I agree They needed a campaign that involves the water data ones for the landship ,the plane so it makes sense they have something that involves water The only things for water is either DLC or selling from shock ops such as for example in I think the Gallipoli operations there is the L class destroyer is also the gun boats the dreadnought but those are all ex vehicles he couldn’t unlock don’t make sense to have a campaign for the water campaign like the battle of Jutland dreadnought versus dreadnought

"Hell on Earth" would be the name of the campaign and it would be more brutal than the prologue. I remember watching a film of WW1 about a 17 yr old Irish boy who fought in the trenches, I cant remember how it ended but I remember I was terrified for the characters

Honestly I think big games like Cod and Battlefield need to look back at their old games and make it similar to them like I miss when the guns would take up half your screen (bf still does a pretty good job with that) I miss the old gameplay and also when I wouldn't get rekt by sweats and also when you could actually hide in games like cod1-2 and snipe

For some perspective on the Marne Battles. The First Battle of the Marne lasted 7 days. Over half a million casualties combined from both sides in just 7 days. Over 20% of those casualties were deaths. If you were a soldier in the First Battle of the Marne, you basically were expected to be dead in a day. If you came out alive, you were considered lucky

The moment when everything is grim & slowing down knowing that death is coming close gave me dread. Like the beginning dialogue said that you’re not expected to survive. Most of the soldiers who died in combat is accurate since lots of men have enlisted at a young age. That’s why I love the beginning of war stories in bf1. Even the “they push” dialogue gives me so much inspiration!

I understand if this is going to seem like an exaggeration, but this game has one of the most horrifying introductions to a video game that I've ever seen and played through. And I loved every minute of it.
Also, a few details, errors, and other things that I noticed that I would like to point out are as follows:
(Note that I am aware that the errors are not a big deal, I'm just pointing them out. I will also be using more accurate and official names for the weapons in the game as well.)
    1. The Hotchkiss Model 1909 was, as of my knowledge, never used in combat by American forces during the war. However, we did use the Hotchkiss Model 1914 Heavy Machine Gun. If you're trying to play accurate with a Support class, you can use the 1909 Storm as a stand in (Or the Telescopic variant, since it has a Tripod for better accuracy and control, however, it has the permanent 1913 Musket Sight attached.), or, you can use the most obvious choices: The CSRG 1915 Chauchat, or the BAR.
    2. The Winchester 1907 Self-loading rifle wasn't used in an infantry role by U.S forces as well, though some were used by the air force. (As of my knowledge.)
Apparently, there were French contract versions of the rifle that were modifed for fully automatic fire, but I don't think that there's actually physical evidence of this being true. If there is, I'd be happy to be enlightened.
    3. Due to the 369th Infantry Regiment being attached to the French, they would be issued French weapons and equipment. This is reflected in this mission, as lots of soldiers (Including the Narrator.) are seen wearing Adrian helmets, and are seen with the Hotchkiss 1909. (Though the latter detail might not have been intended, especially since it wasn't used by American forces in the war. Or, at least, as of my knowledge.)
    4. During the intro of this mission, when the Narrator reawakens during combat, he is handed a Mauser Gewehr 98, this is most likely because his original weapon was either lost or destroyed. During the end cutscene of the mission, he still has the rifle, implying that he continued to use it. Ammunition for it would have been abundant as well.
    5. When inside the Mark V Tank, you are playing as a British Tank Gunner. However, when you are killed, it oddly shows the body of a Harlem Hellfighter being launched out of the Tank. This might be because the character model couldn't be changed, and sometimes the blast will completely block out the soldier's body. (Possibly as a way to hide this mistake. Clearly, it didn't work very well.)
    6. The Beretta Model 1918 was definitely never used by American forces, and I'm not even sure if there's actually evidence of it seeing use with Italian soldiers during the war. (If there is, again, be my guest, and tell me.)
    7. During the charge that starts off with a gas attack, where you're given the Beretta 1918, and a gas mask that can't be taken off, you can actually die multiple times in quick succession, and be given the role of another soldier as a result. (In the same vain as the earlier parts of the mission, obviously.) The weapons given are as follows: Winchester Model 1897 "Trench Gun/Trench Broom.", Model 1903 Springfield, Beretta Model 1918. (I at least think you can get it again, haven't played the mission in a while.)
During these instances, you no longer have a gas mask, most likely so you can effectively use the Springfield. All soldiers, like the others, also have a Colt 1911 (Which, quick trivia, is actually a hybrid of the original 1911, and the A1 variant.) as a default sidearm.
There seems to be a limited number for the amount of soldiers you can play as in this section, before you're finally forced to play as the invincible soldier. Which I think is meant to be the Narrator. (How he survived the artillery barrage, I don't know, and I don't care.)
    8. ↑ Also, if this is correct, there is also another error here: The Narrator is oddly given a Springfield rifle, when he was shown being given a Gewehr 98 in the intro cutscene. Then, when the ending cutscene plays, he is seen with the Gewehr 98 again. (I don't think the Harlem Hellfighters were ever given Springfields either, could be wrong though.)
    9. This one is incredibly obvious, but multiple wounded soldiers can be seen, ranging from British soldiers, to German Soldiers.
    10. There are at least two instances where the German Flametroopers can be killed instantly with a single shot to whatever part of the body that is hit, they are listed in the following locations:
Outside of the church, when you are using the stationary Machine Gun (I forgot if it's a Maxim, or a Vickers.). And when the Church has been overrun, and you are now inside the Mark V Tank.
    11. When the Church has been Overrun by German Forces, a lone Flametrooper can be seen inside, burning at least two soldiers alive. (Obvious scene.) These soldiers can be quickly put out of their misery. As well as others that have suffered the same fate.
Oddly, although there were instances of German flamethrowers being captured and used by Entente forces (I think.), the Flametrooper inside the Church appears to be a German one, evidenced by his Feldgrau (Field Gray.) uniform. (Not really seen in the video, however.)
This would, disturbingly, mean that he is setting his own comrades alight. *(Pfft. Literal friendly fire...)* I can only assume that this is an Error, and that it's meant to be an Allied Flametrooper. However, this is a bit questionable regardless, as it has been made apparent that the Church was just overrun. I doubt any Allied forces had made it over there to retake the area that quickly. (And why be able to kill a friendly soldier? Leading back to number 10.)
Also, when defending the outside of the Church, it is also possible that the soldiers being burned are, again, German troops. Though it is hard to see because of the distance, I think I actually recognized them as having German models on one of my multiple playthroughs of the mission. Though I could very possibly be incorrect.
    12. This applies to the whole game in general, but I will mention it anyway. Flamethrowers were not designed to be directly used against enemy combatants, they were designed to flush them out of heavily fortified positions. (Trenches, Pillboxes, etc.) It would mostly be allied fire (Gunfire.) that would kill the soldiers. Lack of oxygen due to the smoke would most likely be another factor, but I'm not denying that some soldiers had the misfortune of being torched while still breathing.
    13. In this mission, there are actually different death sounds that play when performing a takedown compared to the rest of the game. The sounds vary from rather short and simple (Not really simple, voice acting requires skill.), to being loud and stomach churning death screams.(Not saying that the "standard" takedown death sounds are less frightening, because they're probably way worse. My cousin heard one while I was playing one time, and he did not look happy...) All of these "unique" death sounds are reused throughout the game, ranging from the campaign, to the multiplayer. Some of the sounds are also ones that were reused from previous Battlefield games. (Though diehard Battlefield players probably already know that.)
    14. When the allied Mark V Tank that is next to you is destroyed by a German field gun, German soldiers that have now become human torches are seen frantically staggering away from the wreckage. This may be another instance of an error, or it's implying that even though there were friendly forces nearby (Which there were, but VERY nearby in this case.), the soldier operating the field gun took the shot anyway, because the Tank was an immense threat. Pretty much a "Kill or be killed." and "Every man for himself." type scenario. Very, very sad.
    15. The African American troops (Harlem Hellfighters.) that are pushing up alongside the Mark V Tank are obviously killed right next to you, but nothing is actually seen killing them. I think it's meant to be field gun round or a mortar shot that got them, but nothing is visible. It could be a glitch (Invisible explosive that killed the soldiers.) or the devs were just very lazy.
    16. This one is probably another incredibly obvious one, but in each section of this level, there are scripted events that cause you to be killed if you survive for long enough. They are as follows:
At the first section of the level, when fighting off the German attack with the Hotchkiss 1909, you will be killed by artillery. When defending the inside of the Church, you will be scorched by an invisible Flametrooper. During the counterattack, you will (Again.) be killed by artillery.
These are all of the things that I can remember seeing in this video as of now, if there's any more, I'll add them in an edit. This took way too long to type out.

When I first saw this 5 years ago I felt sad, seeing the people you play as die and they were of many ages. Some weren't even 20 years of age and some were 18. This hit me in the feels. Something BFV lacked completely except the last tiger dlc. Ut even then, bfv stories are nothing compared to this game.

This opening was by far the best mission in the game and the only bad part was it was only 10-15 minutes long. I remember when it first came out and I played it I was hoping there were more missions like it. If they made the entire campaign based around this I would not have complaints, maybe if they added US marines or British or even a German perspective but still in the same aesthetic of this front line, western front, trench combat. Thank you for still giving this amazing game attention 5 years after its release 👍🏻
