Not the most well-produced video, but wizardofodds is THE BEST gambling site on the internet. I even saw a pit boss recommend it to a particularly bad player once.
He's not saying the Wizard's Simple Strategy is better than Basic Strategy - just easier to remember. As a dealer, you've probably got a lot of good stories about crazy players with no idea what they're doing. The Simply Strategy will at least make the player fairly respectable at the table! From there, they can work to refine it to knowing the basic strategy. Also - surrendering works to maximize your bankroll!

Have you ever read playing blackjack as a business? In that book there is a chart players gain or loss by drawing on hard 12-17 A-6 A-7 A-8 A-9 when dealer stands on soft 17. There should be a chart for when dealer hits soft 17 the gain or loss.
Soft is with an ace, meaning you can take the ace as 1 if needs be, hard is if the ace is already hard set to 1 or you have no ace. A3 is soft and K 4 is hard.
It means this....Think of an Ace and 6 as "soft" 17, because the ace can have a value of 1 or 11. A hard seventeen would be a face card or ten and a 7. Anything "soft" has an ace counting as 11.
The BEST strategy to hv is to AVOID playing Blackjack, Where the bettor draws cards, get a bust, n losses his/her bet WITHOUT the card dealer/house having to draw cards to face off/compare with the bettor's hand; n if the bettor's hand/card total is NOT bust, the card dealer/house has a SECOND chance/advantage of drawing cards to "fight" against the bettor's total hand. This DOUBLE ADVANTAGE over the bettor gives the card dealer/house the GREATEST!! odds of WINNING!

Greetings Card Counters! I have been a student, teacher, researcher, tester and player of the game of 21 for years. Here is my question, and point. What seat should you take at the table? The decision is not the end all of whether you will win or lose, but it does have some advantages if you count cards. The first seat or "first base" is optimal for a card counter. Why is this? Because the next card out is closest to the running count and when you make the decision to bet up or down.
Thanks for the videos. *Is the strategy still the same if the dealer only draw 1 face card? I play Blackjack in Macau and the dealer only draw 1 face card. The dealer doesn't draw the faced-down card, he draws he second card and the rest after all the players have played their hands.
Why would you double down on 11 or 10 when the dealer shows a face card? That girl got super lucky getting a face card. The real rule of thumb with doubling is only when the dealer has a 8 or less because if dealer pulls up a 10 on a 8 then he has to stop at a 18.
Hi, Why is your Basic Strategy charts different from Edward's Thorp "Beat the Dealer" book where for instance on the HARD STANDING numbers of 14 , 15 , 16 he recommends to HIT always ( 2 exceptions against a 10 ) and your charts recommend to STAND with those hands agasint dealer's 2 through 6 ? I am usually card counting at the blackjack table. Other players get jealous at seeing my stack of chips because they don't know what the fuck I am doing.
For example (in basic strategy): 1.) You DO hit a 12 verses 2 and 3, but not 4,5,6 (some might want to consider staying on 12 verses 2 and 3 if they have 3 or more cards making their 12 as this increases the chance of a high card coming out. 2.) Do NOT double a 9 against a 2 as many cards work with 2's (even a 3 is risky, but not a bad double). 3.) You SPLIT 9's against an 8. Don't take the push. More 10's than anything. Try to win them both. Even if u get one 19 and one shit hand, u push anyway
Mike says you never split fours, fives or faces. However, just now I was playing at Wizard of Vegas and I was dealt two fours and the dealer was showing a six. I elected to hit and was told that I should split......care to explain Mike?
Basic strategy changes as the rules of the game change. If you can double down after splitting, split 4s against 5 or 6. If you cannot double after split, never split fours. Also, unless if you are counting cards, never ever split fives or faces.
soft is a hand with an ace and something else, you cannot bust a hand with an ace. 9 and ace is eeither a 10 or 20, therefore is a soft hand. hard hand means it doesn´t have an ace in it, a hard ace needs to have both cards to complete 8 for example.
Dude. Thanks for the video. But why dont you give us 10 to 15 play hands/examples without the Dame. Then after we can see your strategy being implemented a number of times... then you can bring her in. She is distracting and sometimes I can hear her when she speaks.
you wanna win at blackjack. stay on 12 and above everytime. my theory in blackjack " you can't win if you don't have cards". these experts say to hit against a dealer facecard showing you have to assume the dealer has 20. well if you hit 12 and get to 19 you have to hit 19 they say stay. why? if your assuming the dealer has 20 you gotta hit 19. stay on 12 and higher and you'll be better off.
dude he already analyzed that strategy on his website its called the "never bust" strategy and it gives the house a horrendous edge! do not do it or expect to lose.
Bruh, who said anything about assuming the dealer has a 10 hole card? Also, are you seriously going to count on the dealer busting to win if the chance of his busting is only 25%? No wonder casinos make so much money.
because you’re better off with 2 hands of 8+X than 1 hand of 16. 16 is the worst hand you can possibly be dealt and it’s worth doubling your bet to escape the situation.
+JMNYC84 This is exactly the kind of mentality you shouldn't get when you're playing blackjack. If you're so focused on the instant result, you're gonna have a hard time. You may have split those 3s, and won this one, but what about the others 3s ? Long term results show that it's not recommended to split because you'll be losing more money.
Every teacher should have students like her....

I am usually card counting at the blackjack table. Other players get jealous at seeing my stack of chips because they don't know what the fuck I am doing.
this dudes smart he master the game now he master of dame's
ever had a hand so bad its arthritic?! XD LOL
what does hard and soft mean?
Hi very nice casino game.s
Goo bless you end have a nice day
For example (in basic strategy): 1.) You DO hit a 12 verses 2 and 3, but not 4,5,6 (some might want to consider staying on 12 verses 2 and 3 if they have 3 or more cards making their 12 as this increases the chance of a high card coming out. 2.) Do NOT double a 9 against a 2 as many cards work with 2's (even a 3 is risky, but not a bad double). 3.) You SPLIT 9's against an 8. Don't take the push. More 10's than anything. Try to win them both. Even if u get one 19 and one shit hand, u push anyway
why is there no keys for soft 12?
Mike says you never split fours, fives or faces. However, just now I was playing at Wizard of Vegas and I was dealt two fours and the dealer was showing a six.
I elected to hit and was told that I should split......care to explain Mike?
Basic strategy changes as the rules of the game change. If you can double down after splitting, split 4s against 5 or 6. If you cannot double after split, never split fours. Also, unless if you are counting cards, never ever split fives or faces.
Good video overall! some good advice!
Me personally though, I would split the 5's if the dealer shows a 5 or less. Just me...
Lol I'd just double the bet but best of luck too you at the tables
Can someone suggest an online blackjack game where we can practice and not get smoked with adds.
2" 3, 6, 7, 9 . . . gotta remember that !
Paul Suprono his strategy is wrong. 9s split against an 8 and 9 also.
soft is a hand with an ace and something else, you cannot bust a hand with an ace. 9 and ace is eeither a 10 or 20, therefore is a soft hand. hard hand means it doesn´t have an ace in it, a hard ace needs to have both cards to complete 8 for example.
I don't know why but for some reason you remind me of Steve Carrel.
Probably Jan Levinson Goold sitting beside him.
Was thinking same thing
Dude. Thanks for the video. But why dont you give us 10 to 15 play hands/examples without the Dame.
Then after we can see your strategy being implemented a number of times... then you can bring her in. She is distracting and sometimes I can hear her when she speaks.
Hit 16 if dealer showes big card?
Yes, because the probability that the dealer busts is less than 25%. You will survive busting from 16 about 40% of the time.
I wish that she could teach me how to play Blackjack or any other game!
you wanna win at blackjack. stay on 12 and above everytime. my theory in blackjack " you can't win if you don't have cards". these experts say to hit against a dealer facecard showing you have to assume the dealer has 20. well if you hit 12 and get to 19 you have to hit 19 they say stay. why? if your assuming the dealer has 20 you gotta hit 19. stay on 12 and higher and you'll be better off.
dude he already analyzed that strategy on his website its called the "never bust" strategy and it gives the house a horrendous edge! do not do it or expect to lose.
Bruh, who said anything about assuming the dealer has a 10 hole card? Also, are you seriously going to count on the dealer busting to win if the chance of his busting is only 25%? No wonder casinos make so much money.
why do you always split 8's and not 9s? when im playing at the casino i am iffy about splitting 8s to a 9/10/A..
because you’re better off with 2 hands of 8+X than 1 hand of 16. 16 is the worst hand you can possibly be dealt and it’s worth doubling your bet to escape the situation.
If the girl to your left was the dealer I wouldn't mind busting! lol
If she split the last 3s in the last hand, instead of busting she would have gotten a 20.
What's a hard 10?
