- I'm getting antsy.. Antsy in my panties. Pantsies? Panties? Either works I spect.. It's that time of the year boiz and girlz. Everything is cold, but not cold enough. I'm a family man, and driving to the Deep South for a warm water trip is hard to manage, but.. There is a warm water treatment plant down yonder from mi casa. So I climbed down into he poop water a poked a few big instead. PAAA POWWW!!!

Good advice on getting out fishing when you're sick. It's hard to make yourself go, but once you get out, you're glad you did. The fresh air and sunshine does you more good than laying around indoors. Nice job on the buglemouth bass!

I live in Texas for a year in the Army. Fished the Lampasas river. It had high banks we would site the fish cast just up river and hold on . In six inches of water. Never since has it been better. Old now love your channel.
We are some carp lovin' weirdos over here... My son likes fishing for stripers, smallmouth, and largemouth from his kayak, but he always ends up on some point or island fishing for good old carp!

I don't think you need to keep apologizing to the carp haters. Carps are happy to live almost anywhere and they are always good for a nice tussle. I'd probably date one if I had the opportunity. And since you're fishing downstream from the poop factory I even have a location appropriate wisecrack: "I wouldn't $hit you 'cause you're my favorite turd !"

Nice catch, the first of the last 2 times I went fishing I used a whisker seeker rod as a light rod, slip float, jig head minnows, almost had my jig head straightened out, never got to see it but sure was tugging, never got to reel, caught 6 smallie that day and 9 the next day love your stuff

That's crazy you had ice by Thanksgiving last year???? I live almost to the northern tip of lower Michigan and I'd we get on it by Christmas it's a miracle. You should do a Lake Michigan Carp hunt man!! They grow big up here and stuff. Ye ole Shredded Wheat cereal is my #1 bait of choice and lots of it is sight fishing because the water is gin clear

I’ve caught 20+ pound carp on small Shad below dams before. Sometimes they’re real aggressive
1/4-1/2 oz jig heads really the only hooks I like to use ive tried many dif set ups but just a simple jig head is the best imo
I live in between 2 rivers that are both artificial lure only and ik for a fact a jighead and crawler would catch fish all day. It’s more difficult but it’s made me a solid angler for sure.
Ok, I will give you that karp are fun to catch, but there are so many of them that you can throw them on the bank and share them with the critters and the birds.

On the otter creek here at my house in Vermont I'd say we could catch 20 pound plus carp if I was to target them

In Ukraine a carp of this size in a river,not a private pond, is considered as a nice trophy.......and you would not catch it that easy.........(( BTW-If the river is clean peple eat them.....lots of bones, but you can cook them tasty ))
