The tin picnic basket's fantastic. In some ways it's modernist, part of modernism is printing images on a variety of materials and inventing new manufacturing process' for economies of scale.
I liked that 1920s chair, at 0:31, a lot. There was a porcelain vase, at 3:15, that caught my eye. I tend to like the porcelain vase much better than the glass ones. I love the clear Heisey glass, especially the _Colonial_ pattern. Heisey made some of the clearest glass, to not be crystal, I've ever come across. The artist's piece, of the heron, was really nice. The Nippon berry set, at 5:23, would've come home with me. It was a good deal, at $20.00. I'm not too fond of the Geisha girl or the dragonware patterns, but that set was really pretty. That Twin City milk bottle reminded me...if you ever come across a pint and/or half-pint bottle of Golden Guernsey, Mt. Meadow Dairy, from Gadsden, AL, I'd like to have one of each. I have a quart bottle that my grandmother gave me when I was six or seven years old. Lots of interesting items there! Good luck, with the sale!
Nice spy of that chair! Porcelain vases don’t show watermarks so I get that. Heisenberg is such good quality, I hope it’s appreciated! I liked the blue Nippon as a collection a lot more than as single items. Glad you enjoyed this preview!
@@TheAntiqueNomadShorts I could find a spot for that chair, after my brother and I do some rearranging here. If I had space for it, I'd have a room full of Heisey _Colonial_ and just let the light do its thing with it. Porcelain vases have always appealed to me much more than glass ones. I have a few, very few, Carnival Glass vases and several Goofus Glass vases, but I much prefer old porcelain ones. If a Lalique vase is set beside an R S Prussia vase, I'm going directly to the R S Prussia 😃
Oh, I love that chair! Goodness, all the Nippon. I've never seen so many matching pieces in one place either. Tea cup extravaganza! She had some nice little treasures.
George, you must be exhausted! I know I am. I need a vacation. That looks like a great sale. I don't know how you do it, but it looks great. Very presentable. Good luck with everything. Please be careful.
Hi Corene! Did you ask me to look for Boston Terriers for you when you stopped by my booth @ Custers? I went to three estate sales this weekend and did not find even one! I'm still looking & the sales have only just begun! Thank you for stopping by & visiting. I wish you had more time to visit. Maybe in Oct? 😊😊
Love the china set that was beautiful. Also the Heisey pattern glass, I have a creamer and sugar dish that are yellow from Heisey. What a trove of different treasures and so lovely. You have a great day and sale
Love Spokane! We were out there from the east coast last summer for son's basketball team. Thank you for showing us round the Spokane Estate sale scene. I WOULD HAVE picked up that green metal picnic basket too! It looks like wicker, and wicker is so in now again.
As an ephemera seller I was wondering if you typically give photos back to the family or is dependent on their requests? I get a lot of good photo and other related ephemera at estate sales.
@TheAntiqueNomadShorts I did the staging for high-end estate sales years ago. I also collect at that level. I would tell the other employees that the people are here to spend their money. We're here to make that as quick and easy as possible and make them feel good about what they bought.
Oh boy!! What a treasure trove..have fun!
My grandmother had a birthday book. She had beautiful things like this woman. Wish I could attend the sale! Thanks for sharing this with us, George.
Oh wow!
I really learned a lot and so enjoyed your interactions with the people who brought their special things to you for the appraisal !!
Thanks! I will release more appraisal videos at least monthly

We put out a lot of photos to sell as well but these were newer pictures with family who are still around to keep them
Pink depression glass is more scarce on shelves. Must mean it's sitting in collections.
I think it's starting to go into new collections as well
Hi by George n xman
It mystifies me that Ben Seibel doesn't fetch much better prices. I love his designs.
Agreed
I have cedar chest
Did you get first dibs on stuff? 😊
I can't buy stuff at a sale that involves me unless there's just a ton of the same thing so no one else feels cheated
✨❤️🧡💛💚💙💜✨
😊❤👍
Drek!
You’re allowed to think so, none of this is super spendy but a lot of people seem to like it here!
