We hope you enjoyed the journey through the serene beauty of Buln Buln House! It’s truly remarkable how Chamberlain Architecture & Interiors created a home that harmonises so effortlessly with the East Gippsland landscape, blurring the lines between architecture and nature. I’m so glad that you add the human element to your features (eg. people populating the spaces). It gives a great sense of proportion of the buildings for the viewer.
Would love the camera work to show more wide shots of the house and varied rooms rather than repetitive shots and multiple closeups of irrelevant things like towels
The brick work is phenomenal. We don't see it much in new construction in the States because it's so cost prohibitive now. Very warm combined with the wood surfaces. Classic modernism. I get a Norman Jaffe vibe from the front exterior view. That's a good thing 🙂
I really like all your videos, but at the same time I feel like I'm watching the same house in 100 different varieties. I would really like to see something else than 'concrete / wood /glass on outside & wood & stone on inside & minimalistic all around" I would really like to see a renovated old house, completely in style design wise with modern twists, or just really nothing modern at all. Just cozy and rustic and relatable for normal people
Plus the "elevated vernacular" effect is tiresome. Everything must "cantilever" (as a verb). No more can a house be "abstract," it must be "abstracted." "Materiality." The snob appeal becomes fatiguing. It's an inescapably beautiful home, though. That's certain.
@@kirkl9370 There's plenty of places to see beauty, refinement, and quality. (Never Too Small, and especially Open Space come to mind) The videos here at Local Project have steered away from that, and steered toward hardcore snobbery.
It’s not just about saving money, it’s about making your money work for you. A house like this takes more than just discipline, smart financial decisions and investments play a huge role.
Agreed. I bought my first home after working with a financial advisor, Graham David Fullerton. He guided me through a series of investments that grew my savings significantly. It wasn’t easy, but it paid off.
Where do I start? How do I begin investing? I don't think I can ever get a home with the current rates. If anyone has advice, please share. Also, how do I connect with him?
Investing is honestly a game-changer. Even if you’re not making a lot right now, starting small and consistently growing your portfolio can open up so many possibilities. The earlier you start, the better.
Land integration is debatable, I don’t see it and secondly face brick internally is not soft, quite the opposite. Some great procedures of space usage but nothing that stands out. Pretty much textbook cut and paste stuff that affords comfortability. As for the Porsche partnership, was hoping there would be an interesting garage to share?
Ok. It not way blends in….but I don’t think it needs to. I love the exterior, but the internal choices I found underwhelming. I think it was the colour palette tbh…..it made what is a beautiful home look like so many others. I would have loved to have seen a more sophisticated and deeper choice in the colours of the materials chosen.
Reminiscent of the Eichler houses back in the mid century atomic age, the greatest difference is that those old houses were built to be affordable to the middle class people and used materials like plywood to cut costs Today, i feel like saying ' architecture doesn't start until it's 1 million dollars ', that goes to most builds specially in Australia and New Zealand, visually it has the same vibes as the mid century bungalows, but the price difference is staggering
It has more to do with the cost of labour in Australia, than the designs. Project home builders make crappy, affordable cookie-cutter houses that suit most people’s taste and budget. Plasterboard with cornices, skirting and architraves (to hide all manner of sloppiness) is cheaper than plywood, concrete or exposed brick. If you want a cheap house that’s what you get.
I wouldn't say this house "perfectly blends into nature" as the video title says; in fact, I think it does the opposite. Looks like a box on top of a bare hill. A well-designed box, but not one that's well integrated into its landscape.
Very very nice , but it is always the same on this local Projekt channel , the house is really nothing spezial but where it is located that is unique . And at least in Europa it is almost like a lottery win to get such a property without neighbors . And then it is not said that you get a permission to build .
Always the same architectual BS: A "humble" 500m2 1-2 rich old person block, made of concrete/bricks "blending in surrounding and nature" by completely destroying it and the scenery 😂
Despite truly appreciating the architecture on this channel, I also find the descriptions so amusing. We’re constantly hearing about how homes “blend into nature” or “seem to rise from the landscape” or “looks as though it has rested here for centuries.” Glass and steel boxes don’t “blend” with landscapes. At all. In a way, nothing could be less natural than big boxy houses that clearly look they were dropped from sky.
Nothing strong. The same volumes that all the modern houses have today, it land in the site without any movement of the land, and the Interiores looks a house of a old lady, very pale and tha peach color is very boring. Sorry ... even the sofa the same peach color. Come on architets be more active with news ambiances.
Big fan of the local project. Watched this one on silent. With all that brick on the floor, all I could think of was public toilet. If it really blended perfectly into nature it would be a green curved building, not a brick rectangle even though I like rectangle buildings. Just don't say something it's not, then I won't expect it. Brick floor = tripping hazard. The bathroom is also depressing, Westfields Melbourne Chadstones is better. The lounge room is great, but for all those windows and time of day why is it so dark?Internal brickwork is not level and gives a rather unprofessional look especially around the fireplace. The house should be called 'Fireplace House' because it's the dominant feature. If everything themed of the fireplace that would have been a good focus. Everything is mono tone and nothing features. Hard to think what type of furnishing would match this if the owners taste differs from this colour theme. Or it could be the colour grading even the guy looks pink/peachy. Something about this house feels soulless, like an old cathedral, lifeless.

I can feel the essence of masculinity in this home. Those edges & the views really stood out for me. Thank you Local Project 😎
I’m so glad that you add the human element to your features (eg. people populating the spaces). It gives a great sense of proportion of the buildings for the viewer.
The landscape is beautiful and the house probably functions for the owner. Bravo !

So many drone shots in this one... Huge fan! The clip at 3:38👍🏻👍🏻
The misty sunrise was epic!
I love this house! BenDen's music would go really well with these amazing vids.

Not all though. Some of them really hints the lifestyle of individual owners. You can tell when you see it. Full of character and life.
Plus the "elevated vernacular" effect is tiresome. Everything must "cantilever" (as a verb). No more can a house be "abstract," it must be "abstracted." "Materiality."

@@randyroheThe "tonal qualities"... 😂😂😂

Loving the Porsche partnership…. very cool!
Amazing design ❤
This will never date, beautiful home and amazing location. ❤
stunning
It really is!
clean & neat
How many years do I have to save money to buy something like this? No, really, how much does a house like this cost? And what about running costs?

Use his full name to quickly conduct an internet search.

Why don’t you just say what you really think about it😅
Those bricks inside the house looks like it was built in the 80s
Is this an ad for Porche?
You lost me at ‘materiality’. 😂
Thank you! 😂😂😂

Let’s hope the client never gets older or breaks a hip. Why all the short stair cases?
Best way possible to blend into the landscape. Only more effective way would be to have no buildings at all.
Great exterior, underwhelming interior, great video quality, poor content variety on actual property.
They didn't even show the garage where the Porsche is supposed to go.

I like the curtains. Are they from Home Depot? 😂
Bit uncalled for don't you think 🤔

Cliche
Where is the character?
your cuts are way too fast, please make it at least 5 seconds.
The design reflects the brilliance of cardboard boxes. Unfortunately, new money doesn't buy good design.
Why don’t you guys actually show the house, it’s just a bunch of crappy b roll
Boring cliche following fads
Maybe cat means dog
