  • In this video, i’m going to show you how to cut out a complex object in Photopea, and apply it to a new background! We will cover a potentially difficult extraction here - in this example, a cat that has a very soft furry edge, making most normal methods of cutting out almost impossible. This is where the refine edge tool comes in to its own!
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    I also use:
    Topaz Gigapixel - amazing software for upscaling to much higher resolutions without sacrificing quality. It's a perfect partner to Photopea in my opinion. Check it out here:

      Thank you! I love that it's a photo from someone watching the channel 😀 I was scrolling through unsplash at the time for some inspiration, and as soon as I saw that image I thought it was perfect! a beautiful cat with lots of soft fur to show the technique 😻 Thank you for creating the great photo in the first place.

    I really really love your voice and all the photopea tutorial. The way you explain really nice and make me easily understand. By learning photopea also means learning photoshop as well. LOVE from INDIA

      Thank you for your very kind words! I'm really glad you enjoy the videos. And you are right - Photopea is quite close to Photoshop - so if you learn one, you can pretty much learn the other!

    Hi Gareth, appreciate the videos, just learning to use photopea and came across this great video
    Just a question if you don't mind, can you advise how is best to crop a dogs/cats/person head using photo pea, presumably using this method but i guess you'd have to do something at the beginning first?
    I have attempted and made progress but not as refined as i'd like it to be, and rather not use AI tools to do it for me if I can learn to do it myself! Thank you!

    Do you know how i can maximise the workspace area? For some reason the menu on the right is almost in the middle of my screen and everything to the right of it is just greyed out making my workspace tiny. Thanks.

    Actually, my question is not related to this video: Do you know how it's possible to prepare a definition style file for a printable (ex. Female [transciprion] definition). Where can I find transcription signs in Photopea? thanks in advance

    Thanks - this is very useful. In my case I often have photos of winter scenes with washed out skies that need a little spicing up and sometimes replacement. The usual problem is the trees which have many sections of sky that are completely enclosed by the branches of the tree. I want to modify all the sky including the isolated sections which are too many to handle individually. Do have any tips and recommendations for how to handle this?

    • @photopeapro
      @photopeapro  2 роки тому +1

      Very good question John! This can be a really tricky situation, as often there is no way of cleanly selecting all of the gaps and details in the trees, especially if they are smaller in the shot or not tack sharp. I do have a kind of workaround I came up with a while ago which may help - it's not perfect, but it could definitely help in certain scenarios. It would be tricky to explain on here, but I think it would help others, so I'll make a video soon explaining it. So keep a look out! 🙂
