
Dream Big man!
Good video I love ❤️ the Fox body in the back corner of that C7 👍👍😎🏝
Good eyes brother!
Hey Joe! That is one beautiful Grand Sport race RED. That would definitely be my second choice dream car. Love it gentleman 😆. Keep pumpin Tom!
Thanks David! I am so glad that you liked this one!
My dad has a '17 GS Z07, 7 speed manual with comp seats. Wicked car. I love it.
I always learn something new with every review. Keep up the great work 🙏
That is so very awesome of you to say! Thanks!
I'M NOT A VETTE GUY BUT THAT IS BANGING. CORVETTES NEVER BEEN MY CUP OF TEA BUT THIS ONE BROKE THE MOLD. THAT CORVETTE IS BEAUTIFUL . TO ME IS ONE OF A KIND.
Thanks for letting em share this one with you!
Another great review. I like everything this owner did to his Grand Sport. It screams, OH BABY!
I am so glad that I could share this one with you!
I really love how this looks! Wow 😮! Looks amazing! C7 is still a beautiful corvette
I am so glad that I could share it with you!
I would love to own a 2019 Torch Red Grand Sport. I Already own a Ford Focus RS and a 1990 Corvette. I just need more garage space👍👍👍
Now that would be a dream garage!
You know I'm coming in to comment on a Grand Sport! Leaning towards a Z06 for my C7 but we shall see!!
I knew you would like this one! Z06 would be a blast!
1:10 where is my ice cream
You have to come and get it! :-)
Another great video. Another great review. And I agree with you. I always thought the GS side vent was better looking than the Z06 vent. Keep it up brotha! 👍
Thanks for letting me share it with you! I guess great minds think a like!
Corvette has been around since 1953? 😱 I thought 1960s like the Mustang and most American muscle cars. That is why I like to watch you videos Mr. Joe, always learn something new👊🏼
Thanks for taking the time to say that!
Terrific Joe. Really enjoyed this!
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
I am a long time Porsche owner. I’ve actually had 10. However I currently own a 2011 Audi R8 Spyder 6/Speed manual gated shifter. The 2019’ Corvettes are a steal right now but how do they compare to the 911 and Audi for reliability? I have had almost no issues over 25 years of owning these cars. My daily drivers have always been the S Class Mercedes and the same thing. Very reliable!!!
Nice C7 GS. I'll keep my C6 2012 GS, 2LT. Absolutely love this GS car.
Well, this one is perfect, love the grand sport and this color is awesome, pure N/A, which on this sound amazing. Great video Joe
the answer to the question asked in the video's title is a clear YES !
Thanks for your Reviews. After researching for over a Year ( I Almost Bought a 2SS Camaro) I’ve Ordered a 2019 Grand Sport 2LT , Manual from Kerbeck , should get in Late July, it may be one of the Last 2019 GS made !
Yes. That is the answer to your question. :-)
I had a feeling you would say that!
I prefer the C8 interior and the C7 GS Exterior.. Can I have both in one car?
Sure!
That thing is one of a beast. Corvette are very common in Florida.
The c7 corvette was a perfect vehicle. The only imperfection is that I wasn't perfect for the vehicle in the fact that i was a larger man in stature and had a slight problem fitting the car. The big thing i will miss is the infectious engine sound as you banged through the gears. Having an automatic was a blast. If I was to try and invest in another c7, I'd have to first drive a manual to see if it was similar to the magic of the auto! Only 15% of corvette c7's are manual which make them rare
Real good info. With the C8 out, I'm sorta thinking Corvette again. I thought about putting my name on the reserve list, but then I starting thinking; I bet these C7 are going to be discounting a lot, since I hear they have a good inventory of 2019's still. Now to start checking out forums for dependability. Thanks for all the info. The Grand Sport would probably be the one.
So beautiful.
I totally agree with you!
Geeze Joe, another Corvette? This could get old. lol Never! I enjoy it when you're able to review someone's personal ride, no matter what the ride. The owner of this GS created a masterful overstatement of subtlety. The GS is truly a ZO6 in, well, in GS clothing. Eliminate the GS badging and change out the hood and you can't tell the difference in the two unless you look under the hood. As to the hash marks, didn't the racers back in the day only have the hash marks on the driver's side of the front fender? My guess is that it was done that way because they raced counter-clockwise so the pit crews could spot their car from all vantage points.
It will be interesting when GM finally gives us the details on the C8, but apparently we'll no longer be able to chang gears, bang gears, or row the gears. We will literally be "switching" gears and no more heel and tow foot maneuvering. Of course the heel tow technique has been pretty much eliminated with the C7's ability to rev matching, but for guys such as yourself, you have the option not to turn on the rev match feature. I don't know if the C8 will offer that.
Save the Wave
I knew you would love this C7 Grand Sport Peter! The owner did a great job with it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will see the C8 Corvette tomorrow at the NY Auto Show.
Wouldn't that be epic, but I wouldn't hold your breath on seeing the C8. The phrase "Tempest in a Teapot" comes to mind. lol You'll enjoy the show not matter what though. Can't wait to see your uploads.
Great looking C7...just enough, not over the top
Tom is flexing his cameraman muscles XD
Oh yes he is!
Good review. Quick and to the point...and accurate.
Thanks that really means a lot!
No but the z06 is, my father just got one and man I gotta tell you that 650 hp is amazing
Very cool!
Grand Sport is my favorite C7 but I can't stop looking at the Fox Body in the background at 4:34
Nice looking GS 👍🏻
Thanks for letting me share it with you Ryan!
The only thing about the GS bodywork that is Z06 is the wider fender flares. The side vents on the front fenders are cheesy and ugly. Gonna have to zonk you for saying they look better than the vents on the Z06. The rear vents on the lower rear panels are close to the Z06 but no cigar, the don't blend in like they do on the Z06. The best Grand Sport was the C6 Grand Sport.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and input on this!
great video n job brother love it great job Joe god bless
Thank you so much Chris!
I am sorry dude, the C7 Grand Sport is nice but that Blue CTS-V wagon is a true masterpiece right there.
Yuck, station wagons.
@@mrpmj00 but this ain't no ordinary station wagon.
Beautiful car. Great review.
You forgot to mention that grand sport already awesome, can be taken to another level by adding ZO7 performance option to it.
I see “corvette” and I quit what I’m doing and watch the video. Never cared for the C7 edition. Great car just a personal preference issue. But that C8!! Oh man, I’m already moving some assets around and planning on that one without even knowing the actual price point yet.
Thanks Chris! I am hoping to see the C8 at the NY auto show!
I'm presuming you meant, "Never cared for the C7 edition."
Freedom Rider Yes sir. Thanks I wish I knew if I liked the C8
Excellent video mate
I like the c8 but there's nuthin like a corvette that you can daily drive +track
You can say that again!
As much as I like some of the latest GM vehicles, like the Chevy Blazer RS, I pretty much signed off GM vehicles from this point on. But... if I had the money, and all the other factors to safely store and care for it, and I wanted a high performance sports car, I would get a GranSport C7 like this, maybe on a different color, because I know it is built in a special facility, and the Corvette has a special iconic status, and those involved with it, especially the production and assembly treat it with TLC and kid gloves. So yes, under those circumstances, I would get one of these... if it has Android Auto. Lol
I can totally understand where you are coming from!
@@RaitisRides This is the best C7 to get all the good stuff without spending too much. I mean, how fast do you need to go, and you control it? Several years back there was a nice Blue Z06 at the new car show here in Honolulu. It was $130, and not even fully loaded...
Wondering: Will the mid engine Corvette will look like the Stingray concept 😐😐
If so that would be really Awesome
I am hoping to see it at the NY Auto Show!
#3 Words Only! O.M.G
I am so glad that you liked this one Edward!
No Zonks here, sweet ride.
Beautiful car! I hope the c8 will be worth the hype
Always wondered why the dual hash marks on the fender...had no idea the history of their origin.
Long live the front engine Corvette.
Love this c7 corvette but I'm not a fan of red. I would probably pick blue, orange, or yellow given I could afford it lol still a beautiful car regardless of color!
Yellow? Must be for your wife
That red is so shiny, though.
I totally agree with you!
wax on, wax off! ;-)
Will respectfully differ with ya on this one. The Z06 is the best Corvette buy out there right now. For the price of a GS you can be in a Z06.
It's all good Robert! I love for people to share their opinions. Thanks for watching!
well done !
Thanks or saying that!
I can see a C7 GS in my future
You can make it happen Paul!
Can you give some more details about when and where this car meet is each month. An address or location would be very helpful. I believe you mentioned it was the first Saturday of each month.
I am in the Naples area and would like to attend... thank you
Awesome
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Raiti's Rides always look up to you , I will really like to start my own car/plane channel, you’rea excellent example for me
I bet that baby is more reliable than the Z06 one
Oh come on the C8 will never be as good as the C7 I don't really trust the mid engine cars
I agree with you!
You either trust the builder/manufacturer or not. Where the engine is placed has nothing to do with reliability.
that is a great looking Car ty Joe super job
Thanks Tim! I really appreciate your support!
I want a C7 really bad. I may just get one.
The last real Corvette. RIP
CORVETTES ARE THE BOMB!!😁😁👍
Looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥thnx Joe
This thing is pure fire!
Have a C4 1987, looking to add a C7 z-51 or Grandsport 😎👍🏾🔥
Great review of The Grand Sport!
Thanks Bob that really means a lot!
There was also a C6 Grand Sport
I know they were talking about making a new Ford torino but not sure if it happened or not, but yeah if you can do a review on 1970 to 1972 Ford torino would be great god bless brother
I must have a corvette before i die
Great video 🤙🙏
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Luv them, thank you.
You are so very welcome!
Love the mods!
I am so glad that I could share this one with you!
Duntov built something that weighed 2000 pounds and went fast but I'd hesitate to call it a Corvette. Maybe a funny car? (A stock 63 Corvette weighed around 3100 pounds.)
Duntov was one hell of an engineer!
Eye candy 🍒
Good video, I'd like to see one on the Camaro SS 1le. The grandsport of Camaros so to speak!
Not the grandsport of Camaros...The SS 1LE would be more like a Z06.
@@freedomrider266 the ZL1 would be more Z06. Both have the lt4, the grandsport and SS 1le are both track ready but use naturally aspirated lt1's.
Do 2019 Grand Sports come standard with magnetic ride suspension? I've heard yes and no but can't find any videos or websites saying so
Don't like the red on the diffuser.
I think those are just caps that pop off.
Price might increase on C7's after they release the C8. GM's mid rear engine cars have all been duds. Think about it?
It is going to be interesting to see how this turns out.
Keep up the good work 👍👍💣
GM only made one rear engined car...the 1960-1969 Corvair. While controversial, it could hardly be described as a dud.
@@freedomrider266 Don't forget the pontiac fiero!!
u r welcome buddy
Love the corvette but an Opulent blue CTSV wagon always wins!!!
I'm a mustang guy, but honestly... All C7 videos should be auto-flagged as porn.
Joe I need a favor can do a review on n find out for me if Ford is being back the ford torino god bless let me know
Ford is sone with passenger cars! I can try to track down a classic Torino.
All indications are that the answer is NO...Other than the Focus Active and Mustang, they're done with cars. At least until they unveil some form of "electric" car.
Don't tempt me Joe.
Didn't you already try the Corvette thing! ;-)
The grandsport is kinda like the GT3. RS. ZR1 is more like the GT2 RS
Very good analogy! I really like that!
Yes man
Twinkle toes lol love it
You forgot SEXY Probably the sexiest car out there
Why did this owner buy a 2019 knowing the C8 was coming out for about the same price ? Ouch
I know this may sound crazy, but some people don't want the C8.
I just purchased a 2019 grand sport 2LT. I didn't want a c8. Imho, buying any 1st generation is a mistake, let them iron out the bugs.
Ford Mustang GT 18
I appreciate your input and perspective! Thank you for watching!
Did someone forget there seizure meds today.
Corvette America sports car but how about them Mustangs LOL
I don't consider the Camaro or Mustang a true sports car.
@@RaitisRides more of a muscle car right
Side-oiler??? That's just so ridiculously incorrect of you to say, the oiling system on these cars has nothing to do with a side-oiler. Side-oiler is a term associated with some 60's Ford 427 engines, referring to the priority main oiling system that had the oil passage running down the side of the engine block. What these Corvettes have is a Dry Sump oiling system, that has a tank for the engine oil and external oil scavenge pumps instead of a normal wet sump oil pan and internal oil pump.
Also, the fact that a car has a transaxle, doesn't automatically mean that it's in the back, could be in the back, could be in the front driving the front wheels, just so happens that on the Corvette it is in the back driving the rear wheels.
Maybe when you go and do these reviews on cars, you should get all the facts from the owners so you won't sound like such a boob.
Second
Thanks for your dedication!
Nobody ever says, "I want a Corvette." They all say, "I want a BMW, Audi, Porsche, Merc, Mustang."
I am here to tell you that "I want a Corvette!" ;-)
SOOOORRY NOT AAAALL vetts have targa tops.............................................
