- Here's another classic purse design of mine. I love these, it's what started my love of needle arts.
It's not an easy project, but you will have made something that is very unique and customized just the way you like, inside and out. There's some sewing involved, and while it's my least favorite part to do, it makes the lining really high quality.
The crochet part is pretty simple at least. I hope you all enjoy this project. Happy crocheting (and sewing)!

Thank you for the tutorial. I found this useful and impressed with your talent. One question, can I also use t-shirt yarn for this pattern? Warmest regard :)
At the beginning you made two pieces that fit inside the metal frame. One had rows going length wise, the other on short cross wise. What was the first piece for? Was it for part of the lining? You didn’t cover what it was used for. I watched the part 2 video for making the purse and it just talked about attaching it to the frame.
For the rest of the the purse, I loved it. But it ended with the mesh and feet attachments showing.
Its actually just one piece. Check the video at 5:11, I explain how to make the bottom to fit the purse frame for someone using a different size yarn. After that I show how I make my bottom. That’s where the confusion must be. Take your time and rewatch it, it will make more sense this time I think. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much 😊 I’ve listed a few bags before but there wasn’t a lot of interest. I’d like to try again in the future. I think they may have been too expensive for people, I’m not sure. They take a lot of time and work, so it’s hard to price them so it makes sense for everyone. I’m inspire to try again though, thanks again 😊🙏

Yes, unfortunately those shops are out of commission I think. I don’t have the exact measurements but I’ll see if I can find that bag again and measure it. There’s other shops on Etsy that sell them I’m sure
@@KnitcroAddict Yes, after a very long search, I had discovered that Bagpurseframes, has suspended their Etsy shop. I wasn't interested in getting the exact frame you used, just the frame measurements are all I wanted. I already have 2 spools of Iris nylon thread, in my stash so, I ended up going with a 20cm/8inch gun metal frame & matching color chain, for the bag I'll be making myself.
Can I know what size of the metal you use?
Hi can we use two or three colors or it has to be only one color?
I recommend one color for this stitch, but you can use more if you want.
One more question I made one bag according to your instructions and it's too heavy can we use bigger size crochet hook?
You can use a bigger hook as long as the bottom lines up with the bottom of the purse frame.

If my purse frame is a little bit oval at the ends, how should I do the bottom? Decrease the rows till the ends so that it matches the purse frame?
If the shape is just a little bit oval it should be ok, as long as it still fits inside the frame, but if you’re not sure Id definitely decrease. It’s so much easier to assemble the purse and frame when they are the size same.

I also think that decreasing will do the work :) I’m doing the bottom and I’m at the point of decreasing, so I keep my fingers crossed that it will be ok :) Its hard to find a rectangular purse frame so I need to work with what I have :) btw. I love this bag and your tutorial - it looks absolutely stunnig!

You really need to get the camera closer to your hands, because its very difficult to see what youre doing.
