      I truly hope you do!
      I have always loved following ocean discoveries and even the old myths around this animal. TBH my fear of the ocean is in part due to how little we know of it, and what lives in the depths. The rest is from submechnophobia, so only shallow water for me. Huge Thank you for what you do!!

    giant squid is longer. Colossal squid are definitely denser. also 1:52 that's a squid arm. Tentacles/clubs only have suckers at their oar shaped tips/clubs. Actually since it's you're dream squid the clubs of the colossal have rotating nightmare teeth.

    I can't even watch it or listen in fear that I'm not going to like the outcome. Usually, when things are beautiful old & should be protected & left in their own, habitat!!! Although, normally they're, killed, caged, eaten & taken away from all that they've known that helped hem to be that beautiful in the first place!! Let's just say this: I certainly Hope & Pray, that this story revolves around the first opinion & not the latter... 💞 🙏 💞

    • @matydrum
      @matydrum 3 роки тому +2

      It's been tried with suction devices to attached the camera, the best they got you see the tip of a tentacle ending up in front of the camera and staying there. Then the camera would detach and they find it with sonar.

      Actually we don't know what one is longer only one specimen of the colossal squid has been found we know they weigh double that of a giant squid and it's very possible the kraken stories had some truth in the colossal squid not the giant squid. The colossal squid is twice as wide at 2-3 meters on the one specimen we have.
