@@abikasur6652 Exactly. They don't really care, and it shows. They mess up names as well. You would think they would get them down after 3 seasons haha
fun fact (more funny really): Goshiki, the guy who saw Hinata squeeze his head in between the mats in the closet, did the same thing at the end of the chapter this appeared in in the manga XDDD idk why he did it LOL
4:41 "I don't remember him." Of course you don't remember him since you've never seen him.🤣 He's from Shiratorizawa JUNIOR High and will be a first year at Shiratorizawa High NEXT year.
remember the Hinata Kageyama fight in 2nd season? Hinata wanted to practice the new quick but Kageyama told him that he needs to work on the basics more and get better as a player. in the end, they decided to go with Hinata's point and Kageyama helped him to make the new quick possible. But after two whole seasons, the anime is back to show that Kageyama did have a point too back then. Because yes Hinata is so hardworking and talented but he didn't really learn volleyball step by step or had to wait for a chance to be regular on his team, he didn't put as much time into learning the boring basics like the majority of other players. how to receive block how to serve and how to analyze the other players movements.. so when Kageyama isn't around now it was finally the time for him to realize all the skips he made til now and how much he has to learn. Hinata in the last seasons was already so inspiring and great as a main character but the depth Season 4 gave him was the cherry on top
the "All-Japan" camp that Kageyama is at is for first and second years, they are prospects that might get chosen for the next U19 team. Ushiwaka is a third year and was already on the team, by the time next tournament rolls around he would be too old
22:20 I think what you mean is that in the past 3 seasons, Hinata has mostly focused on getting better as a spiker. This season, Hinata will be focusing on improving as a volleyball player. This is why this training arc is so good. It's also why Hinata is finally becoming my #2 favorite character (Kenma is always #1). He's finally a real volleyball player.
That Training camp Kageyama went into is for 1st and 2nd year students, since they are 15-16 year olds and can play for under 19 when they are in 3rd year or afterwards(after 2-3 years)! The thing Takeda sensei said about not giving them answers but hints and let them think about it, is something Aoba josai coach does! He gives the team hints and sometimes just let's the team discuss amongst themselves! Amazing reaction guys! 👍🔥
Ushijima reading the advertisements instead of the manga will always be funny to me. Mr. Straightforward, indeed. The moment where Hinata shoves his head into the mats in the supply closet is one that I've figuratively experienced many times (including recently); there's something to be said about how this series shows being and feeling "lost." Hinata feels it instantly when he sees himself working with the Shiratorizawa first years, internalizes it when he sees Tendou and Ushijima, and physically enacts it in the supply closet. (We could argue that's he's been internalizing it ever since Kageyama and Tsukishima were announced as representatives.) Being lost is both mental and physical; it takes a hold and like the image of the plants grabbing at Shoyo's feet, drags you down and makes you rethink any confidence you've had. Take Shoyo pre-s4 for instance. Before, Shoyo knew he might not have all the talent of other players, but he still continues to be confident. Now, Shoyo's not even sure of that self-confidence, and he's not sure how he can improve. Because of this, the words of others (Kageyama's "I'm going ahead," Washijo's indication that Hinata lacks without Kageyama, and Ushijima's "So what are you doing?") plague him a lot more than they used to. Now it becomes a matter of what Shoyo will do to combat that defeat of confidence.
just wanted to say that today was one of the worst days i've had in a long time but then i remembered that you guys uploaded today and felt 10 times better. thanks for always having insightful yet HILARIOUS reactions to my favorite show, keep it up :)
THIS IS DEFINITELY HINATA'S SEASON. This season will show his ups and downs, his growth and improvement as an individual or as a player. If ever he played with the real setter before, or even have a team with proper training, he'll do good even more in his highschool years. But I love how furudate made him a character who started with nothing, to a character who became a pro in something he's passionate about. I love how he used hinata as an inspiration to many kids who wants to be a volleyball player but lack of skills ot something they needed to be a volleyball player. Hinata’s character is truly inspirational. If you read the whole manga, you'll feel proud of him, ofc you'll feel proud with other players too. It's not just hinata’s story or his journey in volleyball, it's also about all of them, all players who worked hard to reach their goals. This season proves that he can improve by himself, without kageyama. Not only in receiving or split step, throughout the whole season 4, he'll learn how to read his opponents next move. It's not a simple improvement but a huge improvement. Reading your opponents next move is hard, especially when you're in an actual game. But this kid, hinata is nothing but an amazing passionate kid. No matter how nasty glares he gets, no matter how much he get underestimated, how much painful words he gets, even though he once questioned himself, he still continued to move forward. One of the reason why no matter how much other characters in this show pulled me, Hinata will always have a special spot to my heart that no one else can take from him, even my ultimate crushes in other shows? Nah. I always have special spots on my heart for main characters. They became the main character for a reason, they're may not the best, the coolest, the baddest, there's always reason why they became the main characters.
Season 4 aka Hinata Shoyo’s season lol. This was the season that really made me love and appreciate him as a main character. From this point on he has amazing development 🥲
I'm so pumped for this *slides in to leave a like before running for school Edit: LMAO I love the fact that you guys actually went back to rewatch what Satori said about Ushi reading the ads in the shounen jump magazine HAHHHHHAHA This is kind of a running gag in the fandom, especially among the fans who are hardcore Shiratorizawa stans (like me HA). You'd think Ushi would be someone who's cool and aloof even when off the court, and he is, but what's funny is that he has such a straightforward outlook on everything that he makes the most normal thing seem hilarious. Like reading ads in a magazine instead of the manga section, which is ultimately what Satori lent him his copy of Shounen Jump for. And about the issue with Ushi not being at the Youth Camp like Kageyama, I know some ppl have explained it already but I wanted to add on to those haha. Basically, Ushi is a third year so he's a bit too old to still continue playing for the youth league in Japan, he'd more likely be scouted by other teams from various places and I won't say anything else to avoid spoilers. So yeah, the fact is that he has already been to the Youth Camp before and represented Japan in the U-19 league, but that was before Shiratorizawa lost to Karasuno in the finals, so now he's leaving the youth league behind to move forward, which in turn makes space for younger volleyball players like Kageyama to get into the Youth Camp (this is only to assess their skills as players btw, not the actual invitation to play nationally for the country). Also, I know you guys didn't bring this up when watching the episode, but when Coach Ukai says that in order to win, they're been limiting what Hinata should do, he's he's actually referring to all the basics of volleyball that Hinata still sucks at, like passing and receiving serves and all that. He's a good spiker with a lot of speed, stamina, agility and jumping power, but currently that's about all he has to offer. Currently:) If y'all did get that about that scene then my bad, but I thought you'd like to know regardless haha. Hope that cleared up any confusion for you two. Can I just say that I love it when my baby Satori receives any sort of praise or when reactors give him the love he deserves? Ian, just for that 'I can't help but like this guy' and the little imitation of his cute duck sound of surprise, you're now my most favourite person ever on youtube HAHAH. Oh, and, same, I will never get over the fact that Ushi sounds like a grown man when he's speaking. I am honestly living for his voice and have been since I fell in love with him when I first rewatched Season 3 of Haikyuu. Nishinoya is such a cutie. Him cheering up Hinata lives in my head rent-free. I'm sure that if someone actually did do a compilation of your comments at the end of each Haikyuu episode, every single time would definitely include 'that was a great episode' HAHAHAHAHA. Thanks for this week, I can't wait for the next and until you meet all the new characters!!
Little fact you may not have known: Takeda is a japanese literature teacher, so that's why he always has such mini-speeches, he usually gets worried he's being too over poetic for the kids to understand himt too, which I think it's both eneadring and really funny.
Tsukki is salty as ever, you won't take away the saltiness from his body. But from what I see, he's concerned that hinata is wasting the practice before the tournament, which is very important for all of them. Hinata is one of the best weapon, so him, practicing with the team is needed. It's just that, Tsukki express his concern in that way, even in other seasons. Not all people can express themselves boldly in front of many, or change overnight. Even in timeskip, he's still salty but he do not see them anymore as strangers, annoying or sum.
Here I am again with my long-ass comment. Sorry in advance!!! Hahaha. Great reaction again guys! :) This is also one of my favorite arcs for Hinata because of his character and skill development. Hinata's basic/individual skill was lacking compared to other players. When Hinata and Kageyama first used their freak quick, it actually relied mostly on Kageyama's setting precision. Yes, Hinata is athletic and can jump but he was closing his eyes and Kageyama was basically bringing the ball to him. There was not a lot of space for Hinata's individual techniques to improve. But because of how effective it was against other teams, they used it consistently for the team's success (in a way, holding back Hinata's personal development). This was also what Coach Ukai and Takeda-sensei were referring to. Karasuno focused on sharpening/improving the things that worked best for the team. While aiming to have a better team dynamic, players have to continue thinking about what would work best for themselves. Coaches can't give the players all the right answers/choices for their own development. This was also partly the reason for their fight in S2. Hinata was aware that his individual skills were lacking. They lost to Aoba Johsai with his eyes closed after the last spike. He realized that he can't just rely on Kageyama's technique. He fought with Kageyama's opinion (tbh even against Suga and Coach Ukai's advice; because initially Coach Ukai sided with Kageyama then) that he should just continue practicing the freak quick that works and learned about tempo and fighting mid-air battles on his own with old Coach Ukai's guidance. Now, he can fight with his own spiking skills, even without Kageyama as a setter. When Kageyama and Tsukishima (both 1st years like Hinata is) were chosen for the different training camps, Hinata probably felt panicked and frustrated that they were moving ahead faster. He doesn't want to be left behind in terms of skills. Hinata did the best thing to advocate for himself again and tried to be included in the training camp. (Again, against others' opinion that he shouldn't do it. We stan a self-advocating, self-aware and passionate player.) ^_^ This is not to downplay Hinata's athletic prowess, current skills, determination and passion. He's come a long way in a short amount of time and he really is the best boy!!! He may be lacking in other technical skills now but what he has innately is SO FREAKING AMAZING anyway. He just needs to work on other things to be the most valuable player on the court. Hehehe. Lastly, Washijo-sensei could really seem like a d*ck to Hinata most of the time (especially at the start of their acquaintance). Hehehe. But he does know how smaller players can be discriminated against and looked down upon. He was a smaller player himself. His heart is in the right place and wants Hinata to experience some things for his growth.
guys, many 3 year retired already. they are not in highschool anymore so oikawa and ushiwaka cannot go to the youthcamp. thats hightschool. These guys are about to start college
That's not the reason, though. The Youth camp is to prepare the players and then select the players for the next U19 world championship, which takes place in 2 years. By that time, the third years would be 20 years old and wouldn't be eligible.
