Just when I’m curled up in a fetal position about the state of this world.. Along comes George with friendly people at booths! These trips are therapeutic as I see goodness in them. Much appreciated ❤️🐩
Wild George, what a brilliant short This is a great 1 because there was so many things to see. Wow, I would have to be there all 4 days. LO LLO L thank you again. Waiting for the next one.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hey George! I like to hit family run estate sales on the last day. Ive picked up crazy deals that way by going in and offering a set amount on an entire table full of items. And you know what i pay for a lot of my things! Today i got an entire table of red cranberry glassware that included 2 - 21" empoli etched apothecary jars and a 14" one also. Thats just 3 of the pieces. There were over 30 items on the table. Really great deal. I cant wait to set some of it up along side white milk glass! Oh yeah! We dont have swap meets up here. I really miss them. You got some good finds there! As always, be safe!
That tarnished box! My Dentist had that and when kids got dental work they got to pick something out of the “Treasure Chest”. I saw it was gone 30 years later and I gave him a hard time about retiring it. 😁
Found some really pretty Poole cups and saucers today for a buck each. All stained. Left them, darnitt! But...channeled George and the Crazy Lamp Lady and scored an Avram Palatnik lucite giraffe... for $5.(LOL) It was at an estate sale with a mix of fair prices and stupidly expensive ones. Family-run. They needed a George to wise them up.
That was a good deal on the saddle. I liked the Native American mortar and pestle and grinding stones. I have a stone that I found on my grandparent's property years, and years...and years ago that is worn to perfectly fit in the hand, and it has a flat spot, on the bottom, where it was used to grind/smash something. There were lots of arrow heads on that property, too. Granddad would dig them up, when he tilled his garden. I _really_ liked that old wheelchair! That's something I've always wanted, but never had the space to put one.
I do like the saddle! The grinding stones seem to be of real interest to a lot of collectors right now. So neat you found one, I looked where we lived but never found anything. The old wheelchair, that was a really good item, I'd have to use it in lieu of a recliner though
Great tips . Yes be careful try not to buy things in haste . Easier said than done though at times , lol . I was wondering , do you buy storage units ? Or would you if you knew it was an antique dealers?
Good to see you George! You know me and my love of horses. I’m impressed with the saddle, too. Wonder if it would fit my 9 year old granddaughter. Is it in rideable shape, or just decorative?
