Wallace And Gromit - The Wrong Trousers 1993 music by Julian Nott ~ original film music extracted from the movie. No tracklist. #WallaceAndGromitFilmScores soundtrack
While Feathers McGraw is undoubtedly a creepy character design, Julian Nott's ominous music for him really goes the extra mile in making him utterly unsettling. With that music, anything dark could be on his mind, from theft to cold blooded murder...
And then you realize he's a penguin wearing a glove on his head
Dude as a kid, this Wallace & Gromit short freaked me out with his scenes.
So
Yes.
@@clintgolub1751 so was A Close Shave
Julian Nott made us proud for bringing Wallace And Gromit to life with his music score.
3:37 along with the gromit leaves homes that part is very emotional 😢
I just love Wallace and Gromit.
Agree
I’ve always loved the tone on this score, from happiness to dark, ominous, the score is excellent, Bravo to Julian Nott!
The music for "The Wrong Trousers" was rearranged by Belinda Carlisle.
0:30 - 0:48 is my favorite part. I wish there was a one hour loop
It's called, wallace and gromit breakfast rag you can search that for an extended version
14:36 is the train chase, in case anyone’s wondering where this music is
thanks
This is really a banger
I honestly think this version of the Wallace and gromit theme tune is the best, just something about it sounds amazing and nice
It's like a good level of cartoon goofiness and dark epic music... Fascinating
15:55, "GET HIM GROMIT!!!"
3:34, This is emotional, I feel like I'll cry myself.
8:48, This is getting scary and intense.
3:34: This music makes me cry ngl
After watching "The Hungry Caterpillar" once more with my son, I searched "Julian Nott". I enver knew he scored this classic as well. I was a big fan of WnG back in the day, even taping the two first movies on VHS and watching them to death. Pretty happy to hear the music once more.
14:38 train chase is the best part of the short
Probably the best chase scene I've ever seen in anything
@@bagggers9796agreed
@@bagggers9796 and the music accompanies it perfectly in every part
I swear to god, that morning theme plays in my head every day. Life is good lol 😀
In the morning.
Eather go back to bed with your dreams
Or
Wake up, get up and chase your dreams
2:20 It’s no use prevaricating about the bush.
Now that's a quality extract, nice job!
So glad to hear you say that Trevor. Thank you. Cheers!
Did they ever release Julian Nott's Score for "The Wrong Trousers" or "A Close Shave" Commercially, or is pulling it from the film as close as we will ever get? I would be fantastic to have an Intrada Records or LaLa Land Records treatment for them both taken from the original masters...
I'd say that the audio is extracted straight from the film, as you can hear some sfx from the film like a door shutting or the trousers taking a step.
@@johncarcher It's extracted from the 5.1 Blu-ray audio track. That's why most of the voices and SFX are not there.
The rumour I've previously read is that when Aardman had a big warehouse fire and they lost a lost of their history, that the original audio reels were contained there too. It's not confirmed, but it makes sense. There would absolutely be a market for a limited edition physical release of the W&G scores by Julian Nott.
@@TheFoolishNutter That would be an absolute travesty if all of Nott's original Master Tapes for the W&G scores were destroyed in that fire. All three complete cinematic scores would be highly sought-after if released.
I suppose they could re-record them all using the original score materials and notes, similar to how John Berry's lost score for "Raise The Titanic" was done. That one is not perfect, but if the right care was taken, they could recapture the magic of those scores.
Hearing this soundtrack brings back so many memories, I watched this film so much as a kid. Thank you!
You're very welcome Annie.
You can’t not deny that you love this but maybe not your favorite but it’s mine
3:34 - Reminds me of the day the Aardman warehouse burned down.
By accident.
Some of their props survived.
It's alright. They built a new one.
This film is sssssooooo awsome

Thanks Karen. Glad you liked it. Cheers!
i want to know where to find the radio music that feathers changes to from the classical music (it's catchy and does not sound like something that will get a copyright claim)
Bach Brandenburg concerto No.4 movement 1
I'm curious what your process is, and why occasionally sound effects or dialogue pops in?
I extracted the music, using an audio editor, from a 6-channel multi-track digital copy of the movie. I muted the main dialogue track, however some sound effects and some dialogue were embedded onto the music tracks and could not be separated and removed. I won't say that there is no such thing as an absolutely "isolated" music track on multi-channel DVDs but it's extremely rare.
@@fishman3786 That's fascinating, honestly. Does the embedding of sound effects and the like happen by choice from the sound editor, or is it simply a by-product of how the movie was saved?
Also, what's the.. "point"? As far as I know, an official soundtrack was released. (still absolutely appreciate the work, however)
The sound effects, dialogue and music are placed on the six tracks of a surround sound movie by the Sound Department. They occasionally overlap each other in order to create spatial depth in the sound design. It has nothing to do with me or my audio editor.
As far as I know a soundtrack was never released for this movie. At least not one with the entire Julian Nott score.
@@fishman3786 When you say spatial depth, do you mean like left/right balance?
Gotchu gotchu!
@@OfficialMaxBox In a 6 channel surround sound recording the music is generally on all 6 speakers to make it stereo and to give it depth.
The sound effects and some dialogue will move around on all of the speakers depending on what's going on in the movie.
So to summarize the answer to your original question as to why some sound effects and some dialogue keep popping up in the extracted music from the film:
When you place the audio of a 6 Channel movie into an audio editor it will show up as 6 separate tracks.
The music is mostly isolated on tracks 1 and 2 (front speakers stereo).
The dialogue, music and sound effects are on track 3 (Center Channel mono). The center channel track can be muted which will effectively remove most of the dialogue from your music extraction.
Track 4 is for subwoofer Bass.
Tracks 5 and 6 are your rear speakers for depth and spatial quality.
Occasionally some dialogue and sound effects will appear on tracks 1 and 2 (front speakers) and tracks 5 and 6 (rear speakers) depending on the movements of the characters and objects on the screen.
After you have completed deleting the spaces between the segments of music it's time to mix down tracks 1,2,4,5 and 6 to a 2-channel stereo recording which will be uploaded to UA-cam. ( track 3 Center Channel "dialogue" has been muted and will not be included in the mix down).
However some dialogue and sound effects will be included in the mix down because they occasionally appear on the other tracks due to surround sound attempt to achieve depth and spatial quality.
Hope that answers your question.

Did you make one for A Close Shave and Curse of The Were-Rabbit?
A Close Shave- yes. Curse of The Were-Rabbit- no.
Were-Rabbit got a proper commercial release, which wasn’t the case for the half-hour films.
What’s the title of the song at 1:50?
That is the theme of The Techno-Trousers
Hey, this and your Close Shave and Grand Day Out rips are great! Is it possible for you to do one for A Matter of Loaf and Death as well?
I'll see what I can do for you. That one is a pretty tough edit. Will probably take a few days to complete.
@@fishman3786 thanks.

@Toontastic SpongeBob SquarePants Again, try using your search bar. If you type in A Close Shave soundtrack my video is the first one that comes up.
@Toontastic SpongeBob SquarePants What is it exactly that you are asking me for. Could you be more specific other than just "what about A Close Shave". Are you asking me for the link to my soundtrack video for A Close Shave. If so, as I said, all you have to do is type in "A Close Shave soundtrack" into the search bar and my video for A Close Shave soundtrack will come up.
Question: How did you rip the dvd? I thought that was illegal
This is not a DVD rip. It's just the music that has been extracted from the film. And this music is not copyright protected according to UA-cam's copyright check algorithm. Hope that answers your question. Cheers.
@@fishman3786 oh ok. But how did you get the music extracted?
I extract the music from movies and TV episodes using Audacity audio editor. Each movie takes about 4 to 5 hours of editing and mixing to complete. Each word, door slam, twig snap etc. has to be manually cut out one at a time. Then I apply various audio filters to the sections of music that are left over and then remix them so that they flow as smoothly as possible. It's very meticulous work but I actually find it relaxing. Hope that answers your question.. Cheers!
@@fishman3786 that’s cool! You should make a tutorial for it someday!

The Music at 1:41 - 2:38 does it have a specific name?
That's the theme of The Techno Trousers.
Why does there have to be sound effects mixed in?
As far as I know an official soundtrack for this movie was never released. I extracted and compiled this music directly from the movie. I did the best I could to remove the dialog but since there was no isolated music track the sound effects that were on top of the music could not be removed.
