A drive around the block - 2004 Subaru WRX w/Perrin Turbo Back

- This is a video of my 04 WRX, driving around the block. Yep, it's boring, and no, I didn't edit this at all (that should be pretty apparent). Hopefully this will help in the sale of the vehicle, and if not, it'll give you a pretty good idea of how the Perrin Turbo Back exhaust sounds in the cabin. If I had to compare it, it's only slightly louder than stock inside, but hearing it drive away it sounds magnificent.
One of the best sounding WRX's I've ever heard.
I loved my WRX's. I'm not delusional about them, I know what they are, but for what they are they're fantastic little cars.
The interior of the cars feels inexpensive, but fit and finish is nice. No rattles or squeaks, but the gears whine and whir as you drive. The engines idle rough, and the transmissions are notorious for being weak, but if you drive it while keeping it's weakness in mind, you'll be fine. You'll notice that I never speed shift, and that's because I take care of my things.
best sounding wind ive ever heard
Thanks very much! It really was the best exhaust you could want for a daily driver: Low in-cabin noise, good sounding exterior noise, stock looks. :D
Still rocking my 04 WRX, 320awhp, runs like a champ, of course I baby the hell out of the thing but what can I say...It's my baby, treat them right, do all the maintenance and up-keep and they will last a long time, nothing like AWD
its good to see an honest opinion,
that being said, I bought my wrx today.
That car sounds amazing!
Basically your buying a performance car and nothing else. I drive an 03 and from personal experience I can tell you the interiors are crap, idle is kinda rough, that's all the negative really, I love my car to death and plan on owning it for years to come, would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable, reliable, performance car.
So windy~ Nice ride.
They're OEM Subaru mats. They are the "Subaru All-Weather Floor Mats." Sorry for the late response. :)
Yes sir. Cluster was bought and installed by a Subaru dealership so that the mileage was perfect for the car, and the only extra light that they couldn't disable was the Rear Diff Temp warning.
would you recommend anyone getting a wrx?? cause im thinking of buying a bugeye but dont know if it would be worth it. super cool sound and super cool interior of ur car btw
when you're slowing down, consume less fuel if you leave it in gear and not in neutral.
this thanks to the cut-off system
You're absolutely right. I don't know why that never occurred to me before. Thanks for the tip!
+Travis T I cant believe you left you foot in the clutch the whole time you were at the light, around 1:20 smh
I know, that sucks. :( I wish I had taken a different video when I had the chance, but this car is long since gone so this is the best I can do.
She sounds like a woman being pleased wow
Nice car
No, I parted it out after the accident. Nothing was scrapped. :)
Wat brand floor mat is that i need them for mine
I've got two of 'em. ;)
Did you junk it?
cluster swap?
Can you drive a manual car in one gear. Like if I was on the highway can I keep it in third gear for about an hour or two?
Yes but you really shouldn't. If you run your car at really high rpms for too long you'll blow the motor and have to get a new one.
I mean I guess you could drive 70ish in 3rd gear... Its not the best idea, you could damage the engine if you do it for a long time and get crap gas mileage. On freeway speeds you should be in your highest gear 90% of the time.
are you stupid
I belive this is a 05 wrx though, radio is diff and so is gauges
This was an 04. Gauge cluster is different because it had a STi cluster swap, and the radio was from a STi as well.
The only discernible difference between the 04/05 WRX or STi interior is the center console is different. Different color and the cup holder moved from up near the radio to down between the seats.
+Travis T how much HP does a stock 2004 WRX have, I know I can look it up but would rather be told by someone that owns one.
thank for you time.
Obamastucks10128 Approximately 250chp (crank horsepower), which is approximately 200whp.
Cheers. =)
+Travis T that with the manual right
Obamastucks10128 Correct. Expect a slightly lower number, in the ballpark of about 25% parasitic loss.
Manual transmission cars are closer to about 18-20%
got an sti cluster? xD
For sale? Sorry, no. I sold it when I parted this car out.
... You have extreme gauges... That's gonna be a problem in the workforce or when you get old Lol.
I'll remember that when I stop being successful or can't get a good job. Thanks for your concern of the possibility of my career opportunities though. =)
No problem. Help a subro out.
Travis T د
That's a big ear...
