Speak that truth! Tony Concept Performance owns his own foundry in the USA and instead of just the LSR and LT aftermarket blocks, he's now doing aftermarket Aluminum BBC blocks and I think he should do heads too. I don't know anyone who even runs Dart other than the 959 guys but those are billet deals. My families been running Brodix since the beginning, and one of the reasons I stick with them is family owned, have their own foundry, and have a good casting. I did get my first set of Profiler air strike casting but they only made the casting. I'm looking forward to trying those on this f3-121 Sbc 454.
It appears he did just speak the truth. Eric is as genuine as they come. Why are you discounting what he said. Listen, take what knowledge you can from him as it's free and move on
@jakeblack4095 Dig here, I am almost 50 and I don't play internet games. Now where the f**k did I say anything wrong? I use Curtis and Dan but I've never advertised the company name because it's I feel it's disrespectful, and I support what Eric speaks and does. I've been watching Eric's videos for at least 3 years now. I've never discredited anything he says and I still don't. A person I deal with uses Eric and I've never heard anything bad about him. I have always heard good about him. Now tell me where I discredited Eric....
@garyhosier4765 I don't even know what I said wrong. In my reply back to him you can see where I like Eric and would never discredit or be disrespectful to him. I have used Eric because I use someone else for years now, but I know a guy, one I deal with on suspension setup stuff who uses Eric and is very happy so, I have no clue what he's referring to. If it's the Concept Performance, I think Tony would make nice porter castings since he owns his foundry and does engine blocks already using American material, owned, and operated, and the company is family-owned.
Eric I have some pro comp 220's from 2012, they called me and said they didn't have the the 180's on hand so I got these bare for $145 ea. They told me these were sourced to RHS for one year and these are left overs. I put Erson valves and ARP studs, light springs for flats but never used them 'cause everyone says they are crap!! They look alot like those...
You know Dart has an aluminum 220, 227, 230, 235, 245, and massive 255cc intake port head with 2.08 valves. Wonder if the flow numbers are close to what they advertise on the website.
Hi Eric, I have a set of 230cc pro 1 (straight plug) on a 421sbc is it worth getting them ported or am I better off just buying something else ?? What have you done with them in the past?? Thanks 👍
With Dart giving up the cast iron tooling as of January 2023, and since Darts heads are not really made in USA. And since it’s now July 2024 and we know how good the other heads are. Might at well just go promaxx project x215 heads.
Eric, do you have a database of the heads you have tested? The idea is being able to create a report that shows the best heads for a given valve lift and best flow. The report would need parameters of make, model, and so on. This is a sellable service.
@@cedricwilson2055 Flow charts are specific to a single item, a flow database allows the builder to pick the right setup for the desired cam, piston clearance, and intake pressure. Weiss' data is for nonported items.
That's sad how all these great companies get bought out then they end up selling crap like RHS like nearly almost all of there stuff is gone like that's suck. And now Dart is changing that sucks.

It's actually an elastic demand curve since the demand changed once the price increased. Had the demand not change with the price increase, then it would have been an inelastic demand curve.
Yeah it’s a good thing that they are using a Chinese copy of the Afr head because the DART head sucked even the platinum wasn’t that great, and they were not cheap, I didn’t know anybody that bought DART unless it was a big block Chevy guy or they found the parts used on craigslist
This dart SHP 220 that Eric’s reviewing is my cylinder head , I am surprised at the low flow numbers , I had this engine built back in 2017 dart SHP small block 427. I’ve been wrenching for 38 years just on normal stack engines never got into the performance part until 2017 and obviously that’s a completely different ballgame. The engine was in a 87 Monte Carlo SS 3500 pounds the cars best time was a 11:19 with a 1.8 60 ft. I don’t remember the mph but it was high, it had a very tight torque converter in it,, It flashed out about 2700 rpm 3:70 gear 29x9slicks solid roller approximately 700 lift duration at 50 263 , 268 I did wind up putting a 4500 stall in it, but never took it to the track with those heads on it. Dart heads are definitely crazy expensive , I did decide to purchase a set of AFR 220 race ports from Eric , so I’m going from 265 CFM at 700 lift to 311 CFM. Can’t wait to get the car together and see what it does.
I've had a set of Pro 1 Platinums for years, i just learned more about them in the last 5 minutes than i knew for the past 5 years , thanks Eric !
DRT-0560. Good video, thanks.
That`s exactly what happened to Crane Cams, the Bean Counters took over and the company melted away, it was about 20 yrs ago
it would be nice to show the difference between old and new shp 200. i just bought a used set
and wondering what i have?
Bought set of the 230s back in the day and ported them they flowed 280 . never ran them.my afr 220 heads flowed 320 didn't wanna slow down.sold them

Sorry guys to interject. I think you’ve had a miss understanding. Eric would probably agree. I don’t think Eric feels disrespected by the comment.

I think Mr. Maskin actually sold the company before he passed. He was ill, and didn't want to leave a burden for his family.
Eric, I know you don't port iron heads but do you flow them? Thinking about sending them in for a video for us Mopar small block guys.
I don’t have the flow plate for small block mopar
I have the old school Pro1’s. They’ve been around
215’s

Isn't Edelbrock heads and intakes still cast in California ( which is almost China )
Yes I accidentally left them out.

Weiss flow charts. It on the web already

Customers not buying when the price goes above a critical level is called 'inelasticity of demand'.
I am old lucky to remember at least I got the concept right

Edelbrock cast heads here in the USA.
Cfe is the best!
It’s called the price elasticity of demand 😮
Sound was not working but now its fine

@@glennborek2359 Awesome, you made a really good choice those new heads are gonna really fly!
Bean counters always wreck good companies
Edelbrock doesn't cast their own heads ?
They do that is the one I left out. Probably because I don’t consider them performance.
Do you do any reviews on king james bibles
No. I don’t have the knowledge or understanding to do that properly.
