I was empty for many years until I found God. He is what I needed that I did not know. I was so empty and lost. Side note, that’s one of my fav trails.

Good luck on your new running and health journey.
12 years ago I had a similar health scare and had the good fortune to meet some great people who introduced me to endurance sports.
    It literally saved my life.
Over that 12 years I lost 40 lbs and eventually completed 5 full Ironmans and 10 ultramarathons of 100 miles or longer.
I’m currently training for a 300 mile ultramarathon and retiring early in a few months.
Change is hard but the results allow us to be the best version of ourselves for us and our loved ones!

Wow, your story is seriously awesome man. Thank you for sharing it. The fact that you’ve gone from a health scare to crushing Ironmans and ultramarathons is incredible. It's proof that hard work and commitment can truly change lives. Best of luck with your training for the 300-mile ultramarathon-what an amazing goal! I’ll definitely keep your words in mind as I am right behind you one step at a time. Thanks for reaching out. 🙏

Let's goooooooooo man, subbed. Glad to see you running and killing it. In this world, it's so easy to get caught up in wanting more wealth and financial security, but it means fuck all when life passes you by day by day in an unfulfilling way. We have to live our lives in a way that is inspiring to our kids because they will likely follow in our footsteps. We can't just go through the motions.
I agree also that exercise truly can give you something to wake up and look forward to, the constant progress is addicting. It feels good for the mind and the body. You just feel like you're doing exactly what you should be doing at that very moment.

We all have our own lessons to learn. Maybe I wouldn't have found running and started UA-cam if it wasn't for the crazy journey. You feel so intune with your body and mind when you are out there. I keep asking myself sometimes why it took me all this time to find this feeling.

  • @antap

Nice one. Don't go overboard with the running (fixing an addiction with an addiction, knees and shins will rebel if you run everyday, not natural, walking every day is).
More natural and balanced would be runs, walks and bodyweight exercise (that would be 2 x each/week) and or sport or paddle.
If you are not overweight and less than 50, you could train (run) once or twice/week and comfortably run a sub 4 hour Marathon. Talking from experience.
(That said, the slower the pace when running/jogging the less impact on joints.)
    Go well 👍

If you didn't say. Oh yeh I can feel my knees and my back when I push it too hard. I am trying not to up the training too much and over do it. Man aging sucks :) Thanks for the tips 🙏

Im trying to run daily too. I purchased a decent running shoes but my work schedule as a healthcare worker limits my time for running, plus I am currently 87 kg. It puts stress to my knees and ankles if i run fast and hard. I will not give up though.

    • @HealthCores
      @HealthCores  3 місяці тому +8

Oh yes, please listen to your body. Just take it easy and brisk walk if you can. When I first started, I used to jog for 2 minutes and walk for 10 and build up slowly from there. You just have to make time to be out there. Most importantly, enjoy breathing the fresh air and keep moving forward step at a time.

I am going to something that most may not agree with me here. Running or extensive cardio actaully releases chemicals into the body that mimics a fear response. With brainwaves... running all the time puts a lot of stress on the heart and brain as you are telling the body there is a threat... eating correctly and just walking is fine. Jogging running and high intensity work outs actually age the body.... joints take a beating. As i know mnay runners hit there 50 60 70 s and can hardly walk ....
It does release a lot of feel good chemicals into the brain . It becomes an addiction ..
You can do your own research on these things. Propper food and clean water , fasting is what we were made to do....
    Sugar #1 bad thing
    Get rid of parasites
    Clean the blood
    Fasting
Eat once or twice a day and fast 3 days helo build T cells and get rid of the bad ones.
But eating fruit before and after a fast is important....
If running is your thing , do it.
Just be advised it has long term affects too.
Diet is %85 percent how you will look and feel!
    Minerals are imoortant
    Aminos
    Vitimins
Discover what your body needs and feed it..
Just walking is fine for 4 miles is fine no need to run❤
Love you man. Love you all
We all on our own journey and i aspire to slow down the pace of the hamster wheels. People come together and understand the big lies we been told our life from the main steams...

I think everything to the extreme could be bad for you. I think where I am with .y running is a good spot. On days when I am feeling way too much pain then I take it easy. Aside from the marathon, I just wanna get out there and get some fresh air🙏
