- In 2019, Verizon connected its IoT to the Scopeworker platform. Using Verizon's ThingSpace and CAS sensor, Verizon showcased the Verizon-Scopeworker solution its first responder customers at Operational Convergence Response. In this video, crisis management leadership holds a news briefing on the response and recovery operations to a wildfire. Verizon IoT sensors in the area had triggered Scopeworker's auto dispatch and live management of firefighters, police and EMT. It simultaneously auto-procured, dispatched, live-managed and paid second responders (certified utility workers, tow truck drivers and traffic control operators).
PROCURE (in milliseconds)
1. The wildfire set off Verizon's IoT sensors.
2 .Verizon IoT sensors trigger Scopeworker's auto-dispatch of firefighters, police and EMT.
3. Verizon IoT sensors trigger Scopeworker's auto-procurement and dispatch of local second responders (certified utility workers, tow truck drivers and traffic control operators).
MANAGE (in real time)
1. Live emergency management of mutli-agency and second responder resources on the ground.
2. Live situational awareness of wildfire direction from Verizon IoT sensors.
3. The Scopeworker app provided live task guidance and video support to first and second responders. The app worked on and offline. FEMA FIOP scopes optional.
4. Live analytics on second responder milestones, financials and SLAs.
PAY (in milliseconds)
1. In Scopeworker, crisis management leaders accepted the milestone deliverables of second responders.
2. Upon acceptance, Scopeworker automated invoice reconciliation, approval and Same Day Pay (supply chain financing against the approved invoice). Same Day Pay derisked the availability of local second responders in the area.
