I agree with you!! I’ve been living in Da Nang Vietnam for a year now and it’s a laid-back environment.
As a black American man, I do get attention, but mostly I keep to myself.
Keeping to myself is my choice, but all in all the people are very nice, the culture is laid-back and I really don’t have any complaints.

I don’t know what you’re looking to experience in Da Nang, but a good start is to google “the top things to do in Da Nang, Vietnam”.

You hear foreigners getting killed doing dumb things in Vietnam like those two Australians few months ago, they were murdered quite sad. Stay safe and enjoy you time in Vietnam! If you do don't do silly things you'll have a great time over there.

For me when I visited Vietnam I just felt a surge of good energy. The place is so lively but at the same time so chill. I live in Vegas, but Vietnam is even more convenient. You can get any food or do anything at anytime and it wont take long to get it either. The services of Grab is so fast. If course the women are beautiful there and you have many more options as a single male. The cost of living and food is so cheap that you feel like a king there. As long as you live there but still working and making American income then it will be paradise. I told myself if I ever moved there then it wouldnt be to lower my living lifestyle and living off less but to make the same income and have the freedom to do more.

I think the place you need to see is Taiwan coz I know you like Japan and Vietnam and Taiwan is kind of a mix of the two. I like Bangkok but after a few days I want to get out of there. Bangkok is a good place for people who work online though, best balance of developed and affordable you can find.

Every foreigner has their own reasons for living in Asia but I find that most expats both young and old appreciate the lower cost lifestyle with Western comforts compared to how they lived in their native countries. As long as your funds and earnings are in USD or Euros you can live a very high quality of life with more disposable income. Every reason you named was lifestyle or cost. Currently you are still in the honeymoon period where everything is fresh, new and exciting.
Where your views may change the longer you stay in Vietnam is when you attempt to establish roots and networks in terms of family, friendships or building a business by integrating into the native society rather than the expat community. The expat community is in it's own bubble compared to the native society. Those worlds are completely different in terms or expectations, values, responsibilities and relationships and if you have no grasp of the native language in terms of speaking, reading and writing then you will struggle to integrate.
I would suggest that if you are intent about living in Vietnam long term and establishing relationships with native Vietnamese that you enroll yourself into a language program and spend less time in the expat bubble.
Unlike a native you have the luxury of staying or going so enjoy yourself while you stay

Shu is going to leave Vietnam once the honey moon phase is over; he isn't like the whites where they hide in Thao Dien. He'll feel alone being away from friends and family to live in some third world. What he's going to do, be friends with some Nigerian? And live on his savings?

Peace of mind and relaxation I think is the main reason Bro..And to be honest Bro I sho wish I was in your shoes. Because for a guy like me who is only interested in dating Asian women the dating scene sucks ..The city I stay doesn't have a huge asian population.. which makes it very difficult to meet and mate with beautiful Asian women so I'm definitely working on moving outta this city for real bro I'm very serious about it ...But Bro I'm glad to see you living your best life congratulations and I look forward to seeing more great content especially the dating video as well...peace ✌️
