You would be surprised at the length and depth of Shakespeares range waxing colloquial one moment and base common the next. His gift to sincerely impart honest qualities, virtues, and vices on the men and women of his plays. His understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of human nature, our struggles with each other and with ourselves was inspired. 500 years later and these characters are as real and sincere today as when first penned.
      Extraordinary.

In those days, critics wrote that they were impressed by Brando's "reading" of Mark Anthony. "Reading?" Brando was acting.

Always loved Brando from Godfather I, but as soon as I watched APOCALYPSE NOW, he truly is the best actor of all time in my opinion. Well...maybe Nicholson, but yeah that's the beauty of film.

By reading is meant portrayal. Each actor brings his own approach.
