It's worth noting, at the start, I say I've never heard them before. Turns out, I was wrong. I checked them out roughly 4 years ago... I've just covered so much in that time that I forgot.
Have watched it, that reaction was even on my TODO list! It was done almost 5 years ago, just days before they had 11 shows in 13 days in November 2019 together with "DragonForce" in the UK. Footage from that tour were used in the OMV to the single "Golden Destination", a song from their third album. Oh yes, those were the days. So much has happened since then!
Subscribed. LOVEBITES is awesome. How about another reaction to BABYMETAL. 🦊 🖖❤ Babymetal - Kagerou (Legend MM 2024 Live) Eng Subs Babymetal - Metal Kingdom (PIA Arena 2023 Live) Eng Subs
Miho quit right after the Covid problem. She never explained why, Fami was a fairly well loved UA-cam Bassist. They had a world wide audition to pick Miho's replacement and Fami was selected. You definitely need to check out Destrose. All the past members went on to form other bands.
Most of the songwriting was done by Miyako. And they got their contact right away because Midori was a Session Musican already with a contract. Prior to 2010 no record labels were Interested in Female bands they thought there was mo market. The Aldious formed on 2008 and formed their own label and had a long string of indie hits which left all the big labels scrambling for top Female Artists. Aldious became the model that they all tried to copy. You got to check out Aldious.. these Ladies have 9 Billboard top 100 albums and not a single bad or even mediocre songs.

@@whirled_peace ok... I talk about the lyrics to the song in the video... There's no real need for this, but I understand what you were trying to do. It's cool.
@@MetalHeadReacts 🐺 I post lyrics & credits on most all LOVEBITES videos, not just for reactors but for any & all viewers of their songs. Some want to read them rather than have to re-view a video to review the lyrics again. I posted them on the video you watched, but now obscured by 1,654 other comments 😉
well you just scratched the surface of an amazing rollercoaster that is lovebites and yes you will watch them live 90% of the time if you choose to continue - you should!!!! absolute elite songwriting and musicianship - not to mention the very pleasing personas of the band !!!
Miyako, the black haired guitarist playing the Dean ML was between 4 and 5 months pregnant when this video was recorded. She played several other 2 hour concerts around the same time.
Thanks for reacting to mind-blowing Lovebites. These Japanese women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. Their live performances are outstanding. Somebody commented that actually this is your second reaction to Lovebites, the first one was 4 years ago (Shadowmaker). So let’s see what’s next.
there is NOTHING missing in the live performances by these metal goddesses. in most cases they are just as good or better than the studio versions. best live band i've heard in many years. of course it doesn't hurt that they are ridiculously talented but the work required to do this live is undeniably present. LOVEBITES are phenomenal. and easy on the eyes !
Also the arrangements (especially for the intros for some of their songs) sometimes are different from the studio version what gives them that certain something IMO. Also I like the production of some of their live versions even better than the studio, especially on Asami’s vocals …
You won't find anything evil or bad or even negative in Lovebites songs/lyrics. They usually sing about being positive, overcoming obstacles, and raising your self-esteem.
5 decades of listening to metal and these ladies have passed all my favs - easily. They are elite in all aspects. Their 2 guitarists (Midori & Miyako) are among the best duos ever. Trust me, you ain't seen nothing yet.
I've been enjoying live Metal in many forms since I first saw Sabbath back in 76 and Lovebites are the best I've seen this century. Incredible musicianship from every band member, amazing vocals, great composition and lyrics (and they even sing in English). Miyako on right hand guitar is a virtuoso pianist too and works things like a Chopin etude into one song (Swan Song). Japanese female bands are making all the best Metal and Rock on Earth right now - Lovebites, Band-Maid, Babymetal, Nemophila, Hanabie to name a few.
And even though you've only seen one song, if you continue reacting to more songs live, you'll start to say that it's one of the best bands you've ever heard. They never disappoint. Ty.
Their recorded live performances are generally around 2 hours, 1.5 hours when they did their world tour through Europe/UK, Korea, USA this year. And there are not many opportunity for Haruna to rest, but do the double bass for 2 hours without losing a sweat... little BIG Engine
Thanks for checking out my favorite band! I have the same view toward studio tracks verses live versions. However with LOVEBITES the live versions are almost always better than the studio, they are that good. And it is mesmerizing watching these beautiful ladies play. Hope you rock out to more of their great music. 🤘🐺🤘
I am 72 years old and younger I have seen all the great metal bands on stage and none have ever given me as much pleasure and emotions as these young ladies and I consider them the best band and the best twin guitars in the history of metal. But that's just my opinion...
Hello mate. I felt exactly the same way about live shows till I saw these ladies a few years ago. They are my favorite band since then. They are amazing. Check out their work. They have plenty of live songs to react but also official videos. They released a new EP on August 28 you should watch. Thay combine power, heavy, speed and thrash metal in their own unique way.
Lovebites ( in common with most Japanese bands ) are BETTER live than in the studio . It's a testament to the skill and musicality of these bands that they don't have to rely on studio tricks to produce brilliant performances . As well as being immensely talented they are also extremely versatile - everything isn't crash , bang ,wallop by any means so please don't think that they are a one trick " power metal pony " - they're not ! And they're well worth a deeper dive - I can guarantee you won't be disappointed ( or bored ! )
Haruna the drummer has already had a 12 year career as a heavy metal drummer in her younger years. She started in 2012 in the legendary heavy metal band DESTROSE and has been constantly improving and developing ever since. Haruna is also the founder of LOVEBITES with ex-bassist Miho. You can admire the end product of the development and power of the drummer, who is only 1.47 cm tall, in the live song “Soldier Stands Solitarily”. A reaction video from you would be great ...🤘😎🤘
Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest. They also played their first US shows this year in September. In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs. The band members of LOVEBITES are (including their official nicknames) Asami on vocals (the one and only voice): She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch): She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd Midori on guitars (crazy shredder): Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete Haruna on drums (little big engine): Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers): Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger): We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3
Great reaction and welcome (back) to the realm of the Wolfpack (Lovebites fans from around the world) ! "Set the World on Fire" is a thrash track with a gallop. These amazing ladies are not just about power metal, they play a seamless and innovative blend of speed-power/thrash/prog/neoclassical metal/heavy rock/power ballads which makes their sound unique and contemporary. As you have just witnessed, this band is phenomenal LIVE ! I agree that for many bands, their LIVE performances are not on par with their studio tracks. However, for Lovebites and from my perspective, most of their LIVE performances are better than their studio songs. That's how talented and technically-capable this band is. Here's another face-melter - "Soldier Stands Solitarily" LIVE from their official YT channel
In terms of pure musicianship, LOVEBITES are one of the top three most talented metal bands on the planet, along with Dream Theater and Symphony-X. They are only two other bands I'm aware of that have the talent in their band to play the entire LOVEBITES disography. For those of us who love the classic metal sound from the 1980s and early 1990s, LOVEBITES are the best thing that has ever happened to our ears.
Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack 🐺 Lovebites fans around the world, will be along to give you information and recommendations. Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the bassist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string) The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE. Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bacchus Bass. Recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. If you enjoyed this song, here are a few recommendations for further listening; Holy War, Break The Wall, Soldier Stand Solitary, Golden Destination (there is a video that has footage from their 2019 tour of the UK with Dragon Force, including Herman Li as the 'missing sixth member of Lovebites' wearing a white dress) Thunder Vengeance, M.D.O., Scream For Me (live from 'Daughters of the Dawn' "OK Haruna, Give me the beat") For a masterclass in syncronised guitar shredding. Winds of Transylvania (written for a Japanese Anime series VLADLOVE) Frozen Serenade, Swan Song, with the Chopin piano introduction played by Miyako, Edge of the World, Epilogue. There are many more I could suggest, but this should give you an idea of their range. The Wolfpack will have more suggestions. I would suggest watching live performances wherever possible. The ladies really shine on stage. I saw Lovebites live in London twice during their recent European tour. I have been a fan of Rock and Metal music right from the beginning seeing bands bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Iron Maiden when they were 'new', Lovebites are amongst the best I have ever seen 🤘🐺
@@MetalHeadReacts You are welcome my friend. I was late to the stream so I didn't join the chat, but I agree with so much of what you had say about metal. In my experience metalheads are some of the friendliest nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Keep spreading the word. 🤘
LOVEBITES "is eventually complete when played live". They have some pretty good OMVs but live is the real deal. They have 6 main live albums (2019 - 2024, 2CD/DVD/Blu-ray, another one in the works).
@@GrayFox14 That's why I wrote 6 "main live albums", you've probably counted "Invitation To The Theater" and "Battle In The East", but there's also "Crusaders Standing At Wacken" (you've mentioned it) , so it's not easy to count. I meant 2019 - Daughters Of The Dawn 2020 - Five Of A Kind 2021 - Heavy Metal Never Dies 2023 - Knockin' At Heaven's Gate 2023 - Knockin' At Heaven's Gate - Part II 2024 - Memorial For The Warrior Souls 2025(?) - TGT performance 2026(?) - Eternal/Zepp Tokyo performance
@@rainerzufall42 Yes, I count all the live releases. Because they are full-length concerts (in terms of number of songs): 2CD ('Invitation to the Theater - Live in Tokyo') and DVD/Blu-ray ('Battle in the East', 'Awake Again - Live from Abyss').
This was a phenomenal metal band. Serious talented musicians that play hard fast metal music in happy vibes. Contras look by their dress in first look 🤣. they really love to play live. Dig more bro, theres a lot to talk about them 👍🤘🔥
@@rainerzufall42 it goes have more of a thrashy/speed metal feel to it, but there are those power metal undertones... So if this is their LEAST power metal track... I'm in for a treat as I delve deeper it seems.
@@MetalHeadReacts Yes, indeed, it's LOVEBITES' "thing" to blend several styles together with their "signature sound" (and performance like the "solo-solo-harmonized dual solo" thing, most recently plus some bass stuff with new bassist Fami)... They remind people of 80s/90s stuff or specific Maiden/Priest/Metallica/Motörhead/Helloween/Sabaton/etc. vibes, but revived and fresh. You can always expect new surprises, it's a huge playing field. And after 60+ songs they still have no miss!
@@MetalHeadReacts Yeah this was more on the thrash side. Most of their other songs are more on the power metal side. FYI - Asami always uses clean vocals, you won't find any anger or aggressive harsh vocals in Lovebites songs.
Great reaction ! I'm glad you discover the Lovebites; they will surprise you yet! Let me suggest you some songs I'm sure you enjoy: "Soldier stands solitarily" (LIVE 2023), maybe the greatest liveperformance of the band "Break the wall" (LIVE 2020), the most brutal thrash/speed metal song of the band "Judgement day" OMV 2023, title-track of the latest album, epic power metal with insane guitar solos "THe hammer of wrath"" (LIVE 2023), epic singing with drums in great evidence "Holy war" (2020), their most classic performance and the most known song on the net "Stand and deliver" OMV 2023, funny song that shows a different side of the band "Shadowmaker" OMV 2017, the first great success of the band, with wonderful guitar solos "We are the resurrection" (LIVE 2023, released a few weeks ago on their channel), memorable epic and fast power metal "Soul defender" OMV 2024, the latest song published a few days ago. "Frozen serenade" (LIVE 2021), emotional power ballad that shows the multi-instrumental skills of the band. "Edge of the world" (LIVE 2023), another superb ballad with an intense guitar solo by Miyako "Unchained" OMV 2024, one of the latest release of the band "Scream for me" (LIVE 2019) 14 guitar solos!!! "When destinies allign" OMV 2020, with crazy guitar solos and double guitar solo "The crusade" OMV 2017, a tribute to Iron Maiden "Empty daydream" (LIVE 2019), with great instrumental interlude These are just examples to begin, the Lovebites discography containes about 60 songs, and there isn't a bad song. Other considerations to answer to your doubts: The Lovebites aren't tied to specific genre of metal: their influences are Iron Maiden, Slayer, first Metallica, Helloween, Judas Priest and others... As a rule, this band works in Live performance better than in studio recorded You can find all their material on their channel YT After "Judgment day", they have released in august 2024 a new EP (EP II) with new original five songs. Three of them are very thrash and speed The Lovebites formed in 2016 and have published 4 LP and 3 EP. The members are: ASAMI, singer, composer and Lyrics maker, called "The one and unique voice" HARUNA, drummer and founder of the group, an authentic drum-machine, called "little big engine" MIDORI, guitarist (the blonde) and composer, called "crazy shredder" MIYAKO, guitarist (the dark haired), pianist, main composer, the genius of the group, called "golden touch" FAMI, bass player, the youngest and very talented, called "shining fingers" Fami joined the band in 2022, after the former bassist MIHO (great bass player she also) left the band for personal reasons. I hope my informations are useful for you, and good trip in the amazing Lovebites' world
With Lovebites, most of the live videos you see on YT were filmed and professionally mixed for DVD/BluRay releases. Mixed by the same people who do their studio albums, so the audio quality is nearly equal to the studio recordings.
Generally their live performances are more fun than the videos. And they tend to have high sound quality. There are exceptions. * The Shadowmaker MV is totally fantastic. * The Judgement Day MV is very good. * The Stand and Deliver MV is fun (but is best appreciated if you are a fan and understand better what they do). But it is musically good also.
he reacted to MV Shadowmaker on October 28, 2019. most likely it's not his music. because he forgot about this reaction and hasn't shown interest in Lovebites for 5 years
Thanks for the reaction. There are 3 all-female bands with the same name : 1. LOVEBITES (spelled together,Japan) heavy metal band. 2. LOVE BITES (Japan) punk band. 3. LOVE BITES (UK) punk band. Structurally, 'Set the World on Fire' (drums, bass, guitars) is thrash metal. With beautiful female vocals and melodic backing vocals. LOVEBITES play speed, thrash, neoclassical, power, progressive metal. Some of the band's songs have elements of symphonic metal. Several songs are closer to hard rock (hard and heavy). The ladies often mix different genres in their songs (for example, the beginning is symphonic, and then comes thrash, speed&thrash). Several LOVEBITES releases have reached #1 in the Japanese Charts , but this is not reflected in Wikipedia (Wikipedia, unfortunately, contains errors) The song 'Set the World on Fire' from the Album 'Electric Pentagram' (2020). The concept of the Album is the revival and protection of heavy metal. The Pentagram is a protective amulet based on the traditional Eastern (China, Japan, Korea, etc.) philosophy (System of Five Elements), of which our World (Universe) consists.
congratulations, you have just discovered the best band on the planet ! 😀 metal + grace + elegance + beauty + sympathy + great musicians + great songs = LOVEBITES !!!
Here is a little bit more background on Lovebites. In the summer of 2015, the all female Japanese metal band Destrose played their final show. Miho, the bassist for Destrose, wanted to form a band with the DNA of 80s metal. In other words, Lovebites is very much a part of the NWOTHM movement and should be considered one of the leading bands. Miho first contacted Haruna, a former drummer of Destrose who had left the band in 2014. Midori was added as a guitarist, as was Miyako. The only one of the four to have any extensive in composing was Miyako, but she had not yet agreed to become a permanent member. Because of the lack of songwriting experience of the other three, it was decided by Miho, the producer, or both to bring in someone to assist with composing songs. The person brought in was Mao, the keyboardist/composer of the power metal band Light Bringer which had gone on indefinite hiatus at the end of 2014. Asami, the vocalist, was the only one that became part of the band through an audition process, since the four instrumentalists already knew each other. In composing the music, Miho, Asami and Midori worked with Mao, while Miyako (who agreed to become a permanent member in August, 2017) composes alone, with only a few exceptions. Generally speaking, half of the Lovebites catalog has been composed by Miyako while the other half has been a combination of Mao, Mao/Miho, Mao/Asami and Mao/Midori. Lyrics to the songs were written by either Miho or Asami. I think the biggest hole created by Miho's departure was her lyrics. Miho could get very, very dark with her lyrics while Asami leans much more to the light side. That lyrical balance left with Miho. Fami, Miho's replacement at bass, is probably a technically better bassist than Miho. There will never likely be harsh vocals in Lovebites music, but other than that, Lovebites has the talent to play any type of metal, including Prog, and play it very, very well.
I suggest to forget about "warning" (small letters), better to listen and view the LOVEBITES. They are much more then HEAVY METAL. They are EVERYTHING.
Your comments would be better without the negativity about other bands. Not needed & most of these musicians are FRIENDS with each other! LOVEBITES never 'put down' other bands or musicians, they all support each other.
@@dregeyeDo you know what the word FRIENDS really mean? I do not think you really understand. It is almost as FAMILY. Bands are opponents to each other.
All of Lovebites songs except for an early version of I think Bravehearted is in English. But because of Asami's accent, she can be hard to understand at times. But to be fair, I don't understand English an American groups half the time either.
Here's the funny thing. When she's talking, Asami's English is nearly impeccable; IIRC, she spent a fair amount of time in Hawaii in high school as a foreign exchange student. Additionally, Midori's English is excellent as well. Both of them speak very clear English.
@@boki1693 and James Brown is the opposite of that. You can nearly understand what he says when he talks.. yet when he sings not even James knows what he's saying!

They break that stereotype of Live Music is not as good....proof is in what you just saw! Thanks for the Reaction!! Pack Rule!
Greetings. Thanks for your return to LOVEBITES. First I'd like to say about their lyrics, "Set The World On Fire" has some of their most 'cryptic'. LOVEBITES How sad with great Respect and honour to Miho. Her father always took her to this venue as a kid this was Lovebites first time playing here and Mihas father was supposed to attend but he sadly passed away before the show not sure if Miho wrote this song for her dad, so sad with a little cry at the end. Even Asami felt the sadness. LOVEBITES【Journey To The Other side】[Daughters of the Dawn - Live in Tokyo 2019] ua-cam.com/video/WzAAT7vgKg8/v-deo.html
Congratulations on discovering Lovebites. Opinions may differ, but I think in their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they waited out the pandemic and searched for a new bassist, after their founder and original bassist left the band for personal reasons. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. They did their first live performances in more than two years in summer of 2023, with their new bassist Fami. Their very first show was commemorated on the DVD “Knocking on Heaven’s Gate”. They have posted four performances from that DVD: ”Hammer of Wrath” ua-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/v-deo.html “Judgement Day” ua-cam.com/video/yYEUGlFNBKc/v-deo.html “Nameless Warrior” ua-cam.com/video/Dl29tiJCbNM/v-deo.html and “Liar” ua-cam.com/video/YWHPfnJz2qk/v-deo.html All of them are barn-burners. They have also posted: “Stand and Deliver” ua-cam.com/video/cNi-OEjzMdA/v-deo.html “Swan Song” ua-cam.com/video/bK21cuI-V7c/v-deo.html “MDO” ua-cam.com/video/4jhqEGTKoSg/v-deo.html and “We the United” ua-cam.com/video/UnNxvgLI_Rg/v-deo.html
In the case of Lovebites, the live performances are generally better than the studio versions, in part BECAUSE they are thinner. The other production elements are absent, which lets you hear the instruments cleanly. And yes, they are extremely impressive. This clip was part of a two-hour set. Just saying.
If this is power metal, then I guess I really like power metal, Actually Lovebites is one of the few power metal bands that I do like. They have a great recipe for making music, They really are a good mix of many metal genres, including speed-metal and thrash-metal. 🐺🐺🐺

Looking forward to seeing your reaction to some more lovebites, you will be impressed time after time, they are really that good. Saw them in London in July, so I can tell you that as 💯 fact 🤘🎤🥁🎸🎹🐺🇬🇧
This band mainly plays power and thrash but also plays progressive, symphonic, and ballads as well. This band is better in live than studio recording. Sometimes epic part get buried and lost in the mixing at studio recordings. This is an example. The Crusade which is an homage to Aces High by Iron Maiden. Their live shows are certainly better than the studio versions alike my other fav band Nightwish ... So much better live particularly with Floor Jansen as the lead singer
I am not sure what you want. You do not dislike speed metal, but it is not your forte. Still I think you shall look att the fairly new live version of "Soldier stand solitarily". Its 195 BPM and you cannot understan how they can be that fast and have that stamina. They do not have growling. They have some slower stuff that tends to be beautiful power ballads that eventually speeds up. They have some songs where they incorporate classic piano and classic guitar. I am totally sucker for those. Would that be a thing? They have a jazzy sassy song where Asami can show that she really has another background than metal. It is so good. They do some old fun stuff in the Abyss (their former rehearsal studio). They also do a cover of Painkiller. More technical than Judas Priest I would say, but Robert Halford is always Robert Halford. Asami did a not so bad try though. Its actually very good.
Great Livestream! And a Very Good Reaction/Analysis. I'll be checking your content. I mentioned *_Edge of the World_* as a good 'positive message' (the beginning is darker - as a sort of set-up). Two versions available. 2020 with *Miho* the original bassist and founding member . . ua-cam.com/video/Zr99B4RvaMc/v-deo.html. And another video from 2023, with new bass phenom 21 yo *Fami* (22 now) . . ua-cam.com/video/jQKf8Dy_chA/v-deo.html It is amazing to watch them play such complicated and technically challenging music Live on stage. They are always as tight Live as what you heard in this song.
If you do go down the Japanese band rabbit hole or even with The Warning, live is always the first choice. These musicians take an opposite view than most Western music. The album version is just a starting point, something they almost do just to get a song down. In the live shows they will often add more, intros, extended solos, vocal flare and ad libs. Also when you watch performances that are years apart the same song can change noticeably. For me, now, these bands have ruined album versions for me.
About your live videos, teory take the time and watch the song Judgment day video and than the live performance both are on Lovebites chanel, is there any ........?🤘
It's worth noting, at the start, I say I've never heard them before.

LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics & credits:
The blue moon colors the blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and a fearless smile
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell
Distorted madness is sneering
Incompetent, cowardly fools
A pitiful and painful punishment
It’s you who will be sacrificed
ON FIRE
Dressed in an armor of steel
ON FIRE
If I’m burned again and again
I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell
SOLO: midori / miyako / both
The blue moon colors blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and fearless smile
SOLO: miyako
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell

I post lyrics & credits on most all LOVEBITES videos, not just for reactors but for any & all viewers of their songs. Some want to read them rather than have to re-view a video to review the lyrics again. I posted them on the video you watched, but now obscured by 1,654 other comments

@@whirled_peace Legendary! You've managed to post the (translated) lyrics on pretty much every LOVEBITES video! Thanks.
@@whirled_peace You da man!! I like what you do.
@@rainerzufall42right, on every LOVEBITES video there are five ladies on the screen and this guy in the comments.
Congratulations on meeting the queens of heavy metal!!!Wolfpack is here!!!
And Miyako was about 5 months pregnant when they did this performance!
The whole band are amazing, best find I’ve made in years :)
well you just scratched the surface of an amazing rollercoaster that is lovebites and yes you will watch them live 90% of the time if you choose to continue - you should!!!!
absolute elite songwriting and musicianship - not to mention the very pleasing personas of the band !!!
This was during covid restrictions...no one was allowed to stand up....rough one
On par with K.K and Tipton. or Smith and Murray. Total agreement.
A reaction video from you would be great ...🤘😎🤘
Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥
Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna.
The band members of LOVEBITES are (including their official nicknames)
Asami on vocals (the one and only voice):
She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer
Miyako on guitars, piano, keyboards (the golden touch):
She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food
Fami on bass since 2022 (shining fingers):
Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop
Miho on bass until 2021 (natural born headbanger):
We will never forget her, she is a great bass player, she wrote several of the songs for the band’s albums 1-3
You uploaded a reaction video to LOVEBITES' “Shadow Maker” 4 years ago, so this is not the first time.
@@のっぺらぼう-u9y aye, I realised that not long after uploading this one.
Thanks for this hint, revisiting "Shadowmaker" video...
Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the bassist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string)
The present members are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano.
If you enjoyed this song, here are a few recommendations for further listening;
Holy War,
Break The Wall,
Soldier Stand Solitary,
Golden Destination (there is a video that has footage from their 2019 tour of the UK with Dragon Force, including Herman Li as the 'missing sixth member of Lovebites' wearing a white dress)
Thunder Vengeance,
M.D.O.,
Scream For Me (live from 'Daughters of the Dawn' "OK Haruna, Give me the beat") For a masterclass in syncronised guitar shredding.
Winds of Transylvania (written for a Japanese Anime series VLADLOVE)
Frozen Serenade,
Swan Song, with the Chopin piano introduction played by Miyako,
Edge of the World,
Epilogue.
That is a LOT of information to take in 😅
I will make not of some of your suggestions.
If audio, then 7 live Albums. If video, then 8 live Albums + DVD 'Crusaders Standing at Wacken - Live in Germany 2018'
@@GrayFox14 That's why I wrote 6 "main live albums", you've probably counted "Invitation To The Theater" and "Battle In The East", but there's also "Crusaders Standing At Wacken" (you've mentioned it) , so it's not easy to count. I meant
2019 - Daughters Of The Dawn
2020 - Five Of A Kind
2021 - Heavy Metal Never Dies
2023 - Knockin' At Heaven's Gate
2023 - Knockin' At Heaven's Gate - Part II
2024 - Memorial For The Warrior Souls
2025(?) - TGT performance
2026(?) - Eternal/Zepp Tokyo performance
@@rainerzufall42 Yes, I count all the live releases. Because they are full-length concerts (in terms of number of songs): 2CD ('Invitation to the Theater - Live in Tokyo') and DVD/Blu-ray ('Battle in the East', 'Awake Again - Live from Abyss').
This was a phenomenal metal band. Serious talented musicians that play hard fast metal music in happy vibes. Contras look by their dress in first look 🤣. they really love to play live. Dig more bro, theres a lot to talk about them 👍🤘🔥
This was one of LOVEBITES' least "Power Metal" songs in their 60+ song catalogue...
There is a reason why LOVEBITES have released more live albums than studio albums …
LOVEBITES is a Live band! They are at their best Live !🤘
In the case of this band, you will understand that their live performances are better than studio ones. They know how to do it and give 150% on stage.
Great reaction ! I'm glad you discover the Lovebites; they will surprise you yet! Let me suggest you some songs I'm sure you enjoy:
"Soldier stands solitarily" (LIVE 2023), maybe the greatest liveperformance of the band
"Break the wall" (LIVE 2020), the most brutal thrash/speed metal song of the band
"Judgement day" OMV 2023, title-track of the latest album, epic power metal with insane guitar solos
"THe hammer of wrath"" (LIVE 2023), epic singing with drums in great evidence
"Holy war" (2020), their most classic performance and the most known song on the net
"Stand and deliver" OMV 2023, funny song that shows a different side of the band
"Shadowmaker" OMV 2017, the first great success of the band, with wonderful guitar solos
"We are the resurrection" (LIVE 2023, released a few weeks ago on their channel), memorable epic and fast power metal
"Soul defender" OMV 2024, the latest song published a few days ago.
"Frozen serenade" (LIVE 2021), emotional power ballad that shows the multi-instrumental skills of the band.
"Edge of the world" (LIVE 2023), another superb ballad with an intense guitar solo by Miyako
"Unchained" OMV 2024, one of the latest release of the band
"Scream for me" (LIVE 2019) 14 guitar solos!!!
"When destinies allign" OMV 2020, with crazy guitar solos and double guitar solo
"The crusade" OMV 2017, a tribute to Iron Maiden
"Empty daydream" (LIVE 2019), with great instrumental interlude
These are just examples to begin, the Lovebites discography containes about 60 songs, and there isn't a bad song.
Other considerations to answer to your doubts:
The Lovebites aren't tied to specific genre of metal: their influences are Iron Maiden, Slayer, first Metallica, Helloween, Judas Priest and others...
As a rule, this band works in Live performance better than in studio recorded
You can find all their material on their channel YT
After "Judgment day", they have released in august 2024 a new EP (EP II) with new original five songs. Three of them are very thrash and speed
The Lovebites formed in 2016 and have published 4 LP and 3 EP. The members are:
ASAMI, singer, composer and Lyrics maker, called "The one and unique voice"
HARUNA, drummer and founder of the group, an authentic drum-machine, called "little big engine"
MIDORI, guitarist (the blonde) and composer, called "crazy shredder"
MIYAKO, guitarist (the dark haired), pianist, main composer, the genius of the group, called "golden touch"
FAMI, bass player, the youngest and very talented, called "shining fingers"
Fami joined the band in 2022, after the former bassist MIHO (great bass player she also) left the band for personal reasons.
Most of LOVEBITES' songs have a positive message, so you could call it "Happy Metal"! 😂
Looking forward to it in 19 hours
Generally their live performances are more fun than the videos. And they tend to have high sound quality. There are exceptions.
* The Shadowmaker MV is totally fantastic.
* The Judgement Day MV is very good.
* The Stand and Deliver MV is fun (but is best appreciated if you are a fan and understand better what they do). But it is musically good also.

You are absolutely right. I agree 100%
Thanks for the reaction. There are 3 all-female bands with the same name :

Several LOVEBITES releases have reached #1 in the Japanese Charts , but this is not reflected in Wikipedia (Wikipedia, unfortunately, contains errors)
The song 'Set the World on Fire' from the Album 'Electric Pentagram' (2020). The concept of the Album is the revival and protection of heavy metal. The Pentagram is a protective amulet based on the traditional Eastern (China, Japan, Korea, etc.) philosophy (System of Five Elements), of which our World (Universe) consists.

With Lovebites live version is the way to go. Just better than studio in any way!
Welcome to the World of LOVEBITES !!! 💯👍👍👍
@@athlonen And Ozzy is just the opposite. i can't understand a word he says when he talks but when he sings, i hear everything.
@@boki1693 and James Brown is the opposite of that. You can nearly understand what he says when he talks.. yet when he sings not even James knows what he's saying!
Seen them in Dallas Texas last month they actually set the world on fire mate nice reaction .
Wolfpack here!🐺
Welcome back to the world of Lovebites.
By the way, your face seems familiar.
If I remember correctly, you've reacted to Lovebites before.
I'll check back for your reaction video to Lovebites.
Good reaction from your perspective
We love lovebites so much, they are extremely talented, power metal? Yes they are, but remember they have many genre in their music that you are not gonna be disappointed
I hope you will check more song from them, maybe for the next you should do "Soldier Stand Solitarily"
Sorry for my bad English 🙏🏻🤘🏻
Naw mate, what people are finding out (you as well) is that many of these Female Japanese Bands are so good Live, that when you go back and check out the studio version...it sounds OVER-produced!! They break that stereotype of Live Music is not as good....proof is in what you just saw!
Thanks for the Reaction!!
Pack Rule!
Great reaction 👍👏😎 Thanks and sub from Poland 🤗 Stan LOVEBITES 🤘🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘
Go for the Soldier stands solidarity live. Newest song and with the second bassist 🔥

Greetings. Thanks for your return to LOVEBITES. First I'd like to say about their lyrics, "Set The World On Fire" has some of their most 'cryptic'. They consistently encourage facing life's challenges through self-empowerment & personal-responsibility with empathy. Honesty, integrity, perseverance, community, unity, "keep your dignity, stay true to who you are" ...

ONE OF THE COOLEST SONGS BY THE GREASTEST BAND OB THE PLANET❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for reacting to LOVEBITES - one of the best today's metal bands! Looooove our queens! Cheers🍻🐺🤘
Welcome to the WOLFPACK FAMILY..🐺🤘🔥♥️
They have posted four performances from that DVD:
”Hammer of Wrath” ua-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/v-deo.html
“Judgement Day” ua-cam.com/video/yYEUGlFNBKc/v-deo.html
“Nameless Warrior” ua-cam.com/video/Dl29tiJCbNM/v-deo.html and
“Liar” ua-cam.com/video/YWHPfnJz2qk/v-deo.html
All of them are barn-burners.
They have also posted:
“Stand and Deliver” ua-cam.com/video/cNi-OEjzMdA/v-deo.html
“Swan Song” ua-cam.com/video/bK21cuI-V7c/v-deo.html
“MDO” ua-cam.com/video/4jhqEGTKoSg/v-deo.html and

Our QUEENS are different, they are better live than the studio, check more LOVEBITES,you will be impress more,WOLFPACK from philippines..🐺🤘🔥♥️
A frozen serenade,and soldier,Stan,solitary,🤘🤘🤘🤘
In the case of Lovebites, the live performances are generally better than the studio versions, in part BECAUSE they are thinner. The other production elements are absent, which lets you hear the instruments cleanly. And yes, they are extremely impressive. This clip was part of a two-hour set. Just saying.
If this is power metal, then I guess I really like power metal, Actually Lovebites is one of the few power metal bands that I do like. They have a great recipe for making music, They really are a good mix of many metal genres, including speed-metal and thrash-metal. 🐺🐺🐺
A few more songs and you will be hooked. Try these live numbers, also more more on the Thrash side:
THE HAMMER OF WRATH - ua-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/v-deo.htmlsi=kiomU9-yw0Cw_7Jf

Most live performances are usually not as good as the studio versions, but not true with these ladies. That is my experience of being at concerts for over 50 years.

About the lyrics, remember, they are not native English speakers. English is not their language.

🤘🏽LOVEBITESRULES🤘🏽
I seen them live in Newcastle and Edinburgh UK when they were on tour with Dragonforce a few years back also here is a recent release from the girls showing the other side to the amount of talent they have ENJOY LOVEBITES / Edge of the World Live Video from "Memorial For The Warrior Souls" ua-cam.com/video/jQKf8Dy_chA/v-deo.html
Their live shows are certainly better than the studio versions alike my other fav band Nightwish ... So much better live particularly with Floor Jansen as the lead singer
🔥🤟🏻🔥🐺🔥🤘🏻🔥
They also have a song with 14 solos. Just saying.
Subscribed because I like what you do. I hope you do more Lovebites songs. Now react to Break the Wall - live.
@@ChadTheDragonLord I'll be sure to add that to my list. As it is, I've been given a LOT of suggestions 😅
About your live videos, teory take the time and watch the song Judgment day video and than the live performance both are on Lovebites chanel, is there any ........?🤘
there is 3 bands called Lovebites also a danish all female prog rock sorta from 90s not very good
There also a quite new and unknown pop punk band called „The Lovebites“ from Germany.
you checked out Lovebites five years ago. song Shadowmaker, October 2019.
if someone who listens to metal after 8 years has not heard them, I wonder how they will become known at some point....😒
Best hidden secret, that's why they got more than 41% on metalawards survey on being best Power Metal group in the world...
